Staying at the JW. Looking for a place to get some food and drinks. Perfect place. Coming back to get the secret menu! Abby says it's awesome!

    Charcuterie board aka lunchable.

It's a cute place, they have some specials buuuuuut we ordered a charcuterie board and it wasn't what I was expecting... it was a glorified lunchable. Will not do that again.

This place has such a cool vibe! The atmosphere was great and the bartender was super cool. He knew everything on the menu and was very knowledgeable about the chemistry behind it all. We really enjoyed sitting and chatting with him and loved this place! Definitely check it out!

This place has so much potential. Two stories, outdoor balcony, patio, bar, sofas, great view of the street. The experience was completely hampered by the server / bartender. She looked and acted completely annoyed that we would possibly asking her to do a job. I think she actually rolled her eyes at me when I asked if the upstairs patio was open. No thanks, plenty of other places to go in this town.

Luck of the Irish It was St. Patrick's Day and search all over downtown Austin for green beer until a bouncer said come on in we have it. I never been inside Foxy's Proper Pub where from outside looked small but it rather big inside. One problem before entering was it looked packed but decided to venture inside like an explorer. I was navigating shoulder to shoulder through people mostly 25 years younger than me where most were holding cups of shiny green beer. I ended up at a long bar under a chandelier made of green Jameson bottles. This room resembled a two story library out of Harry Potter. Lots of of iron, wood, and character, but no wands. As I finally got the attention of one of the many bartenders serving thirsty folks I got my green beer and those behind me were marveling at it. It tasted like a golden ale beer and enjoyed it. Besides green beer looks like on a normal day Foxy's serves a very wide range of authentic Irish mixed drinks, beer and food. It's really a cool place to checkout where I was impressed by what I could see in the massive crowd. There was patio, bar and indoor balcony seating. There was also what looked like a private area seeing a few going through a curtain unless it was the green beer talking. In hindsight the green beer made my day in celebrating St. Patrick's in style.

Great atmosphere Great service Great drinks If you're looking for a fun pub to eat and have drinks, this is your place!

The image shows a brick wall with a painted sign for Foxy's Proper Pub, located in Austin, Texas. The sign includes a stylized fox illustration and the pub's name in bold letters, with additional text indicating the location. The wall has a rustic appearance, and part of the pub's seating area with chairs is visible at the bottom of the image.

This Irish Pub has it all. Great food the fish and chips with the tartar sauce is amazing. The service is outstanding and friendly. The ambiance is what you would expect in an Irish Pub. I have been in Austin for a week and I keep returning for dinner. I am very impressed with this pub and would highly recommend it.

The courtyard at Foxy's Proper Pub - Outdoor patio at Foxy's Proper Pub in Austin, TX, with black Guinness umbrellas, wooden tables, and surrounding greenery. The area includes potted plants and a wall painted with green, white, and orange sections, reflecting Irish and American influences. The patio is adjacent to a building with brick and window features, and a staircase partially obstructs the view.

We came for the fish and chips. We were not disappointed. We were certainly blessed with a reasonably cool(ish) evening so the outdoor patio area was pleasant. The pub also has a good amount of indoor seating. You order at the bar, they give you a number, and they bring your food to your table. The fish and chips had a nice batter on them, not greasy or soggy. The fish was meaty and moist. The red ale had a nice balance between light and dark (leaning more toward light). The atmosphere is like being in a construction zone, which is just the way things are as Austin is bursting at the seams. All in all, a good experience. Definitely worth a visit.

Love this place! Visited for the first time on a Wednesday evening so it was laid back and not too crowded. The bartender was great! Attentive and gave good recommendations. We only came here for drinks but they have bar food as well. The drinks were good and fairly priced. TVs are around the bar playing sports so I imagine this is a good place to come for game days that's like a sports bar but still has class. Nice location in Austin within walking distance to other bars. Will be back!

Looking for a place to watch March Madness and it felt like a humid day packed like sardines in a Boston T car when we walked in and out of Lavaca. We were quite enlightened to walk into The Pub, right around the corner, welcoming us to a cool and dim space with tiled floor, trimmed walls, and embellishments of faux trees. The space wasn't overly packed and a good amount of TVs to feel supported by at least three different sporting events. Even a TV in the men's room (not women's). Service was great! Regular table sweeps. Eric at the bar was very kind and accommodating. What to order? You're in an Irish Sports Bar. A Guinness is a must. The heads were perfect. Pastrami sandwich. You won't be disappointed. And the Burger was actually pretty good too, and unique with touches of arugula and mixed brisket and ground beef meat. Of course, it's always a fun touch to have some special sauce offered. The only thing I noticed that seemed unusual was, not only an automatic tip applied but also, a credit card processing fee added to the bill. Felt a little odd and out of place. Of course, I'm not sure if this is applied with regular service, as we ordered directly from the bar (despite sitting at a high top nearby). Another observation: a lot of people ordered wine and even espresso martinis here. Either they know something I don't, or this place calls to a variety of people. Cheers!

Yeah, its a pretty standard sports bar, but they have some interesting food items and a pretty killer beer list. We went with the onion rings which was the highlight of the meal. They were perfectly sized and crunchy! Great call! I went with the Irish Potato which was basically a giant baked potato topped with Shepard's pie. I am not a big shepard's pie kind of guy, but I thought it added quite a bit to the potato so I was happy with my pick! My buddy got the fish and chips. There was only one fish and he said it wasn't particularly warm. That was a bummer along with it taking forever to get service here. With that being said, the place was decently packed so our server was likely doing the best she could. The Domain seems to be one of those weird places where they can get overwhelmed really fast. Jack and Gingers seems to be able to keep their heads above water, even if some things get shaky. I would come back! Why not? Drinks were good, food was fine, sports? I am happy!

My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it.
