    Wasn't that an accurate cut

My experience with Limback Lumber wasn't that great. I wanted to build a 4x8 feet raised bed and saw their advertisement about cedar lumber sale and free shipment. I called to ask for free shipment and they said it could take up to 2 weeks so I decided to drive and pick it up myself. They had some sample cedar boards in the store which were not smoothed but they were decent so I paid for 6 of them and went outside to pick it up. Well the ones outside were in really bad shape with cracks and holes in them. So decided to pay extra to buy their premium cedar boards (27 dollars per piece instead of 14$). I asked them to cut two of them into half and also asked to cut 4 1 feet 4x4s for the corners. When I got home, I realized that the ones that they cut half were almost an inch off and the one of the boards is badly warped. Also 4 corner boards were all different heights. Overall I was building a raised-bed so I didn't care returning back but at the end I paid over $200 for bed quality material which I could get cheaper and better at HD. Also person worked with me wasn't super friendly either. In summary, I would not suggest this business unless you don't have any other options.

They even cut the wood and when I came to pick up they left it outside so I didn't have to go inside the store.

Love this place! I've been a donor (of items) and customer since 2007. It's the best salvage spot…read morein the city, IMO, and I've frequented them all for many years, both as a contractor and as a homeowner. Almost all the employees I've interacted with have been pleasant, helpful, and friendly with very few exceptions. Regarding 'haggling' with them, in the few cases where I felt it was appropriate, they were always willing to entertain a fair transaction. Funny how that works-- if you come in with the right attitude! (I'm lookin' at you, 1- and 2-star reviewers! ) Salvage work is hard, and dealing with jackwagon 'hagglers' or unprepared 'customers' makes it harder. Show the BR folks some love; save the self-righteous attitude for Restoration Hardware.

The most interesting shop in Ballard you never noticed!…read more Located just off the main drag in Ballard, this location is central and convenient. There is a lot of parking, though there is some sketchy street activity (rvs etc) in that area. This would be an incredibly fun place to shop if you were decorating a home or business... they have mass amounts of light fixtures, windows, doors, hearths, door knobs... plus a section of furniture. And by furniture I mean in any form. Old restaurant booths and stools, large armoires, nice old solid wood pieces. I was hoping to find some local or retro Seattle art, and it was a little sparse today, though I expect it gets picked through frequently. Will definitely come browse again in the future.
