Worst experience in my 20 years of having Nails on. I'll start by saying maybe it's the nail tech that you get but I had the guy at the first counter and it was awful. I could tell immediately by the way he couldn't work the foot pedal for the nail file. He burned me the entire time on each of my fingers and underneath my nails. I kept pulling away and telling him he was burning me. Uneven nails all around, the polish actually is comical. I told them this was the worst experience in 20 years and I just wanted to go home. I was there for almost 2 hours! The kicker is he was not even going to bother, taking off the polish all around my cuticles and on my fingers. I said are you literally going to leave it like that. He tried to take it off yet again with a nail file and the foot pedal nail Trimmer and I was like what are you doing? I finally asked for somebody else to come over and finish because I was beyond upset. He also had the nerve to ask me multiple times if I liked his work and I said no, not really. Rigid edges, sticking to my skin from not filing and trimming properly so that will be fun when it grows out. Literally the worst experience ever. read more

BEWARE!! I had booked an appointment a day in advanced and when I arrived the place was less than half full yet I still had to wait 10 minutes just to be seated. Then I waited for 30 minutes while my feet became prunes in the hottest water possible. The staff didn't even acknowledge me until I got up and just said I was leaving. Absolutely poor customer service! I wasn't the only one waiting either. A lady next to me commented that she had been waiting for over 30 minutes to be seen. I'm not sure why anyone would ever frequent this establishment. The management have absolutely no idea what they are doing. I wish there was an option to give zero stars because I would. read more

Loved how quick the artist was but maybe it was too quick. Two nails were filled too much to one side and when asked to correct, there were only a few strokes of filing before the nail artist moved on. Didn't expect a whole fix but at least to file it to look less noticeably mishaped. Pricing can be deceiving as I was quoted one price but paid another. Still tipped well as I always do but will think twice before coming back. They were nice and friendly though. read more

The guy who filed my nails did a pretty good job. However, when he was filling down my previous gel set, down to my cuticle area it burned! Not to mention he CUT ME with the nail filer! I didn't find out about it until an hour later, when my pinky was burning from using hand sanitizer! After he was finished shaping my nails, I had another lady paint them. I originally wanted a gel French manicure, but I could tell she was new and still learning so eventually I just had her paint this sheer, nude polish. By the 2nd day, the paint on my right thumb chipped off.. HOW? I also noticed a streak on my right index finger! I certainly will not be returning to this shop! read more

Visited Minnesota for my friend's wedding. We decided to pamper ourselves for a day so went to look for a place to get manicures and pedicures. Lilly Nails was the best place I have been to yet and everyone I was with agreed. We are sad we can only visit once since we are from New Jersey but we would come back weekly. The nail engineers were extreme friendly and offered great service. Gotta love the massage chairs. If you're looking for a great nail salon with a great price. Look no further. read more

Second visit, nope. Was left waiting multiple times in the middle of my manicure. Was told my tech would change to a different person, was then left for 5-10 minutes, and then original tech came back, worked on my nails some more (filing way more off than I asked for and not in the shape I wanted, and crooked as well), and then left me again. Finally a woman came over to paint the gel polish on. She berated me into having my cuticles cut, though I didn't want them cut. She then had a difficult time getting it out of the bottle. I volunteered to choose a new color as this one was old/too dry but she would have none of it. She very sloppily painted four coats on my nails as the gel polish was difficult to apply and sheer. The polish was everywhere, over the sides and ends of my nails. Some of my nails were sealed at the ends... To fix this, at the end of the manicure she shoved a nail file along the polish and skin and filed. WHAT? My nails looked awful, had sharp ridges along the edges and were stuck to my skin. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Will never go back. read more

This was my first visit to Lilly Nails. I called the day before and scheduled an appt. Arrived 10 minutes early and they had me pick my colors and sat me right away. Great! Well, not so much. I had a gel manicure and regular pedicure totaling $50 ($25 for the gel manicure and $25 for the pedicure) - not so bad. Now for the disappointing parts of my visit. The gentleman (there was only one) that did my pedicure messed up on my big toes and when I asked him to fix it, he did a poor job of repainting it. The pedicure lasted only about 20 minutes which was disappointing. He took a long time trimming and prepping too. I felt he was still learning and it was something I wasn't expecting. I've had pedicures usually last twice as long and with great precision. As far as the nails, they were poorly trimmed and the paint job was horrible. My nails were all the same length when I came in and I had her trim a bit and apparently she trimmed some but not all of them. They were not even. I asked her to file three of them down which she did but at the end, I saw that they were still uneven. The nails took about 25 minutes because the gel had to dry properly. The pictures shown were taken only an hour after I had them done. I was so disappointed that I had to sign up to Yelp about my experience. Although there were lights in the salon and light from the outside, I felt it was still dim. They had one flat screen television that had the news on but the volume was very low. There was an unusual silence in the salon which was quite uncomfortable. The location is part of a strip mall and easy to find. The place is clean and the tools used looked like it had been sanitized by how it was presented in a bag of its own. Staff was friendly but inexperienced. I think there might have been 1 out of 5 there that knew what he/she was doing. After I had my nails done, I went and looked at two others in the salon and they were just as mediocre as mine. It's a risk trying new places and I'm glad I was able to experience and let people know. I won't be going back but I hoped this was helpful for those that are looking for a nail salon. read more

When you get your nails done there when they drill your nails they cut me and I was bleeding when I finished they looked great the color was white but after a few days they turned brown/tan and most of them very easily came off I do not recommend this at all ! read more

Bad news first: they don't list their hours on their website, don't have an answering machine with their hours on it and they have the "open" sign lit up and blinking when they're not open sometimes... Good news: When I did FINALLY get there when they were open I got in right away. I got a regular pedicure (it took about 45 minutes to an hour) and a manicure with the gel polish (took about 30-45 minutes). I don't get pedicures very often so my heels needed a LOT of attention. They got them nice and smooth and it didn't cost anything extra. My total for a mani (with gel)/and a pedi (no gel) was $50. I thought that was a great price. I'll be back! **update. I've been to lilly nails 3 times now. I've had 2 gel manicures, 1 regular pedicure with no gel and 1 deluxe pedicure with no gel. The deluxe pedicure is an extra $10. For that $10 you get a hot towel on your legs and an extra massage and they exfoliate your leg as well. I just had this deluxe pedicure yesterday and I would NOT recommend it at all. The towel was so hot that it hurt, I didn't even notice any extra massage and the exfoliating treatment wasn't anything special (the friend I was with said it hurt). I'd still give them 4/5 stars, just skip the deluxe pedicure. read more

Don't wait for service. Two of us visited in mid-afternoon. Three people were working and they were busy. We were seated for pedicures and we waited 40 minutes (in cold water) before one was even started. Then we were told 5 minutes for the second, but I was finished before the second would have been started, she declined the service and we left about 1.5 hours later with only one pedicure They even slipped in a scheduled appoint during our wait. My Pedicure was fine, but they need to improve on time estimates for waiting customers. We will not return. Rating one star for lack of courtesy to communicate wait time. Called ahead to see how much a manicure with gel and a regular pedi would be I was quoted 50 bucks. When I went to check out was told 55. Did not bring up the fact that I was quoted 50 by phone but it still left me feeling like I got cheated. A list on the wall of pricing would be nice but I didn't see this. Overall I thought the pedicure and manicure were fine (not the best) since the lady started my manicure and then dissapeared to go attend to another client for about 5 to 10 minutes. She did apologize but i have never had this happen at any other shop. Just a little disappointing that I was told one thing but charged another. PROCEED WITH CAUTION! For screenshots of my daughter's initial review and a photograph of her nail, please see their Facebook page. I stopped at this salon to give the salon an opportunity to make this situation right - to refund my daughter her money...$21 to be exact - OR to retrieve the licensing information for the nail technician who was responsible for this if they were still unwilling to refund her money. I walked in, asked to speak with a manager, the manager presented herself and I informed her that I was there about my daughter's nail. As the manager told my daughter and her father earlier in the day, she was totally unwilling to refund my daughter her money and instead wanted to give her a gift certificate for the salon in the amount of $5.00. For me, the manager wanted to remedy the situation with a $15.00 gift certificate - both certificates for less than what my daughter paid for the initial service, which resulted in having a quarter of her nail filed off to the point of bleeding. Earlier in the day, she advised my daughter to put Vaseline on her nail and it would be healed in "a few days." I should point out that the magical healing properties of Vaseline were not expressed to my daughter by the nail technician at the time this occurred...my daughter asked for a Band-Aid, requested he leave the nail alone for fear of further irritating the nail/bed and infection. The nail tech instead insisted that she allow him to put NAIL POLISH over it because then it would feel better. The manager indicated to me that refunds were not her policy and that she offered my daughter a gift certificate because she wanted my daughter to return to her to ensure her nail was healing and because she has nail hardener that would make it "less painful." I informed the manager that the gift certificate does no good if she no longer trusts that this is a capable establishment. I also informed her that while I understand mistakes happen, in business, and life really, it is how we handle these mistakes and that this situation is not being handled properly. While all of this is going on, the nail tech pulls out his wallet and starts pulling out money, at which point the manager says something I was unable to understand and the tech then puts his money and his wallet away. When it became apparent that the salon was not going to refund my daughter's money, I asked the manager for the licensing information on this nail tech, she simply pointed at the wall. I informed the manager that while I could see where the licenses are displayed, that the mere sight of the licenses does me no good if I do not know which license belongs to this particular tech. Needless to say, she ignored my request. I then asked the nail tech, who actually pointed to his license and made a point to walk over and actually show me his name - of course it was clear the manager didn't appreciate his honesty because she then yelled to me that *she* was the one that was responsible. I should also add that I informed the manager and tech that not only do I get my nails done regularly and that I know what the procedure is when removing dip powder (file to rough up the polish, then soak) I also looked up the Infection Control Requirements in Minnesota. And while I didn't go over the list there, they're supposed to know what protocol is...and they did not follow it. The moral of the story...I'm not worried about the money, I am however more interested in the principal of the matter - the way this salon is choosing to deal with this situation... their tech made a mistake...a refund is in order...but apparently refunds are not their "policy" despite knowing their tech made not only a mistake but a mistake much more severe than polish chipping prematurely, etc. read more

I arrive at 7:15pm on a Monday and the doors were locked. It is posted on the sign that they are open until 8pm. There was one worker who came to the door and said her family decided to leave early. I tried explaining to her that I was from out of town and had taken an Uber 20 minutes to go there since they were open late. All she said was that her family went home early. I loved Lilly Nails! My daughter and I showed up just when they were closing and we were welcomed with genuine smiles even though it was closing time. They took us ASAP and had us choose our services and colors. My nail technician Rosee did exactly what I wanted! By far, the best nails I have ever had done! I loved that Rosee was able to do the sparkly leopard print on my accent nail, just like my picture. Lilly Nails is a top notch nail salon. Rosie was a very attentive nail technician. At other salons you have to pay for every little thing, even your nails being cut. It was an extra $2 at my last salon. Warm towels are also extra and at Lilly Nails Rosie used warm towels on my legs included in the $35 price for a pedicure and manicure. I've been looking for a salon that is clean, affordable, friendly and I have finally found one close to my home. I went last Saturday, October 3, and had a lovely pedicure by Rosie and gel manicure by Vy. My gel manicure is by far the best I've had - meticulous in detail and not one stroke out of place. Honestly, the first time I came here I wasn't impressed. But the first time I wouldn't have written a review. I recommend you read this review through before you decide to get your nails done here. I came in 12/12/2017, and I asked for a manicure--fine whatever, I told the man the minute I sat down on the chair that there was dip powder that needed to be soaked off. He thought I meant I wanted it and mentioned it would be more. Then I told him that I had previously gotten dip powder, which he initially thought that I wanted dip powder, so I reexplained to him again that I previously had powder that was still there, and would just like it taken off and put in regular polish. He informed me it would be extra to take off the powder and it's not unpopular for that to be the case everywhere. From that point on he seemed unbothered and in a rush. I pointed out which fingers visibly had the powder. He immediately started drilling. It seemed like the drill was going too fast or he was drilling too much. It got very hot and while I didn't say anything I did pull away and say I think we should soak them. And he brought over a bowl of acetone so I soaked and he bang yo drill again. At this point he's working on my right pinky and then it starts to bleed. Like he drilled through the nail. My attention was brought to it when I put my hand in the acetone and it was extremely painful for my pinky. The man put clotting drops on it, which again was fine, but I asked him multiple times for a band aid and to just skip that one because I didn't want to irritate it. He insisted it would be fine after adding polish and it wouldn't hurt as much. But again that wasn't my concern. My concern was an infection. So he painted over it and even then it was still bleeding and it bubbled up the polish. I told myself I would give it a day after he painted it to see if it would help because He's supposed to be the tech, then I began picking at the bubbled spots and I saw clear pus. Then I began picking the polish around it because I didn't want to irritate it with more remover. I went back today 12/13/17 and they told me they were unable to give me a refund because the vendor who processed the payment had been paid and that was their policy. So they said a gift card could be issued and I could nurse my nail for a couple days and come get it repolished. When I refused, they said nothing could be done. My dad asked for their license number and for the techs name, but she stayed silent and pointed to the licenses and refused to tell us his name. read more

I highly recommend this salon! When I arrived I was attended to right away. My nail technician was so kind. I was very impressed with their sanitation, the tools she used were all cleaned up in a bag that she had to rip open, almost like they were new. I had a bit of trouble figuring out what gel color I wanted and she went back and forth multiple times getting new colors for me and painting each on my nail so I could get an idea of what it looked like! After a few tries I finally just decided on black, like always. She seemed very concentrated on making sure every brush stroke was perfect and there was no painting off of my nail. I have had technicians at other places looking off watching tv and being distracted while doing my nails so having someone so concentrated on doing my nails right was a great relief! Stopped in with my 7-year-old daughter for pedicures at Lilly nails because of the Yelp reviews as we were on our way home from a trek to Wisconsin that day. I loved the attention to detail when painting my toes. The Pedicure was relaxing and everything seemed very clean. The folks working there were nice and I liked the array of pedicure options. I opted for the smoothing pedicure to get off those rough patches for summer. No high pressure on upgrading pedicure at all. This is the first place I've ever had my nails done and I'd never go back. I had gel polish put on, less than a week later 2 are pealing off. They fixed it once and the next morning the same one was pealing off and a new one. I asked for a refund since I've been there twice and they said they wouldn't. But they would fix it. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. They pay no attention to the people with appointments. My friend and I were there for over 4 hours...for a manicure. Yes, it was busy due to the holidays. However, they were taking walk ins knowing they had a packed schedule. They made my nails crooked and the design looks like my 7 year old cousin with cerebral palsy did them. I'd almost prefer that my cousin did them instead. They cut my friend's fingers SEVERAL times and then still said she had to pay even though she didn't finish them. They cut her so bad she couldn't stop bleeding. Don't waste your time. Save your fingers and find a better place. I heard the nail salon near Cub foods is a good place. They don't treat you like a person here. They talk about their clients right in front of their faces. The only reason they don't know is because most people don't speak the language. My friend understood what they were saying. A horrible place. They did an awful job. And they were awful towards us. I wouldn't step place in there again unless it was to tell them off. If they couldn't handle that many people, they shouldn't have taken that many appointments.
