We always enjoy Lil Bits, wonderful service and great tasting food. Cooked to order, so it comes out hot. Lovely service and feel at home when we visit. Lots of seating indoors and outside too.

Pleasant service and a kinda offbeat vibe, this little cafe has some really interesting offerings. I tried the Grover Beach Train Wreck, which was essentially a pile of fried potatoes topped with spicy chili topped with eggs (I did over easy), and then topped again with shredded cheese, chopped onion, and bacon. The server offered up some of their homemade green salsa from the back, which packed a major punch (and I say this as a spicy-seeker). Overall, the name of this dish was 100% spot on as it was messy as hell. It was a super generous serving and definitely covered two meals for me, which was impressive. It also came with a choice of more-different-carb, so I opted for a biscuit. It was surprisingly crispy on the outside and made for a nice contrast-y dessert bite when topped with their homemade jam. I recommend checking the spot out, and try to nab a seat outside.

HUGE portions on the breakfast, shareable for sure. I got myself the works omelet and sub in bacon instead of ham. Bacon, bellpepper, onions, mushroom, cheese, avocado and topped with some sour cream! Really good meal Comes with house potatoes and your choice of bread , I went with sourdough. They also had home made salsa and jam that they provided at the table. Service was amazing and very attentive. You can either sit inside or outside. Plenty of space.

Food was wonderful for a nice in the cut breakfast spot. You can get the eggs however you want them. Unfortunately the servers were not as friendly and it affected my experience . Maybe because it was really busy on Valentine's Day and they were overwhelmed. Regardless the food was good

The "Popeye" with wheat toast and coffee; just awesome!!!

Food is always great and portions are substantial. Service is great every time- I usually sit at the counter when it's just me but there is plenty of seating in front and in back of the place. Ordered the "Popeye," which is my go to breakfast (spinach, bacon, mushrooms all on top of home fries). A MUST with breakfast is their homemade salsa which is hotter than hell; but SO DAMN GOOD! This place is a Grover Beach institution- come here and eat well!

Dirty windows, torn screen, peeling paint, food on carpet.

Both the food and the service is good,BUT the restaurant just needs to be cleaned up. The windows were dirty, the screens were torn, nobody had picked up the crumbs and bits of paper off the carpeting, the paint was peeling off the walls. The food wasn't cheap, but good. Coffee was $4.50 which seems high. But the main reason we won't be back as it just seemed dirty inside

    Homemade corn beef and hash!!!

I never asked for corn beef and hash, but I had it here one time and I've been addicted every since! It's homemade and it really has such great flavor. I highly recommend the corn beef and hash.

    The happy couple!

Amazing home made food! The country scramble and Popeyes scramble will keep us full til dinner! Great coffee but best of all service is on point!

The prices here are really good. The food is really great. The bacon and the sausage are cooked the way I enjoy it not super crispy and crunchy but just good pancakes were great eggs were on point and the potatoes were really good too. There was one server to handle the whole restaurant so you can't complain about things that take long but everything was quick and fast. Definitely coming back here when I'm back in town.

Are we back to a new normal where we can eat at the counter again?

I believe so. When I ate there a little while back we sat at the counter

What do you put in your gravy? We don't eat pork so I wanted to ask ahead. Everything looks delicious!

I believe it's sausage gravy. Most breakfast gravy is made with either sausage or bacon grease.

An Unforgettable Birthday Dinner with Breathtaking Ocean Views!…read more We came to Ventana Grill in Pismo Beach for a Sunday night dinner date to celebrate my wife's birthday. This place definitely gets packed, so I highly recommend reserving a table in advance. We were lucky enough to get a window seat, and the outdoor patio views of the ocean are simply amazing! On top of that, the staff here has definitely become even more friendly--our server, Zach, was super efficient and attentive throughout our meal. The food was incredible from start to finish: * Mahi Mahi Fish Ceviche: We started with this alongside fresh tortilla chips, and it was honestly one of the best ceviches we've ever had. * Clam Chowder Soup: This special clam chowder came served with Parmesan cheese bread, which was absolute perfection. Again, hands down one of the best soups we've tasted! * Molcajete Surtido: For our main dish, we ordered this classic feast loaded with grilled colossal shrimp, arrachera steak, chicken breast, chorizo, spring onion, jalapeño peppers, nopalitos, avocado, pork rinds, molcajete salsa, queso fresco, and corn tortillas, served with a side of rice and beans. All the meats were so tender and flavorful, and the rice and beans were really nice. We were so full that we didn't even get to touch the tortillas! To top off a wonderful evening, they brought out a complimentary ice cream with a candle to celebrate my wife's birthday, which was such a thoughtful and sweet touch. Whether you're planning a special date night or a family outing, we definitely recommend Ventana Grill!

We were informed that there was an approximated 35 minute wait. Two other groups arrived after my husband and I and had their names added to the list. A group of four and a group of two. Approximately 10 minutes later the hostess seated the group of four before us even though the group informed them that we were there first. The hostess looked directly at us then informed the group to not worry about it and that she was seating them. Approximately five minutes later the hostess return to seat the group of two. They also informed the hostess that we were there first. The hostess told them not to worry about it and that if we had an issue with seating, that we needed to speak to her about it. The woman with that group then stated that the hostess was incredibly rude. After the second group was seated, I questioned the hostess as to why we had yet to be called. She informed me that she had called my cell phone and the call wouldn't go through and said she got a message that the call was forbidden. I then asked her why and she said she didn't know and proceeded to call my number in front of me to show that the call wouldn't go through. So she either wasn't dialing a 1 before the area code or their landline isn't set up for long distance. I asked her why we weren't informed of this and it was clearly pointed out to her by the other two groups that we had been waiting before them. She just glared at me and said that she had a table for us now. No apology, nothing! She seemed more concerned with obliging the group of four young men and other regulars that she clearly knew.
