    Interactive Splash Pad

I remember back in the day when Centennial Park introduced the dancing fountains where you could run through and it was such a novel fun idea. Now there are "splash pads" everywhere. The splash pad closest to me is Downtown Norcross - took my 5-year old nephew and he had a lot of fun. We went around 11am on a weekday and there were lots of kids and moms (or nannies), from toddler to elementary school age ... but mostly toddlers. They have nice benches too for the parents. Their website says the park is open Mon-Sun 9am-10pm so not sure if that includes the splash pad too. I recommend parking in the lower level next to the splash pad otherwise if you park at the top, just be ready to walk down a lot of steps. Also recommend bringing drinking water to hydrate your kids. And probably obvious but the kids will want to wear swimsuits.

This is one of my favorite parks EVER! We've done multiple photo shoots here and countless television programs. It's a perfect setting for a chill afternoon. You can get work done if you ignore the blaring Bose speakers in the ground. They typically play top 40 stuff. They have a fountain and a beautiful waterfall. And no you cannot swim in either. Admire from a distance . #ashsaidit

It's September in Atlanta and the weather is BEAUTIFUL. So of course, to take advantage of the brief fall that Atlanta gets, I've been trying to get outside the house as much as possible. Lillian Webb Park is one of the surrounding parks of the Historic Norcross district. After a dinner or snack at one of the many restaurants in the area, it's great to take a stroll by the fountains and take in the quiet air. Music plays from speakers in the ground, which is pretty awesome. I've seen people taking prom pictures here, so it really is picturesque. I, myself have taken many a Facebook profile picture here, even in the hot and sweaty sun. My one complaint was that on a mild September night, cockroaches were ALL over the fountains. They emerged from cracks in the stone walls and stairs and it's pretty freaking disgusting. So be sure to watch your step: not because of the stairs but because you want to make sure you're not knee deep in roaches... Romantic at night, chill by day. A great way to get your steps in (all you FitBit users) but enjoy your surroundings in town.

Lillian Webb Park is a small yet beautiful park located just next to Historic downtown Norcross, and although small, this park is home to nothing but fun. I like how the park is almost a secret, if you walk towards it from downtown norcross, because you really only see the gate, and the fountain, which is beautiful. Keep on walking though and you get a top down view of lush green space, and a fountain splash pad where kids are no doubt having fun in while chasing the high squirting water streams. To go into the popularity of the park, a friend and I came here for the food trucks and film night event, but when we got there, a ton of prom students were busy getting their photos taken at this beautiful park, and can you blame them? Food trucks and film night is typically located at the base of the park near the restroom areas, and during this particular event, typical favorites like King of Pops, Brazilian Taste, and Island Chef Cafe served Norcross locals before the movie began. Not many people seem to know that Downtown Norcross even exists, but do yourself a favor and not only go get some good food in this little area, but take time to stroll around the park on a lazy day. You wont regret it at all!

I've have been to this park three times in two weeks. Can you say addicted?! This park has it all yet it is still quaint. Volleyball section with clean sand. Large grass field large enough to play a game of football or frisbee. An area to host a small party, a gazebo and plenty of seating including wooden swings. And of course the most awesomess (yes, awesomess) part of the park, the geyser like fountain!!! Instead of making the trip to centennial, I will always come here for a little fun in the sun. I can relax and catch a tan, while my son and his friends go crazy in the fountain and play catch. Just my luck, today they have food trucks!!! I found yet another little oasis I stumbled upon. Thanks do much Yelp.

How am I just finding this place!? Lots of open space for children to run around as well as a small walk path. The area is well maintained and even has clean restrooms (uncommon in most public parks)! Very close proximity to shops, restaurants, and taverns.

What a nice suprise! Historic Norcross is really cute and this park is clean and conveniently located near cute shops and restaurants. I didn't see any grills or picnic areas, which would be a nice bonus.

Big wide open space to play. Two sand volleyball courts on south side of park (if bathrooms to the left of you, you're heading in right direction); gazebo; swings; recently added tables; bathrooms that do not get insanely hot; and fountains. Sort of. Sign says that have an underground problem with fountains, so they are out of commission for the time being. Park is well lit at night. Very rare to see any dog poop that hasn't been picked up. Lots of construction going on near park right now too. Walking distance to a couple of great restaurants.

Beautiful park located in Historic Norcross along with Thrasher Park. There are fountain, waterfall, interactive splash pad, walking trail, and volley ball area. There's a market going on every Tuesday from May until September. Many people come out to Lillian Webb Park every July 3rd to watch fireworks. The wide lawn is great for picnics; and there's music played in the park. Free parking. Very clean & well kept. I've seen people taking wedding pictures here.

This park is by far my favorite in Gwinnett County because of the mixed use paved versus non-paved pathways, well-maintained, and overall cozy vibes. Like an outdoor museum. Even the restrooms are the best that I've seen in local parks. The location is very conveniently located with a Duluth entrance and Suwanee entrance. Plenty of parking. Even a public garden. Busiest times are after 11am on weekdays and after 10am on weekends. The best entrance is on the Duluth side off of Old Norcross Road. Great for taking a morning walk and then visiting the local cafes afterwards.

The park itself had ample parking spaces. And the facilities there were clean and well maintained. There were various trails that's away from the main paved path. These side trails were nicely shaded and eventually leads back on the main path. The historic farm structures like the main house, farmhouse, side house and its outhouse are still erect. That's the charm of this place with the well groomed flower garden that someone upkeeps. The old and new altogether. As you wander the park, you forget you're in the heart of Duluth where shopping and restaurants galore await you. Because while you're talking around (and trying not to sweat to death during the summer), you'll hear the summer insects buzzing. It literally reminded me of my childhood during the summers hearing the loud insects buzz away.

I read some of the info posted along the paths near the fountains and learned that Roswell actually used to be part of Cobb County. I had no idea and found that really interesting having just moved here to Georgia earlier in the year. They had some other facts about the area and history on that part of the river too. What was great about this park was that it was pretty dead on a weekday morning. A lot of other parks are usually busy at this time, since we are still going thru the pandemic of course. I think we only saw one other person on the trail (with plenty of room to distance) and one other person parked in a car off to the side of the trail. We enjoyed the seclusion. I liked everything about the park - the gazebo and fountain area, the view of the river down the trail, the historical value, etc. Just a nice place to exercise or go to relax. I hope to be back soon.

What a gem in the middle of Peachtree Corners!…read more Lately, our family has been spending more time outside and seeking out spots that are not packed full of people. I am so grateful that we found Simpsonwood Park, a wonderful space to enjoy nature close to home. The first few times we visited Simpsonwood, we parked ourselves in the large grassy area for picnics. We found a shady spot near the edge of the woods. We saw several families playing frisbee and other sports, but there was plenty of space for all of us. We really started having fun once we hiked the trail around the park. We walked a path of about two and a half miles. We took our time and looked around - probably took us about an hour. At times, the trail was a touch unclear, and I referenced the All Trails app to help make sure we were on course. There is a stream, lots of trees, wildlife, and the river. We saw lots of deer throughout the hike and made a point to keep our distance. The hike was relatively mild, but was narrow in some places, with definite uneven footing throughout. This hike definitely scratched the itch to be in the woods without driving to North Georgia. Look for "minis" while you hike (see pics)! Please note that every time we have visited, we have seen numerous dogs off leash. It is my understanding that it is not an off leash park, but we ran into many dogs that were not leashed. One even joined our picnic one day, minutes before an owner appeared. So if you do not wish to be in the presence of dogs or if you have dogs that are offended by the presence of other dogs, this may not be the spot. All of our encounters have been with friendly dogs. We have never had trouble finding a parking space, but I wouldn't say spaces are unlimited. There are park restrooms available near the parking lot. This park is a great opportunity to spend some time soaking up sunshine and stretching one's legs. Enjoy!

We ended up hiking about 6 miles in nice shaded area on the trails. Some rocks and roots, so you must be careful. Relatively flat with a few small hills. The big downside is there are no trail markers or signs, so having a person in your group that is familiar with the area is necessary. We had two people that knew the trails, so zero markings was not a problem for us. Great outdoor area. Currently (4/23) there is construction of new water treatment plant along the river. Not many people here, so is sort of a hidden gem. Every one in our group enjoyed the hike. Lots of free parking. Restrooms available, but they were so-so inside. Definitely worth a stop. Also CRNRA Jones Bridge unit is across the river for additional hiking trails and is very well marked for easier navigation.

The layout is fun and the park itself is beautiful, especially in the winter when the leaves are thin and you can actually see the baskets through the trees. That said, the course could really benefit from clearer signage. Several pads weren't well marked, and we even had to skip a hole because we couldn't figure out where it started or ended. Since we only had time to play about half the course, we found ourselves spending more minutes navigating than throwing. I can't imagine how tough it must be in the summer when everything is fully leafed out -- it's probably like searching for a needle in a haystack.
