This park is so cute! There's a long winding road to the parking lot and there's two options: a 1 mile loop or a 4 (?) mile loop. Super cute lookout point on the river. Didn't go into the bathrooms but there's bathrooms at the trailhead. It wasn't super crowded on MLK day but would highly suggest checking it out. It's like a hidden gem read more

By far my favorite park so far! After visiting nine parks in a month, this one truly stands out as a gem. The park offers everything--picnic benches, grills, bridge access, a playground, walking trails, and multiple stairways leading right to the river (seven in total!). The water access is perfect for relaxing by the river, and the Canadian geese make the experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit spot for anyone who loves the outdoors. read more

This park is really clean and beautiful. It is right there by the Chattahoochee River. There's a nice playground for your kids with a bit of grass space. There's a ton of parking. I love to just sit right at the river and watch it go. During the week there's almost no one there but during the weekend there is a crowd. You can walk but there isn't much of a walking trail here. I'm a photographer and I have done photos here. It's great for photos you want in the river or just family photos in different areas. read more

REPOST FROM A REMOVED REVIEW.: Apparently this wasn't a personal enough experience to be on Yelp? I think not; I was there. Sheesh. _______________ Well good thing something from the movie "Deliverance" didn't jump out of the woods and throw me off the bridge and into the Chattahoochee River! Cause I was scurred!!!!! Siri told me there were unexpected delays ahead, and since I had gotten a late start driving from Alabama, I decided she knew what she was talking about.....and I took her advice. Bad idea! I had gotten as far as Georgia, headed home the morning after my Nephew's funeral. Siri directed me to a street that I turned right on and immediately saw the DEAD END sign. I thought, this can't be right, but I kept driving! Soon the narrow one lane road wasn't paved anymore. It was now a gravel road, and the road could fit only one car. Yikes! Uh-huh!!!!!!!! :/ I kept driving to the end, which was about a mile long. In making the way, I passed a few double wides and a few small houses, spread far apart. I got to the end, made a 3-point turnabout and hightailed it out of there! Dusk was settling in and I had to find the highway back to the interstate. So I pulled over and cracked my window to take a couple pictures in case I was never heard from again! Some good that would've done, cause it all looked the same, WOODS!!! I re-entered my address into the GPS (which I forgot for a minute since I was sure I'd be dragged away by some maniac). Okay, play the banjos!!! Yikes!!!!! I reprogrammed the GPS and posted on Yelp my location and my Brother saw it. He has a Yelp account and saw my distressed self panicking so he called me to make sure I was headed in the right direction (he knew the area). He told me which way to head as sun was setting. Hallelujah! I finally drove over the Chattahoochee River and was grateful I was safely locked in my car and no gremlins tried to flag me down. ;) I was not about to stop!!! I will say though, that if I'm ever wanting to drive 1000 miles to fish, I'll come to The Chattahoochee River because it saved me! Ha ha! It took me another 45 minutes to get to Interstate 85, then I-75!!! And perfect timing, cause it was just getting dark. I had lost over an hour driving around in circles, even with a Siri GPS!!! Thanks a lot Siri! Another thing, Siri....I've never liked your tone. You're a little too snooty for me. But it's okay. I've switched my GPS voice to the male version... *sigh* Much better. Jones Bridge Park is divided up into two different sections as it straddles the river. This review is for the East side which is accessed via East Jones Bridge Rd - the address if you're googling it is 4901 E Jones Bridge Rd, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092. There's quite a bit of parking and from what I tell it appears to be free? At least I didn't see the usual National Park Service "Pay here" kiosk while there but this side may be maintained by Gwinnett County. I was actually looking for the entrance to the West side of the park which maintains National Park Service trails, as mentioned I suspect that the two sides are not related - this, the East side is more of a picnic-ing and playground area with a well-manicured lawn and beautiful A-Frame pavilion. The architecture is Mid-Mod with lots of exposed beams and tongue-and-groove exposed wooden ceilings with exposed, stacked stone. There are three structures, the A-Frame pavilion, a shed-roofed bathroom and another shed-roofed structure (I didn't visit it but it may be a lanai). There are multiple stairs that allow for access to a lower level near the rivers edge with boulders that lead to the water, with many picnic tables. This park is quite beautiful and would be a great spot for a picnic (there are built-in grills near the pavilion) or small gathering. Seems you can call ahead and reserve the pavilion for larger groups (there was a very large Korean group there while I visited enjoying the scenery, eating various foods brought and a live, traditional Korean band with four members playing music). You could do worse than to spend and afternoon in this park - I was there mid-day on a Tuesday, and other than the one large group it was sparsely attended. Kudos to the Park Service or to Gwinnett County for creating a beautiful area for families. read more

It's beautiful and relaxing! The employees that keep up the grounds do a great job cleaning up Monday mornings after the busy weekends. They work hard getting trash picked up and bathrooms cleaned. The playground is nice and the meandering nature trails are shaded next to the river. If you're looking for a fun, free, and fabulous time with family and friends this is a great place to do it. read more

Awesome place to take your kids, esp. your small ones. They not only have a brand-new playground (no rust in sight, and it's shaded too!), the park is also alongside the Chattahoochee River and there are a bunch of geese (and a few ducks) that the kids can feed -- I took my 3-yr old nephew who was visiting in town, and he couldn't stop talking about the geese so we ended up going again another day. The view of the river is actually quite gorgeous (yes I'm talking about the Hooch), esp. on a sunny day ... maybe even a good date spot for couples. The park also has a couple of pavilions for picnics. Don't forget to bring bread or crackers to feed the geese! read more

I'm from California and this was my first time visiting the area. When I was at Walmart we asked an employee about things to do around the area and they said to check this place out. Bring a bathing suit if you come! There are a bunch of walking trails that reminded me of when I was overseas in the jungle. Hot, muggy and the smell brought back memories. Yes, good memories. The Chattahoochee river is there and there are numerous areas to go in swimming. There is a bathroom, playground, free parking and tables for eating. read more

Before we even came to Jones Bridge Park, we'd checked the river running through the park online, and were expecting a very nice long hike. What we found out when we got there is we were stopped more than once by private property that was fenced off after following unofficial trails. I can see the appeal of Jones Bridge park. When we paid a visit on a saturday morning, there were soccer teams playing in the open fields, more than one family reunion on two opposite sides of the park, and more than a handful of fishermen either sitting just near the water on an overlook, or if brave enough, wading waste deep into the rolling waters of the Chattahoochee river to catch bigger fish. Jones Bridge Park IS a pretty park, with lots of activities for everyone to enjoy. Taken from their website, Amenities include: 30 acres Pavilions Playground Good Age Community Room Sand volleyball court Three soccer fields River overlook areas for fishing Grill Meadow Restrooms One thing not listed on their website is the actual "bridge" in Jones Bridge park seems to be a torn down red metal bridge that allowed access over the waters, but for whatever reason was pulled down. In fact you can see two of the support beams laying along the soil in certain places if you walk about Located off of East Jones Bridge Road, there's three different parking lots, with the largest lot being all the way in the back of the park property. We parked here, walked all the way back to the front of the park, and found later that there were small trails leading from the back lot (behind the fenced in field at the back lot) to some of the trails close to the river. You don't have to walk very far is all I'm saying At the end of the day, how you enjoy this park is ultimately what you want out of a park. My knee Jerk reaction was to give Jones bridge 3 stars because it's not a trail intensive park like I suspected/hoped, so if you're coming for a 10 mile nature walk then you're out of luck. But if you have family get togethers, organized sports, or just want to go for some fishing, Jones Bridge Park will give you everything you want and more. Cool little relaxing park that continues to show that Gwinnett County knows what its doing when it comes to parks. read more

This is one of my favorite parks to relax by the river and enjoy a sunny day. I love the access points to get a chance to sit near the river and dip your toes in if you'd like. This park is an amazing location for photo shoots and to capture great shots of the Chattahoochee. There's a really nice playground area and large amount of picnic space. If you feel like grilling there are ample grill areas overlooking the river. Also, a nice area to play volleyball. I would count this as one of Gwinnett's best parks! read more

This is one of my son's most favorite parks to visit. Not only is it covered, which is so nice for the summer, but it's large and has so much to offer. There's something for the little ones and something for the bigger kids. I think they recently updated the park, because there are some new things that weren't there before, like the elevator on the big kid playset. If you can remember to bring bread, you can walk down to the river and feed the ducks. It's always a treat to walk down and sit at the steps and watch the people fishing, or playing in the water. Hands down, one of the best parks in town! read more

The park itself is small. There is a playground and a picnic area. The main attraction for this park is it's view of the Chattahoochee River and ooooh what a view! What I love the most is the individually sectioned river bays/overlooks. On a not so busy day you can enjoy your personal space on the steps of one of these bays or over by the pavilion. Depending on the water level that day you can walk right out to the center of the river. read more

A great park just to chill and relax. I'm re-visiting all these parks when I used to take my kids when they were younger because hey, time has changed, Gwinnett Parks are improving and I need a good hike. It is located off East Jones Bridge Road behind The Forum in Peachtree Corners. You would never think it's back there. It is like McDanile Farm, tucked in the back. What I like about Jones Bridge Park is you can get in the Chattahoochee River to swim or fish. The geese and ducks come up to you, wanting to be fed. There's also nice grills close by. A newly, renovated playground is close by also by the pavillion. There's a walking trail that is right by the river if you want to get your workout on. It's not long but the view is worth it. read more

What a beautiful, hidden park. It's about 90 degrees outside, but this park is shady. There are trees all around, and a pavilion with picnic benches. There are more picnic benches grills along the river. You'll also get a cool breeze from the river. There are people swimming, canoeing, picnicking, and walking along the trails. The playground is currently closed due to construction though; they seem to be building new facilities on the grounds. read more

We launched our Kayak here for a 5 hour trip. It is a beautiful park with soccer fields, playground, covered pavilions. We were there on a Saturday and there were lots of people there doing sports, fishing, and cooking on the grills. In fact, it was a little hard to paddle away with the smell of chicken grilling in the air. We put the boat in at one of the areas where steps lead down to the river. The river is quite shallow here and has a bit of current. It is a little difficult to maneuver out into the deeper water when you first launch. But when you do... this is a beautiful part of the river. Also, the park was active enough that there were not any fears about leaving the vehicle there while we were on the river. However, they lock the gates at dark so you have to plan to be back before then. A lot of people were having fun of various types at Jones Bridge Park that day. read more

We have a camp retreat that has a yearly BBQ at Jones Bridge Park. It's great because there's a wide open field for frisbee, plenty of pavillions for cooking, and access to the Chattahoochee. Many a time we've tried to cross the river to the other side of the bank, with one or two successful attempts. During the summer the water is always a pleasant chilliness, and it feels great to just jump in. Be careful though, the rocks can be slippery, and at some places the current is strong. We had to rescue some younger campers because they got caught in a strong current. I always have a great time there, and I'm pretty sure you'll have a good time too. PS: The bathrooms here are very well maintained. Gotta love it. read more

More visitors are families with small kids but still we (a bunch of young adults w/o kids) found a nice spot for BBQ, not too noisy. Close to parking area(free) and restrooms and it got nice shade in a hot summer. Some mosquitoes though. On the other side of the river is the Jones Bridge Trail. Good for a casual hiking. read more

Festival is great. The art vendors were nice and the food was wonderful. We loved the band, however, when it was just the music playing it was WAY too loud. They just need to turn the music down a bit and arrange the parking a little better and this festival will be awesome! read more

A very nice and quiet park. A hidden gem! I enjoy coming here to read and have a quiet break during the week. You can sit right by the river and even wade or fish in it. There are several areas to sit by the river including picnic tables. There are several trails for walking but they are pretty short. The park has plenty of parking. read more

This park is a great family place for all ages. My favorite part is that you can get in the river and splash around in the water, so bring swimsuits ad life jackets for the little ones! Playground was nice but we went at the wrong time of the day so all of the slides were hot even though they had big umbrellas over the top. Very nice place to visit! read more

This is a great neighborhood park. The geese and ducks are used to being fed, so be prepared to either comply or ignore. Photo buffs will revel in the opportunities for that classic "guy in waders fishing with heron in the background and lots of green leafy trees" shot. This is part of my jogging/running route, and it's a peaceful enough place during the week. It can get crowded on weekends. There is a nice playground with some fun new equipment for the kiddies. There is also plenty of space for get-togethers and birthday parties complete with grills and other amenities. All in all a very scenic spot with lots of options for recreation and fun! read more

This park is really cute. There are always tons of people there BBQing, there's a nice sized playground, and the most beautiful view of the Chattahoochee River - and the best part is you can go into the water. There are stairs leading down into the water - it's super freezing at all times of the year though. When the weather is great, good luck finding parking. read more
