I just noticed these photos in my cam roll and realized I had not written a review! So here it goes. Normally I like to visit an establishment a couple of times but since we don't live near here I'm reviewing them based on our first visit, and NOT the last. We were in town for the Christmas holiday last year visiting our grandma and other relatives. One of our uncles suggested we check this place out before driving back, so we did. And boy were we pleased with the food, ambiance and service. First, they love Jesus! Oh yeah, He is the reason for the season! Check out their Christmas decor. Second, the food was filling, hearty and fresh. We tried their biscuits, gravy, potatoes and the hubs ordered a breakfast burrito. The establishment also was clean and bright. The parking can be tight but thankfully we found one at the end of the row. The location is great; walking distance to the Pismo Beaxh pier. Overall, our experience was solid, and we're grateful to the friendly wait staff who helped us. We will hopefully be back again this Christmas season to visit grandma. read more

My mom and I were in Pismo for a few days and I decided to get up early to grab us some breakfast to bring back to the hotel. Beachin' Biscuits had amazing reviews and I do love a good biscuit so I headed out to order some takeout. Super cute location with both indoor and outdoors seating. It was early, but there were a few customers already there eating their breakfast. The customer service was outstanding. The young man who took my order was really friendly and helped me decide what to order. I opted for the scrambled eggs that came with cheese on top the homemade house, potatoes, and an amazing biscuit. I also got the honey butter and the strawberry jam. My order came pretty quickly and off I went. Eggs - perfectly cooked and loved the addition of the cheese on top. Wasn't overpowering at all. Potatoes - I actually really loved these. They had a smoky flavor to them that was just delicious. Biscuit - this was one of the best biscuits I've ever had. It was light and buttery and just delicious. I could easily eat two or three of these myself. Thankfully, I only got one and shared it with Mom. We were driving around looking for a place to have breakfast. We found Beachin' Biscuits. OMG! Fantastic location, fantastic atmosphere, the guy behind the counter will ask you what you feel like eating and find it on the menu for you. Then he tells you all the little things that come with it. I had biscuits and gravy (it was delicious) then a scrambled egg (very tasty) and the butter and jelly is epic in taste. Homemade biscuits and gravy was absolutely amazing. Sunday morning, arrived at 10AM and Beachin Biscuits in Pismo Beach was "jumping" with breakfast patrons. Beware "parking" is not a great experience. Most of the parking you will find is "paid parking "...ya sorry, I don't "pay" for parking...just not a "believer", I rather park farther away from a venue and enjoy the walk to and from. Lucky I didn't have to do that because just as I arrived at the restaurant another patron was leaving the small parking lot between Beachin Biscuits and Alex's BBQ ...amazing! The "order line" was out the door and all tables (first come first serve) were occupied by customers, but not to worry...the tables "turn over" pretty quickly and again, I got lucky and seating wasn't a problem (but it could be). The associate who took our order was cheerful and all associates were seemingly very busy. Our order: from the "Gravy Lovers" section...GNARLY BISCUIT SANDWICH (5/5 - truly a magnificent dish...and a great introduction to this restaurant's "best"), from the "Breakfast Burritos and Tacos" section...SUNRISE TACOS (5/5 - very tasty) and THE PABLO (4/5 - flavorful and a great "hand-held" food), from the Lunch Menu "Sandwiches" section...THE TIDE POOL w/Spicy mayo (3/5 - this was the "lowest rated offering"...wasn't hot/warm when it was served - felt like it had been left "standing for awhile" before being served...needed more spicy mayo and the chicken seemed "dry".), from the "Homemade Biscuit" section...BOARDWALK BITES (3.5/5 - really good when hot...but after a few minutes were very "dry" ...I should have had these w/coffee). The "value factor" is high here my dear Yelp Review Readers ...everyone had leftovers to "take with" and mine last 3 additional meals! Also (FYI) there is only 1 bathroom...so be prepared to "wait" if the need should arise. Nevertheless, all in all...the vibe is energetic and fun, parking isn't the best or pleasant, the food is, by enlarge, really good (recommend ordering an offering in which a biscuit plays an integral part...it is after all "Beachin Biscuits") and the service (for our experience) was good. We were traveling thru for my husband's birthday and stopped here for a late breakfast. It was so so so good!!!! I had the avocado toast which they have their own spin and it was great. My husband had a breakfast burrito which he really liked also. We also had the curry biscuit bites. Those were ok but not something I would order again. Not very flavorful. The wife and I do a getaway about two times a year to Pismo Beach. We almost always go to the Madonna Inn for breakfast. Since we did that Monday, I asked our hotel clerk if she could recommend someplace. She quickly said "Beachin Biscuits". We walked about eight minutes and there we were. I had the "Beachin' Sammie". It is a biscuit with egg and cheese. I added a sausage patty and I also got a side of gravy after telling the desk person I wanted biscuits and gravy, but an egg also. I liked that the biscuit was in two. I pretty much had my sausage and egg sandwich topped with gravy and a half biscuit smothered with gravy. The best of both worlds. Very tasty and filled me up perfectly. Prices were the best around. My wife enjoyed her egg and chorizo tacos. Nice location with an ocean view. Well done guys! We ordered takeout and took it back to our rental to eat. Ordering process was easy online and food was ready at the time it said. We ordered a couple things and everything was delicious. The Pablo tacos and biscuits were standouts. My son enjoyed the French toast. Service was great as well. Everything was packed up nicely and they even offered to help us take it to our car for us. I honestly don't even know where to start with this review. When I first stumbled across this restaurant, I was quite skeptical because not many places are able to make a good quality biscuits and gravy. Let me strongly tell you this, this was one of the best biscuits and gravy dishes that I've ever had. Paired with the gravy, it was served with delicious potatoes sausages and an egg. Hands down, I would order this everyday if I had the opportunity to do so. Moving onto the drinks that they had, I got a guava lemonade and they got a pineapple orange juice and oh my goodness these drinks were delicious. I truly wish I had a jug of the guava lemonade, that's how good it was. I can strongly recommend this place if you're looking for breakfast in Pismo beach or surrounding cities. Had the pleasure of visiting Beachin Biscuits on our way out of town and we were not disappointed! The restaurant is decorated really cute and I love that their coffee bar is called Bougie Coffee, so cute! The owner is friendly and nice as are all of her employees. They have a great selection on their menu so there is something for everyone. I'm not a huge breakfast person so I opted for their granola yogurt bowl and it was so good! It has orange blossom honey which adds the perfect amount of sweetness to it, and you can never go wrong with almond granola (it's my favorite). My husband got their Portuguese burrito, which he really enjoyed. We also ordered a white mocha and caramel latte, both of which had great flavor! It was the name that originally caught my eye the last time I was in Pismo, when we were looking for a brunch spot before heading out. I have become a fan of biscuit and gravy and Beachin Biscuits Pismo Pier is fully loaded topped with 3 scrambled eggs. But because it is fully loaded, unless you are a big eater, it is great to get something lighter like Sunrise tacos for the second option and share the two. Just note that even though the Sunrise Tacos are lighter in comparison to the Pismo Pier, it is still a very satisfying option with eggs, peppers, cheese, and homemade potatoes. AMAZING! If you've ever had the popular Biscuit B**** in Seattle, this was very reminiscent of that. At first glance it is on the pricier side, but then you get the biggest portion! Shared the gnarly breakfast sandwich between two people and could still barely finish it. It definitely is a very carb heavy, "heart attack on a plate" meal, but totally worth it if you're visiting Pismo. The shop has limited seating as it gets very busy.
