When I told him we no longer lived at that address, he drove all the way across town to deliver the gift someone ordered for us in the wake of us unexpectedly losing our dog. I wanted a last minute floral delivery for my sweet mama and didn't know of any places in Santa Barbara. I found hogue and co on yelp and I'm so glad I did! I asked for a clean, crisp, and beautiful peony arrangement for an affordable price (affordable for peonies at least) and the girl was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable! Horrible experience. My order never reached the recipient, which was supposed to be a wedding surprise. I also never received a confirmation email for delivery, as promised by Hogue. I reached out to Hogue to see what happened, and they provided absolutely no solution and did not offer to reimburse the order that was never delivered. So disappointing. read more

Agreed with the florist that she should create an $85 arrangement but she tried to charge me $150 at every turn after agreeing on $85. PURE GOLD! 5-STAR! Hogue & Co gets ALL the love!!! My dear sister recently received a bouquet at the hospital that I thought was SO stunning, and come to find out, it was from Hogue & Co! So just a few days later, when I was wanting to bring a cheerful, joyful bouquet to the hospital for a dear friend of mine, Hogue & Co was at the TOP of my list. I popped in unannounced and low-and-behold! I was greeted by a DARLING woman named, Gail, and invited into the walk-in cooler to pick out flowers. I quickly realized that there were no sunflowers to be found, and I had my heart set on having sunflowers in the bouquet. I asked (a bit sheepishly) if it would be okay if I dashed somewhere else to pick up some sunflowers to bring back to them for my bouquet. Gail was SO DEAR! She said, "Of course! I'll have your bouquet already started when you return, and it will just take me 15 minutes to finish it up." Well, I had to go to 4 different places in search of sunflowers, so by the time I returned to Hogue & Co dear Gail's shift had already ended. But low-and-behold! standing there at the floral arranging table stood darling Zoe! She picked up right where Gail had left off and had a GORGEOUS bouquet in front of her that she said was meant for ME! I was over the MOON! It was PERFECT! Zoe sweetly included my Trader Joe's sunflowers into their already STUNNING arrangement, and my heart just BURST. The arrangement was everything that I had hoped for: two types of eucalyptus, dahlias, roses and my beloved sunflowers. This review would not be anywhere NEAR complete if I did not mention that during my entire visit at the shop warm, delightful and caring Kristi, the owner, chatted with me and offered me guacamole and chips like I was part of the Hogue & Co family! I had a good experience at S.R. Hogue and will gladly use them again. My order was a delivery of a small item - probably their smallest order all month. Order was delivered on time and was nice. I shopped around price of this order and S.R. Hogue was the most competitive price. I know flowers are definitely not all about price, but it mattered to me. The gentleman who took the order on the phone was professional but showed signs of being impatient. Too small of an order? If so, I understand that; we're all busy. We were halfway to our wedding in Santa Barbara (from Thousand Oaks) when my bride-to-be realised she had forgotten her bridal bouquet. After consulting Yelp, I called Hogue&Co and declared a 'floral emergency.' Our man at Hogue was all over it, took time to understand my bride's requests, and went to work immediately. Jerry from SR Hogue & Co did the flowers for my wedding last weekend. It was for a small wedding so I only needed a bouquet, boutonnieres and gardenia nosegays. I am from out of town so I did everything over the phone which I was initially a little nervous about. My fears were quickly put to rest because they were so helpful and responsive to both email and telephone questions and comments. I emailed some photos of things I liked and I got the proposal the next day. I absolutely loved my bouquet which even looked fantastic the day after the wedding. I had them deliver the flowers to the hotel where I was getting ready and everything was handled smoothly and on time. IF THE FLOWERS ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU, DO NOT HAVE S.R. HOGUE DO YOUR WEDDING!!!. I worked with them to create my dream contract for my wedding and everything was written in extensive detail on the contract so that everything would be exactly the way I wanted. However they did not follow what was written on the contract. For example, the contract stated that I wanted a specific shade of lavender rose petals down the aisle and sprinkled on a bridge and they gave me pink petals instead. The pink petals looked completely out of place because there was no pink anywhere else in my wedding (my colors were lavender and white). I also specifically asked for a bouquet that was not round (I wanted it to look like it was picked from the wild) and they gave me a round bouquet. This too had been explicitly written in the contract. I also had them write in the contract that my ceremony arch would be covered completely in branches and greenery so the iron did not show. This was not done either....there were hardly any branches or greenery and the whole arch showed. There were a couple other discrepancies between the contract and what was done also. So if you go to them and they put together a dream contract for you, don't buy into it because most of it will not actually be done on your big day. It was as though they did not even read the contract on the day of my wedding! Flowers were the most important part of my wedding and I thought I would be getting my dream flowers and I was soooo disappointed when I did not get what I wanted and was expecting. Also, the "personal flowers" (bouquets, boutonnieres, and hair flowers) were wilted before the ceremony even started. I had specifically asked that they be delivered at 4:00 (the ceremony started at 5:00) so that they would be as fresh as possible. However, I arrived at the wedding site at 3:30 and the flowers were already there so who knows what time they got there. I had to pull dead flowers off my bouquet before I took photos (which was immediately after the ceremony) and my husband's boutonniere was completely wilted for the photos. read more

They did the flowers for my wedding and it was beautiful. I had simple flowers because my wedding venue was outdoors and had a lot of natural decor built-in. However, they never tried to sell me more than what I requested, and made me feel like my wedding was as important to them as was their bigger spending clients' weddings.
