I had to organize a corporate reception at a private home and I could not have chosen a better business to work with. I did diligent research and talked to multiple business owners about my event, received various quotes and I. The whole picking process Gourmet Gals were a front runner. I was very happy that they were able to offer catering services as well as bartending services. I did not have to deal with 2 different companies. I was impressed with their professionalism, quick response time, thorough follow up, and putting together a menu that was exactly what I asked for. Sherri was a pleasure to work with and she responded super quickly to all requests, including a slight budget change. The food was delicious. Exec. Chef Mark prepared food on site and it was the most fresh, tasty beautifully presented. Passed Hors d'oeuvre Chicken Diablos had a little kick to them, as the bacon wrapped chicken had some pickled jalapeños. Parmesan Stuffed Mushrooms were particularly tasty for me, with flavors singing and dancing together. Beef on sliders was very high grade, and had even two slices per each slider. Grilled veggies were a hit, and Feta and Garlic dip was very popular as well. Petite sweets and berries with fresh whipped cream topped the party. We had 4 people on site from Gourmet Gals: Mark the chef who did an amazing job, Rebecca the manager to make sure everything goes smoothly, Vivian who passed around food and made sure food was presented and replenished, and our bartender who made sure everybody had a drink in their hands. Thank you Gourmet Gals for your professionalism and for going extra mile to have a successful event!

Sherri worked with us for several months leading up to the event and did her best to tailor the dinner to our needs. Her team showed up early and then disappeared into the background. Our guests seemed to love the food and when the event was over, we found that she had made two additional plates of food just for us, and then placed all of the leftovers in a nice neat container for guests to enjoy the next day. I would highly recommend them. Thanks Sherri and team.

We recently used Chef Mike at NOLA Kitchen for a private corporate event. From initial conversation…read moreto dinner execution Chef Mike was on point. I reached out to establish a menu, he made some helpful suggestions and was flexible around timing. Deposit paid. Prior to our engagement he confirmed times and menu items and asked about any changes, we had a minor reduction in headcount which was no problem. Day of Chef Mike arrived on time with all the required items to cook and the ingredients for his recipes. Truly, everyone had a blast! This was dinner for six at an AirBnB in Austin, he's done this type of thing quite a few times and can enter AirBnB's with a passcode to start preparing if you or your guests are running late. Very accommodating overall. As far as the food was concerned, YES! Amazing. Everything from the appetizers to salad to main and finally desert. The hero of my meal was the Crab Salad with Ragivote dressing and the Crawfish Etouffe, stellar food. He also gave a bit of a breakdown of Creole/Cajun history. I would 100% book Chef Mike again. I know our group was smaller than usual for him but he was super accommodation. I would recommend him for any corporate event catering or group private dining in the Austin area!

I was a little concerned during the planning process because of limited communication, but I think that was just me being a control freak. Our company had a budget which was shot down by several other caterers, but Chef Donald was able to accommodate us within our price range and no one left the party hungry. In fact, we had TONS of leftovers! The food was also delicious and presented beautifully, we received countless compliments on all of it. We hope to use Dine by Design at every holiday party in the years to come.

We had multiple meetings and interactions with Morgan and Ruby. We were impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. We did a formal sit down dinner with cocktail hour prior. We also hired them to cook our late night food. Of all the vendors we hired we were not worried about Vestals delivering everything they promised. Sadly the night of the wedding was a completely different story. The service was extremely slow and chaotic. My guests were left wondering if they would ever get dinner and it made our wedding time line run way behind. The tables were not bused and the bartenders had to start grabbing glasses off tables since Vestals was not doing it. Waters were not refilled and it was an overall scene we never ever expected. Lastly they didn't cut the grooms cake and left it sitting on the cake table. I give them 2 stars because the food was good but honestly the service was less than 1 star. I warn other Austin brides that they will promise everything but deliver a different experience.

My husband and I initially wanted another well-known BBQ Asian fusion restaurant to cater our…read morewedding and were pretty set on it. But after our guest list grew, we had to move locations and our venue was no longer within their catering vicinity. I searched high and low for different vendors that fit the fusion that we wanted, but couldn't find anything that fit just right (or that didn't break the bank). Then I somehow stumbled across Rebel Catering on Google. They had a wide variety of packages for food varying from Asian, to bbq, to Mexican. They didn't have a ton of reviews, and it seemed like they mostly did corporate events, but I gave them a call. I'll be honest, I was a bit apprehensive of how incredibly chill Rahul is at first (because I was already stressed out), but when I told him about our vision, he immediately checked with his chefs and created an incredible menu for us. My mom and mother in law's primary request was copycats of the other restaurant's corn fritters, and he even delivered on that. I'll attach a picture of the menu, but our minds were blown at the quality and freshness of the food. Buffet style brisket is HARD and he and his team crushed it. I even had friends with allergies and he accommodated them without question. The most popular part of the night though was the shaved ice. Part of Rebel Catering is their shaved ice package with alcoholic shaved ice (TABC bartender included). They had custom flavors to match our Asian fusion theme, and even brought their truck in to serve our guests! They also created a custom flavor named after our cat and created a sign with a cute cartoon of him. They also had tons of other drinks including sodas, jelly drinks, boba drinks, and energy drinks. TLDR: HIRE REBEL CATERING. Your guests will love you forever.

My friend and I decided to split something because I also wanted to try their cobbler. She orders the meatloaf only to be told it isn't ready and will be a 20 minute wait. So, she ended up ordering the baked chicken and rice. I ordered a side of mac and cheese and some cobbler. The guy says they didn't make cobbler today. The cobbler was the main thing I wanted from this truck. The mac and cheese is ok, not creamy or cheesy, very peppery, a bit oily. I just feel kinda like it's missing something that would make it taste really good. It's like they decided it's a side, so why try. I ended up throwing half of it out because it was just too greasy for me :( You get a piece of cornbread complimentary with your order. I opened up the foil it was wrapped in and it was hard and crumbly. I don't often eat cornbread so I asked my friend if it's supposed to be dry. She said noooo, I'll take her word for it. She said the chicken she got was really good, but the rice was very salty. I don't know, when I hear a business is going to do some homestyle food, I expect it to taste homestyle. They aren't doing their granny justice, that much I know. I just feel like this is food you should really care about and this food felt like an afterthought entirely.
