This was a great breakfast. As a southerner and frequent biscuit maker myself, the biscuits were impressive-everything that was promised-and so was the strawberry jam. The portions were large and we weren't really able to finish. We sat outside and ordered the Pismo Pier and the Portuguese Burrito. Both were excellent! We had heard that parking was a problem, but that was not the case. There was ample parking on the street and it is free except from 10-6 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
I honestly don't even know where to start with this review. When I first stumbled across this restaurant, I was quite skeptical because not many places are able to make a good quality biscuits and gravy. Let me strongly tell you this, this was one of the best biscuits and gravy dishes that I've ever had. Paired with the gravy, it was served with delicious potatoes sausages and an egg. Hands down, I would order this everyday if I had the opportunity to do so. Moving onto the drinks that they had, I got a guava lemonade and they got a pineapple orange juice and oh my goodness these drinks were delicious. I truly wish I had a jug of the guava lemonade, that's how good it was. I can strongly recommend this place if you're looking for breakfast in Pismo beach or surrounding cities. We were welcomed with amazing customer service, everyone was friendly and nice to us. You can sit and enjoy your meal inside, or if you want to get some fresh air can sit outside.

Delicious biscuits and food! The honey butter and strawberry jam are to die for. Hubby had gravy smothered potatoes and as a gravy guy said it was evident they didn't just throw it together but thought went into the gravy simmer. Love that for him....
Delicious sausage gravy with the most buttery biscuits I've ever had in California. Super friendly staff. Can't wait to come back to the coast and try more of their food.
Really, really yummy breakfast. My husband said the gravy tasted just like mine, which is a compliment (major sausage gravy girl here). Biscuits were very good. My kids enjoyed the boardwalk bites (mini biscuits with butter and cinnamon sugar). But the surprise hit of the morning was the Spanish breakfast burrito with linguica. Will be coming back for sure.
Food was amazing. Service was outstanding. Large portions. Come hungry or be prepared to take a lot home with you.

The inside and outdoor seating area are very small, so if you don't want a crowd or to wait for a table, I'd suggest taking it to go. The biscuits and the sausage gravy were packed full of flavor. It was the name that originally caught my eye the last time I was in Pismo, when we were looking for a brunch spot before heading out. I have become a fan of biscuit and gravy and Beachin Biscuits Pismo Pier is fully loaded topped with 3 scrambled eggs. But because it is fully loaded, unless you are a big eater, it is great to get something lighter like Sunrise tacos for the second option and share the two. Just note that even though the Sunrise Tacos are lighter in comparison to the Pismo Pier, it is still a very satisfying option with eggs, peppers, cheese, and homemade potatoes. They are definitely a popular spot with a following as it was still crowded even half an hour before closing and we met two people who rode their bike all the way from Southern CA just for food here.
First of all, we noticed that beach and biscuits has moved when we rolled into town. We were excited that it was at the old pizza place we used to go to. So we could sit in our same spot with our dog. Speaking of sitting. We never before could even sit at beach and biscuits at the old location so we are very happy that they moved. There's much more space inside and outside. Everything is as good as always. I always get the same thing like a gigantic burrito and I always get a biscuit with that amazing honey butter. So five stars for the food five stars for the friendly employees. Five stars on the establishment. Five stars on the price. And we will definitely be back over and over.

My mom and I were in Pismo for a few days and I decided to get up early to grab us some breakfast to bring back to the hotel. Beachin' Biscuits had amazing reviews and I do love a good biscuit so I headed out to order some takeout. Super cute location with both indoor and outdoors seating. It was early, but there were a few customers already there eating their breakfast. The customer service was outstanding. The young man who took my order was really friendly and helped me decide what to order. I opted for the scrambled eggs that came with cheese on top the homemade house, potatoes, and an amazing biscuit. I also got the honey butter and the strawberry jam. My order came pretty quickly and off I went. Eggs - perfectly cooked and loved the addition of the cheese on top. Wasn't overpowering at all. Potatoes - I actually really loved these. They had a smoky flavor to them that was just delicious. Biscuit - this was one of the best biscuits I've ever had. It was light and buttery and just delicious. I could easily eat two or three of these myself. Thankfully, I only got one and shared it with Mom. The honey butter was delicious, but the star of the show was that strawberry jelly oh my goodness it's so good! 10 out of 10 I will be back!! read more

Sunday morning, arrived at 10AM and Beachin Biscuits in Pismo Beach was "jumping" with breakfast patrons. Beware "parking" is not a great experience. Most of the parking you will find is "paid parking "...ya sorry, I don't "pay" for parking...just not a "believer", I rather park farther away from a venue and enjoy the walk to and from. Lucky I didn't have to do that because just as I arrived at the restaurant another patron was leaving the small parking lot between Beachin Biscuits and Alex's BBQ ...amazing! The "order line" was out the door and all tables (first come first serve) were occupied by customers, but not to worry...the tables "turn over" pretty quickly and again, I got lucky and seating wasn't a problem (but it could be). The associate who took our order was cheerful and all associates were seemingly very busy. Our order: from the "Gravy Lovers" section...GNARLY BISCUIT SANDWICH (5/5 - truly a magnificent dish...and a great introduction to this restaurant's "best"), from the "Breakfast Burritos and Tacos" section...SUNRISE TACOS (5/5 - very tasty) and THE PABLO (4/5 - flavorful and a great "hand-held" food), from the Lunch Menu "Sandwiches" section...THE TIDE POOL w/Spicy mayo (3/5 - this was the "lowest rated offering"...wasn't hot/warm when it was served - felt like it had been left "standing for awhile" before being served...needed more spicy mayo and the chicken seemed "dry".), from the "Homemade Biscuit" section...BOARDWALK BITES (3.5/5 - really good when hot...but after a few minutes were very "dry" ...I should have had these w/coffee). The "value factor" is high here my dear Yelp Review Readers ...everyone had leftovers to "take with" and mine last 3 additional meals! Also (FYI) there is only 1 bathroom...so be prepared to "wait" if the need should arise. Nevertheless, all in all...the vibe is energetic and fun, parking isn't the best or pleasant, the food is, by enlarge, really good (recommend ordering an offering in which a biscuit plays an integral part...it is after all "Beachin Biscuits") and the service (for our experience) was good. On this occasion...in this Yelper's opinion, Beachin Biscuits is in fact "worth the hype" and truly earned this "highly recommend" 4.5 Star "we'll be back soon" review. read more
Never fails - LOVE This Place Boogie Board Breakfast Burrito with gravy inside. This was good.. and perfect for on the go ... but my ultimate favorite is ...... the GNARLY BISCUIT SANDWICH - light and airy biscuits topped with sausage and perfect over easy egg and then smothered in sausage gravy.... ABSOLUTE HEAVEN! This is served open faced... not so easy for on the go - but perfect in every other way!! Staff are all super friendly and look like they truly enjoy working there. They moved to a bigger building across the street from their little hole in the wall, which is awesome. Plenty of seating outdoor and a good 20ish seats indoors (which is a whole lot more than before ) This place gets busy especially on weekends.. so get there early or be patient - trust me, it is worth the wait! Can't wait to go back. Not everyday you have biscuits and gravy for breakfast and boy it's a treat. Their entire menu looked amazing but had to go with the classic Pismo Pier: biscuit, gravy, eggs, and cheese. Always choose the menu item with the name of the town. I'll keep it simple, it was great. They have killer coffee too, no need to make 2 stops. The service was quick, the inside was cozy, they have an open bar top looking table we sat at. read more

I haven't been biggest fan of biscuits and gravy- until I tried this place! Beachin' Biscuits definitely changed my mind !!! The portions were big and the biscuits were nice and fluffy! And the gravy on top with bacon crumbles - was amazing! The service was personable and speedy and I love the small intimate setting with some great outdoor seating ! Beachin' Biscuits is a cute little place with friendly employees. They have a coffee bar inside so you can just go in and order a coffee. I had the cappuccino, it was good. My dad liked the regular coffee. The Toes in the Sand (biscuit & gravy with bacon crumbles) was really good. The Gnarly Biscuit Sandwich, my dad had, was good but he said it was a little salty for him. Overall a great experience. I want to go back and try the breakfast burrito or breakfast tacos. read more

AMAZING! If you've ever had the popular Biscuit B**** in Seattle, this was very reminiscent of that. At first glance it is on the pricier side, but then you get the biggest portion! Shared the gnarly breakfast sandwich between two people and could still barely finish it. It definitely is a very carb heavy, "heart attack on a plate" meal, but totally worth it if you're visiting Pismo. The shop has limited seating as it gets very busy. But the pier is so close that you can order to-go and eat it at the beach (order online for quicker pick up). Next time I plan a trip to Pismo, this will definitely be a spot I'm coming back to. A very casual breakfast place to match the chill vibes of Pismo Beach. I visited here on a Saturday during a roadtrip up the PCH, and just found it on Google Maps searching for a breakfast spot in the area, and it is pretty close to the pier. Order at the counter and then grab a number and a seat. It's a pretty small restaurant, with some outdoor and indoor seating. It was nice weather in November for outdoor seating, maybe a little hot and sunny even, so we opted for indoor seating. They have really hearty dishes, so if I ever come back, I would love to try their other offerings! food ordered - americano: this was made really well. They have a nice espresso machine and a special coffee bar area, so if you just wanted coffee, you could order there. Service was so fast and we got our drink very soon after we ordered it. I was very impressed. - gnarly biscuit sandwich: not even a sandwich, but more like a biscuit and all their meats, smothered in gravy. SOO rich and filling. The biscuit wasn't too dry and I like the creamy flavor of their gravy, which wasn't too salty. That helped since the meat was pretty salty. - tsunami burrito: ALL their meats + egg in 1 huge burrito. It was dripping with oil! Such a hearty meal. We could only finish half and saved the other half for a leftover breakfast the next day. SUPER meat forward, if you're into that kinda thing. I think I prefer a better balance of meat & egg & other burrito fillings, but I definitely understand why they named it tsunami, because its a huge wave of meat, lol read more

What happened Beach and biscuits. We have been coming here since you opened. Never any issues. Excellent service, excellent biscuits and your gravy is almost as good as mine. Came in today, my husband loves your gnarly potatoes and I got the avocado toast. We were very surprised by the size of his dish, it looked like a flat something covered with gravy and eggs on top. What happened to those gnarly potatoes. Those big hunks of potatoes, now they look tiny little potato bits. As for my avocado toast. I have gotten it several times and always enjoyed it, but today I had to get my money back. The garlic aioli was so heavy on it I couldn't get past it. The last thing please get another water dispenser, the one you have takes someone with 3 hands to get a glass of water. I believe the spout is broken. Please don't let this gem go down. I understand cost and profit, but when you cut cost into your dishes then you will lose profit because I know my husband won't order it again and I believe others will follow. Or you need to change the name to Not so gnarly potatoes. read more
Came here on a Monday at around 11am! An awesome brunch place and I will definitely come back to try their other menu items. Food 3.5/5: We got the Pismo Pier which was very filling. It was pretty enjoyable but something that really bothered me was the large pepper corns in the gravy. It was unpleasant to bite into them and I had to pick them out to the best of my ability. Otherwise, I loved the biscuits and the eggs were well cooked. Service 5/5: The food came out pretty quick and the workers are super nice. They have a water station stocked with sauces and utensils to make your meal enjoyable as possible. Their hours do really suck with closing time being 12:30pm. I wish they would open a little later because this would be an awesome lunch place. Ambiance 5/5: No indoor seating but lots of seating outside with umbrellas. read more
