My son purchased flowers for his girlfriend to ask her to be his valentine to be delivered on February 9th. Not only did they NOT deliver the flowers on the 9th, but he received no call, no email or text stating that they would not be delivering them on the day he chose for them to be delivered. His girlfriend was going out of town the next day, so the 9th was the only day to be delivered where she could receive them. Regardless, he chose a delivery date and they did not deliver them. The next morning, she had already left for out of town and he was notified by her roommate that the flowers were delivered the NEXT DAY. Still, no phone call, no email or heads up that they were not delivered on the day he chose but took it upon themselves to deliver it when they felt like it. Completely unprofessional! Do NOT BUY FLOWERS FROM THEM! UPDATE: I called and spoke with the young girl who said she delivered them herself. She said that she delivered them at 8pm that night, but that she forgot to deliver them and went home and "did her thing" and then delivered them, although his girlfriend was home during that time and did not see them, so we know she delivered them on her way to work the next morning and tried to cover for herself. My new daughter-in-law just had a birthday. Work was busy and in the afternoon I called to order her some flowers. The friendly voice at the other end took my order, and when I asked when it would be delivered, I was told the next day because the driver was leaving for the day. I asked if there was any way to deliver it that day as it was her actual birthday, and the first as my daughter-in-law. The woman said that someone could deliver it because some employees would go in that direction to go home. The flowers were indeed delivered. I can only say, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart." He has used many disappointing floral services in the area over the years but has finally landed on this wonderful little shop. I have never once been disappointed in the flowers from here over the past 3-4 years. The arrangements use an abundance and variety of flowers at different points of bloom and most importantly, last a really long time (assuming you change the water daily and cut stems every couple of days). My wife's birthday was back in March. She lives in SB and I live in LA I called Goleta floral to send her flowers and chocolates. The girl that answered the phone was super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the delivery was scheduled for the day that UCSB shut for covid 19 pandemic. I called in to the shop and explained my situation. When I was done explaining they asked would I like it delivered to another address I said I live in LA they laughed and said don't worry we will issue a full refund. I didn't even have to ask. This Floral shop does NOT even deserve ONE star. They deserve NEGATIVE stars for their service and product(s). Firstly my boyfriend bought me flowers and chocolate for our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY. He lives in New York, so he wanted to surprise me. When I received the flowers and chocolates, I was taken aback because I didn't expect anything. I was so happy, until I opened up the chocolates. The first chocolate I bit into was STALE. It was suppose to be a "peanut butter crunch" but it was more like a "so-stale-i'm-going-to-break-your-teeth" type of chocolate. I swear I couldn't even BITE into it. I wasn't sure if it was just that one, so just to confirm I bit into another, and the other chocolate was WHITE because it was SOOOO old. I told my boyfriend, and he called them immediately to let them know the issue with the chocolates. The woman on the phone apologized and said that was very odd because "they receive new chocolate shipments everyday." She then said she would send over a brand new one that just came in. However, when I received the chocolate, it was not the same one. It was about 1/3 of the size, and a much cheaper brand. I looked it up and you could buy it for $3.50 at Walmart. I was livid. My boyfriend paid 18 dollars for a NICE box of chocolates, and THAT was what I received. We called back to complain, and they told us they would issue a full refund within the next 1-3 days. On the 3rd day there was NO refund to be seen. We called back to ask about the issue, and they told him that he now needs to call this other number (I'm assuming the larger corporate office) which was located in New York. The first man he talked to (Jeff) told him that he would transfer him to another caller. My bf and I waited for 20 minutes before he was disconnected. He then called back telling them that he was disconnected, and they transferred him again. After a 10 minute wait, an automatic message said "Sorry, are server is too busy at the moment, please make an appointment to talk to someone later." He literally waited 30 minutes just to have to make an appointment to talk to someone - WHICH WAS RIDICULOUS. 2 hours later, someone finally called him. He explained the entire issue, and they took back their statement of giving a full refund. The lady on the phone said "we will give you NINE dollars back" which is absolutely absurd. He ordered the nice version of the chocolates, received some walmart version, and then was expected to pay 2.5 times the value of what it would've cost to just buy and ship it to me. He then asked to talk to the manager, and now we are in the process of waiting AGAIN. SO HERE IS THE RUN DOWN: He paid 18 dollars for some moldy, stale chocolate. Asked to send a NEW box. Received some 3.50 WALMART crap. WAS TOLD HE WOULD GET A REFUND. DIDN'T. HAD TO GO THROUGH OVER 2 HOURS OF WAITING ON THE PHONE JUST TO GET HIS REFUND WHICH THEY ALREADY TOLD HIM HE WOULD GET. My parents were celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary at the Belmont El Encanto on a Sunday. I called Goleta Floral on Friday at 5pm and requested they make a centerpiece that was a recreation of my Mom's wedding boquet to be delivered the next day. They were extremely accommodating and everything went as planned. The centerpiece was PERFECT and everything I had hoped for. Yesterday was my father's memorial service at 10:00 am. I had ordered two large "sprays" and a table-top arrangement (approx. $450) to be delivered to the church by 9:30 am. At 9:50 am we were trying to get ahold of someone at Goleta Floral to find out why no flowers had been delivered yet, as all of the guests where in their seats waiting for the service to start. As the service was ready to begin, a van pulled up to the church with the flowers. Today, I called the florist and expressed my dissatisfaction with their service. First off I just want to say that this is the first negative review I've ever written, I own a business in San Diego and I try not to leave negative reviews that can effect small business owners. I ordered flowers for my best friend's birthday online. I live in a different city and wanted to surprise her for her birthday. On the day of her birthday I found out around 5PM that she still hadn't received the flowers. I called the flower shop and was told that she tried to get a hold of both me AND my Best Friend because the address as she claims "did not exist". I called my friend to verify the address. I called the florist to assure her that the address was correct (I had ordered online so there was no excuse of misinterpretation or miscommunication of the address), she proceeded to argue that she had personally done the delivery and that she couldn't find it. She then said that she wanted my friend (the recipient of the gift) to call her directly and maybe go outside so that she could find the house. I cannot express how incredibly infuriated I am that she...... A: called my friend after only attempting to call me once and didn't leave a voicemail. B: Couldn't do the job of delivering the flowers. C: Argued the EXISTENCE of my friends address after failing to deliver the flowers. D: Forced me to have my friend ASSIST in receiving her OWN gift because of their incompetence. (She had plans for the weekend so this was the only time I had to give her a gift, otherwise I would have cancelled the order and used a different florist.) Possibly the worst flowers ever purchased. I ordered a $120 dollar arrangement for my work and received a pitiful arrangement that was nearly half the size listed on the website. When I called, I was told that they had run out of the pink ginger. Rather than notify me or replace the flowers with an alternative, they left it completely bare. I requested that the flowers be redone and they agreed. Unfortunately, the second arrangement consisted of the same sad flowers in a slightly different way. I would avoid this florist at all cost! You can get better flowers from vons or albertsons. read more

They refused to send out a replacement bouquet or refund me. Never did see the order. I called Ava's Flowers that I located online; they apparently are only a middleman and had Goleta Floral do the arrangement to be sent to my mother this last Sat. for Mother's Day. First of all, the flower arrangement looked NOTHING like the arrangement I purchased. I paid $5.00 extra for a red vase but a clear one was used. I also asked for curly twigs and there were none! The arrangement was about half the size of the one I ordered! There were no lilies as shown, they used cheap daisies instead. A lot less greenery, too. Looked like a child had done the arrangement! My mom sent me a pic of the flowers and I told her it looked nothing like what I'd paid for!! I wish I knew how to post the photos of the one I ordered and the one I got. Now, I can't even reach a person at Ava's Flowers to talk to...automated voice says schedule a call back, which I did, never got the scheduled call!! I would never use this florist ever!! Unfortunately my experience with Goleta Floral left a sore spot in my heart. Via an online service Goleta Floral was requested to deliver birthday flowers to my daughter IN THE MORNING, I emphasized the importance of this part of the order. Goleta Floral only 'noticed' this requirement at 2 in the afternoon when the service called at my request. I asked that the delivery be stopped as I would be in the area in another hour and the intent of a birth day surrounded by flowers was no longer possible. Instead apparently, Goleta Floral rushed and delivered the flowers anyway. I was on the phone with the service insisting that the delivery be stopped and not made. Then an hour later Goleta Floral returned and literally [yes an actual grab and run like a petty thief] ripped the flowers from my daughters hands and ran out the door of her place of employment. The delivery person was rude, reeked of smoke and other odors. Furthermore when I spoke with the delivery person on the phone he berated me for using a service [i had hoped to achieve good service and my direct phone conversation with Goleta Floral did not give me confidence, I had hoped that the service would use a more reliable source], whined that the morning was spent delivering in Carpenteria, and did not understand that from my perspective no matter where I had ordered from the delivery time was VERY IMPORTANT, but apparently not important to Goleta Floral only to me. So instead of a pleasant experience on her birthday, it was a heart wrenching abuse of a young person, extraordinarily poor service and seeming disinterest in any future business. read more
