This park contains wonderful play equipment (swings, obstacle courses, etc...) for the children. On the other side is a very nice large gazebo area that has lots of table benches complete with three built in charcoal grills for groups, families, and individuals to have picnics or BBQs on/at. Also, there is a nice little wooden seating area just a little bit aways from the BBQ/picnic area. You can also walk a little further down from that area and go onto a little wooden secured platform the hangs just right over the Chattahoochee Lake to see the lake and all it's beauty. There is also a wonderful nature trail that you can walk on with or without a pooch companion to see the beautiful wooded area and all of the beautiful trees there. I absolutely love this park. I cannot comment on the bathroom that they have on and right next to their parking lot as I have never been inside of it. The parking lot is not large, but is pretty decent. I do recommend this park as it is worth going to, visiting, and seeing.

This park is by far my favorite in Gwinnett County because of the mixed use paved versus non-paved pathways, well-maintained, and overall cozy vibes. Like an outdoor museum. Even the restrooms are the best that I've seen in local parks. The location is very conveniently located with a Duluth entrance and Suwanee entrance. Plenty of parking. Even a public garden. Busiest times are after 11am on weekdays and after 10am on weekends. The best entrance is on the Duluth side off of Old Norcross Road. Great for taking a morning walk and then visiting the local cafes afterwards.

Tucked right at the…read morecorners of Roswell, Alpharetta, and Johns Creek is this spacious park with access to the Chattahoochee River, a bunch of little trails, and even a little bit of history. I read some of the info posted along the paths near the fountains and learned that Roswell actually used to be part of Cobb County. I had no idea and found that really interesting having just moved here to Georgia earlier in the year. They had some other facts about the area and history on that part of the river too. What was great about this park was that it was pretty dead on a weekday morning. A lot of other parks are usually busy at this time, since we are still going thru the pandemic of course. I think we only saw one other person on the trail (with plenty of room to distance) and one other person parked in a car off to the side of the trail. We enjoyed the seclusion. I liked everything about the park - the gazebo and fountain area, the view of the river down the trail, the historical value, etc. Just a nice place to exercise or go to relax. I hope to be back soon.

Lillian Webb Park is 5 acres and a city park that has an interactive splash pad and volleyball courts. It's like I walked into a storybook or something, the park is beautifully landscaped and the central focus is a waterfall. There are so many beautiful things that are Instagram worthy. It was a beautiful with clear skies but surprisingly the park wasn't crowded. Its opened from 8 to 10 Monday to Sunday. The park has an open green space perfect for a game of catch or an outdoor lunch on a blanket. You can also find lots of benches on each level of the park, a gazebo and 6 swinging benches. If you decide to drive you'll have access to two parking lots. You also have access to several restaurants that are within walking distance.

The gardens are in beautiful, stone, raised beds and are rented yearly by community members. Community members tend to their own gardens, as well as the common spaces throughout the year. A number of events are held in the garden for the community, including cooking demonstrations (using the garden's cleaning station, grill, and green egg), gardening lessons, and celebrations. The garden includes a children's garden, where kids can enjoy digging in the dirt, too. This is a beautiful spot for frequent visits, as the gardens frequently change throughout the year.

This was how one of the friends knew about this place. There is a decent size field for flag football, kickball, ultimate, etc. However, be warned, there are occasional dips in the ground so you might slide into them while running. No Bueno There's a small swing set with six swings, three of which have the baby seats. There is also a plastic slide for toddlers. I was impressed at how clean the public restrooms there were. It Makes peeing more pleasant. Haha. Next to the playground is a covered picnic area with plenty of tables. There are also grills on opposite ends of the picnic area.

There is plenty of parking in the shade, and a path down to the river where you can fish or go canoeing. What a clean, cute park! Simpsonwood Park is nice hiking area near the Chattahoochee River. There are other activities…read morehere. But can only review the hikes, as that was what a group of 10 of us did. We ended up hiking about 6 miles in nice shaded area on the trails. Some rocks and roots, so you must be careful. Relatively flat with a few small hills. The big downside is there are no trail markers or signs, so having a person in your group that is familiar with the area is necessary. We had two people that knew the trails, so zero markings was not a problem for us. Great outdoor area. Currently (4/23) there is construction of new water treatment plant along the river. Not many people here, so is sort of a hidden gem. Every one in our group enjoyed the hike. Lots of free parking. Restrooms available, but they were so-so inside. Definitely worth a stop. Also CRNRA Jones Bridge unit is across the river for additional hiking trails and is very well marked for easier navigation.

What I loved most was seeing all of the deer in plain sight. What I loved least was hearing our coonhound barking at all the deer relentlessly. The only complaint is that the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Also, we like to let our dog go for a swim off leash which is not normally an issue. However, off one of these trails, she jumped from a steep embankment and wasn't able to jump back up. This was really our fault for not checking first whether she would be able to get out of the water. Thankfully a few of the passing kayakers stopped to help us. Parts of the trail back up into people's backyards which is also kind of strange, so you don't necessarily feel as though you've been transported to somewhere remote. But all in all it's a fun place to walk and the trail is not too challenging.
