Toby of Lilla Bello is, hands down, the absolute best florist we could ever have chosen for our wedding day. From the moment we met I knew that she would be able to make our colorful floral dreams come true and was immediately proved correct just with her initial presentation. As a bride who had never pictured my wedding day, my only requests were colorful and textured. With just that, Toby knocked it out of the park. In addition to our gorgeous and colorful ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception she put together a stunning fruit-centric welcome dinner. It's been a few months and our guests are still talking about how beautiful each event was. I truly wish we could get married all over again just to work with Toby and her gorgeous flowers again. Thank you for everything, Toby, you truly made our wedding the most beautiful we've ever seen! read more

After stubbornly refusing the idea of flowers for a while during the wedding planning process, we were introduced to Toby, who ended up being my absolute favorite vendor to work with (which is saying a lot because we had a seriously rockstar team supporting us). Our initial "get to know each other" meeting was effortless and Toby seemed to immediately hone in on ideas that felt true to us, our vision, and our budget. After receiving her initial proposal/inspiration photos, Toby worked with us to refine our ideas -- I wanted to feel like I was standing in/holding a field of crazy/tangled (but ~elevated~) wildflowers and she absolutely delivered. We ended up with the world's most gorgeous yellow flower arrangements (inspired by the mustard blooms so characteristic of springtime here on the CA central/south coast). Between the ceremony half-circle "meadow", to the most stunning bouquets (which are still going strong 8+ days post-wedding!), and seriously incredible pocket squares for the guys (I totally didn't know this was a thing before, but DO IT! They looked amazing and unique), I can't choose my favorite arrangement. Because of our tighter budget, Toby worked during cocktail hour to rearrange/repurpose our ceremony meadow for our reception area (in front of the band, bars, etc.), which was still just as stunning. We got endless compliments from our guests on how unique, vibrant, and truly beautiful our flowers were. I would 1000% work with Toby again in the future, and can't recommend her enough! read more

Toby Kassoy the owner of Lilla Bello is a Floral artist. She helped create the magic that was our daughter's wedding. The Chuppah took my breath away. Toby cleverly repurposed the gorgeous floral arrangements for the aisle around the sweetheart table creating an enchanted garden for the evening. The tables had a mix of flowers that were beautifully composed to compliment each other. The room was awash in a romance of sorbet, pink and coral blooms all bought together with the perfect greens and a touch of blue, surrounded by candles of different heights. Toby also lends her keen eye,and commands the table scape which was perfect. Our guests kept asking: "who did the flowers?" Toby is a pleasure to work with. She collaborates with you on your vision, but also guides you in the right direction and has a strong opinion about what will and will not work from her years of experience. And, you should listen to her because she is very experienced. She is respectful of your budget and is the person to reign you in when you start to get fantastical. I really appreciated that! She is fun to work with. She puts your vision and her vision together on a digital vision board which is very helpful in the process. Toby keeps her paperwork on target and up to date and you always know where you are in the process with her. She is a consummate professional all around, and creatively one of the absolute best. For a thank you, a gift to yourself, Mother's Day, a Wedding, just because, call Lilla Bello - you will be so happy that you did. read more

TOBY KASSOY IS A FLORAL QUEEEEEN!!!! Never have I trusted a vendor more to bring my vision to life. I just recently got married at Ojai Valley Inn and I have had the pleasure of working with Toby and team for over a year now. Toby showed patience, professionalism and kindness as I navigated through the differnet themes and floral styles that I wanted (being engaged for two years can make you indecisive hah!). I even sent her a deck full of different floral themes that she happily walked through with me. I felt like I was working with not just a vendor but also a friend. In the end, I wanted to do autumn colors - nudes, blushes, champagnes, wild flowers, and a bunch of leaves, mixed foliages and she nailed it. Peep the pics for evidence ;) read more

As I write this, I'm counting down the minutes to picking up my mom from the airport. I was feeling a little shitty about arriving empty handed, so I did a quick search on the yelp app. I didn't know what I wanted... Maybe some flowers or a little gift for her to use in her Air bnb this weekend, I don't even know. Turns out this place was about .01 miles from where I was, on the opposite end of Bergamot Station, so of course I had to pop in. It took me a few minutes to figure out where in there it actually was, but they had a little sign outside that made it easy to locate coming around the corner. After a quick peak inside, I was sold on a hand tied bouquet of various fresh flowers. Spendy? Yes. Beautiful? Absolutely. Makes me look like a good daughter? Le duh. Would I come back if I was in Santa Monica? Yes, but not if I was broke. read more

I can't say enough great things about Lilla Bello's work! Their flowers were the best part of our day!! They created the most wonderful floral arrangements, including a beautiful arch I wish I could always be able to look at. And they made beautiful flower collars for our two pups so they could feel part of the celebration as well. And that bouquet....LOVED IT! We also did a more non traditional COVID wedding and they were the best at communication and being flexible with plans while also helping us create our dream day. Can't recommend them enough!!! read more

I was deciding between a few different florists for my wedding, and I'm so thankful I chose Lilla Bello. Toby was fantastic and so easy to work with -- she was kind, responsive, dependable, extremely talented and creative. I described the look and feel I wanted and showed her some inspiration photos from Pinterest, and she completely nailed the entire vision, bringing every detail to life. Everything was stunning from the tablescapes, to the bouquets, to the chuppah, it totally exceeded my expectations! I would highly recommend them for any occasion, and would hire them again myself in a heartbeat. DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST!!! I was supposed to get married in April 2020 and due to the pandemic, everything was shut down at that time. We were in lockdown and Toby (the owner) told me that I needed to pay her more money, in addition to the 20% deposit I had on file. She wanted me to bring the deposit about to 50% and then on top of that I would HAVE to have wedding within 8 months. We had absolutely no idea what the status of the pandemic would be nor if we would even be able to have a wedding again yet she wanted MORE money she said in order to "keep her business afloat". I said I didn't feel comfortable and thus had to forfeit all of my deposit money. I later reached out to see if she would apply to deposit to my baby shower and she basically told me too bad and that she had given me a fair opportunity to use my deposit. Every single one of my wedding vendors happily applied to deposit to my new wedding date (which is now August 2022) except this florist. For sake of just being a good person, don't use her. She will rip you off if given the opportunity. read more

Absolutely STUNNING floral design. I had a small backyard wedding and oh my did Toby make it spectacular. She designed the chuppah perfectly and all the other flowers were exactly as I envisioned it. She has the BEST taste and really listens to what you want. Every table piece had the most gorgeous spring flowers fresh and full of color, while also keeping it light and whimsical. Everyone wanted to take them home. She even made a beautiful flower crown for my pup. Highly recommend for any event! read more

If I could give 10 stars I would! I am lucky enough to be a neighbor to Lilla Bello and have used them more than 50 times over the past year and a half. I have never been disappointed, and always get the most kind and flattering thank you notes from the recipients of their arrangements. The owner/staff/employees are the friendliest people with impeccable taste and quality. Similar to my star rating, if I had all they money in the world, I would buy literally everything in their store. It is gorgeous. On top of that, their arrangements are exotic and unique, and they are very reasonably priced, responsive and punctual. I guess by now you get the point -- I am an absolute super fan and recommend this shop to anyone and everyone. :) read more

I have known Toby personally for several years and she is always my go-to for floral arrangements when I need something special delivered for a birthday or something like that. When it came time to decide on who was going to curate all of my floral arrangements for our wedding day, I didn't think twice - Lilla Bello it was! From my incredible bouquet to my now step daughter's flower crown to the amazing flowers on our wedding cake, I would not have changed a thing and have received so many compliments from even the toughest critics. Lilla Bello makes some beautiful, albeit fairly expensive, arrangements. I'm definitely don't use them exclusively . . . but, when I want to make an impression on those most special of special occasions, there's no one else to consider. Their delivery charges have sometimes been prohibitive. For example, they won't deliver to the West Valley absent a courier fee. So, my first purchase from them was actually on location, picking up a few bouquets for Mother's Day. On the other hand, for Valentine's Day this year, I called the place and spoke with the owner Toby about my particular situation and vision. She was very helpful and understanding and gave me the guidance I needed, with an eye toward my budget (OK, so I went a little over!). I guess my point is, if you're going for maximum effect and price is not your primary factor, give Lilla Bello your consideration before looking up 1-800-Flowers or something. read more

I had an incredibly great experience with Lilla Bello Studio! So great, in fact, that I registered for Yelp just to write this review. I was a June '09 bride with a realistic budget (read: closer to normal, less close to what other brides seem to do,) but, despite my budget, I wanted a dream wedding that would make jaws drop. (In an elegant way, of course.) :) From our first meet, she had me at "of course I can do that," and I had a mad floral crush. I showed her pictures of flowers from a celebrity wedding, and Toby not only interpreted these arrangements to reflect our bridal style, but she made them even more stunning. Every single floral detail of the wedding was stunning, from bouquet to chair garlands, floral pomanders to table arrangements. Drool worthy! Flower crush was right. The best bit? Toby delivered a drop dead gorgeous wedding. You read right: DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! People are still talking about the wedding flowers, and I still daydream about them. sigh. So if you want to hire someone for a wedding or another event with an exquisite taste level, and all within your budget, stop right now and book her before all the celebrities do. Don't let this vendor get away. Oh, and did I tell you she's a total sweetheart? Can it get any better than Lilla Bello? You're right, it can't. P.S. BTW, it turned out that our wedding was featured in a magazine, and I am confident that it's because of two things: Our wedding planner and our fab florist LILLA BELLO. read more

The BEST Floral Design Studio in LA!!! I was first introduced to Toby at Lilla Bello Studio when I was the recipient of one of Toby's little floral sculptures. After that I went to Toby when my cousin gave birth to her first child I ordered an arrangement from Toby, that after 3 years, my cousin still talks about. She's been making me look good ever since. Toby has a wonderful way of talking you through what you need, even for someone as clueless as I am when it comes to flowers. As a single guy, Toby is invaluable. She's not only helped me for requests in LA but in other states as well. So if you really want to give something uniquely beautiful and utterly impressive, I can't recommend Toby at Lila Bello Studio enough!! read more

I desperately needed beautiful flowers and a trustworthy company in a pinch!! Called at 10am, and the most BEAUTIFUL flowers were delivered by 12:30pm. Not only are the notes handwritten and the flowers designed just right, but the delivery updates were frequent. Can't wait to use again. read more

I connected with Toby at Lilla Bello through the Bridal Bar and I'm so very thankful for their referral. Toby was great and she was the only florist to provide me an estimate right after our first meeting. She took the time to walk me through it and she was always prompt with updates. I already had very specific ideas as to what I wanted, but I was happy to have Toby's expert opinion on editing out a few internet purchases I made in the wee hours of the night, convinced I wouldn't have enough decor at the wedding. I was happy for the anti-glitter paper intervention (in my defense, it did look pretty when I ordered it on-line at 3am). On the big day, Toby came to my hotel suite while we were getting ready to bring me my bouquet (it was gorgeous) and I was thrilled to see her smiling face. I must admit, the (control-freak) bride in me wanted to go off to the reception site with her to see how things were shaping up. But I managed to control my impulses since no one wants to see a bride in a robe. When my new husband and I walked into our reception, it was stunning. Not only did the flowers look amazing, but Toby had really taken the care to stylize the decor. She arranged the votives, candelabras, crystals, etc. into little vignettes and charming little feasts for the eye. Every room of the venue had special touches and felt perfectly romantic - never under or over done. Yes, Lilla Bello is more costly than average, but what you get is so much more than flowers placed in a venue. You get style and taste, all from the sweetest person who is always smiling. Everything Toby put together was beautiful. read more

Our centerpieces and reception hall decor were lush, bright, smelled sooooo good, and were of course, gorgeous. My bouquet was my absolute favorite. OMG It was beyond stunning and looks amazing in all the photos. Incredibly nice staff and absolutely beautiful arrangements, if not the most creative I've seen. Still, whatever you get from them will be gorgeous and get positive comments from everyone who sees them. But be warned, they are very pricey. I was very impressed w/ the photos of Lilla Bello's designs I had seen on Yelp, plus the rave reviews from previous clients. then I was impressed w/ Tasha of Lilla Bello from the very beginning---she immediately answered my previous evenings' email when she opened the studio the next morning!!! (I had been waiting for an answer from another area florist for 3+ weeks). Tasha was quick to address each one of my questions from many miles away (Memphis, Tennessee). soon I could see I had found "the floral designer" for our wedding rehearsal dinner, & my heart was set at ease. I wanted tropical/Hawaiian colors---fuchsia, tangerine, & lime in leaf-lined glass vases. I also needed extra greenery to add texture to the landscape design. thankfully, I had Pinterest photos to help w/ my ideas. even though I had not met Tasha face-to-face, I believed I could trust her to do what she said she could & would do---the proof was in the gorgeous photo after photo of the lush flowers & in the reviews of loyal & happy clients. so I signed the contract & paid her. the flowers exceeded my expectations, of course!!! Tasha delivered the flowers at exactly the time she promised, w/ the greenery I had requested. the flowers were so fresh & fragrant & lush & gorgeous!!! (the bouquets lasted over 7 days!!!) I was so happy & proud to share them w/ the grandmothers, the mother-of-the-bride, the sister-of-the-bride, & special friends. I told everyone Tasha from Lilla Bello in Santa Monica designed the flowers!!! I am so happy to have a new friend in Santa Monica!!! read more

She did a great job dealing with a stressed bride and family members with opinions and was great to work with from start to finish. We had the pleasure of doing business with Lilla Bello as they were the florists/designers for our wedding in August. My wife found them after doing extensive research online and meeting with a couple other florists her friends had recommended. We met Tasha and the team at Lilla Bello and after our first meeting knew we were in good hands. Having high quality beautiful flowers was top of the list for my wife and their product is incredible! Let's face it, there are a lot of great florists in and around the LA area but I think what sets Lilla Bello apart is just how much they cared about making our wedding so great. Everyone we dealt with had a positive attitude and very helpful in giving us ideas and working with our budget. 5 stars for sure for Lilla Bello and a life long customer and now friend for sure! read more

I've been a fan of Lilla Bello since stumbling upon the beautiful shop in Bergamot Station a few years ago and following them on Instagram. I finally got to experience Toby's artistic grace and Tasha's friendly efficiency and organization through the process of planning my wedding flowers and decor over the past few months. Because it matters when planning events close to the heart, let me say that Toby is a wonderful human being in addition to being a very patient and intuitive planner. She has impeccable taste and was the sole reason my late afternoon, neutral-and-green toned beach ceremony looked as perfect as my jewel-toned evening, secret-garden, bohemian-chic reception on a Hollywood rooftop. All of the personal flowers, bouquets and boutonnières were simply bulletproof in design, color, and construction. They withstood hours at the beach and were still looking fresh several days later. The table arrangements were more beautiful than what I could have dreamed up on my own, and all within a very reasonable budget. I kept as many of them as I could after the big day, and was able to keep them in our home for nearly a week where they perfumed everything and helped us decompress after the wedding. If you're at all on the fence, don't even think twice about going with Lilla Bello for any floral needs, large or small. I look forward to more beautiful arrangements for every occasion and no occasion at all. And if you can visit the shop, you may walk out with something unexpected to treasure, whether it's a little sculpture, a new vase, or a tiny succulent to grow. read more

I'm so glad we chose Lilla Bello to do the flowers at my daughter's recent wedding at the Bel Air Bay Club! The chuppah and the rest of the setting for the ceremony were beautiful, romantic and bountiful without being over the top. The bouquets were stunning, and the little succulent boutonnieres were perfect, each wonderfully unique.
