Was staying near by and decided to check this place out. Overall, the food and drinks were delicious! To drink, we ordered the mocha that is currently on special and an iced tea. Both had the perfect sweetness and great flavor. The mocha had a hint of pistachio. To eat, we ordered the lox avocado toast and bagel sandwich with bacon. The toastiness of the bread and bagel, and everything on top/inside went well together. But, even though the food and drinks were great, I believe this review deserves only 3 stars because of the customer service. The guy who brought out the drinks was fine, but it was the person working the register. We were definitely not familiar as this was our first time here. First, I ordered the mocha. No problem there. Then, when I ordered the tea, I asked if there were flavors I can add. The girl said "yes". I followed up with "what flavors" and she just turned and pointed to the little sign hanging on the wall, not the big menu on the screen. And that made it seem like she didn't want to talk anymore. So I was still friendly, but made the rest of the interaction short and sweet: ordered the food, paid and waited. As we waited for our to-go order, we noticed she seemed friendly with everyone else, even bringing out someone else's to-go order. But when it came to us, I had to walk up and get our order. I had no issue walking to get my order, I just found it odd when other people ordered to go, she walked their orders to them. As I said, food was great overall. Customer service definitely needs work. Definitely not coming back before we leave town, at least.
Perfect beach-casual breakfast spot to fuel up before a day in the sun. Waffles are made-to-order, with sprinkles or chocolate chips inside and out, or for a more traditional taste, covered in strawberries and Nutella. Whatever your taste, the waffles are light a fluffy inside, with the classic Belgian crisp form. The breakfast sandwiches come with an option of bacon or sausage, with a thick egg scramble and cheese on croissant, bagel or English muffin. The coffee and espresso are tasty, and they have hot cocoa for the kids. Friendly service, and nice outdoor covered dining make this spot a great choice for a cool breezy morning in Pismo. Next time I'm in town, we'll definitely come try more of the menu.
We are back, almost 6 years later, and the food is as good as we remember. Service was friendly and we enjoy eating our breakfast in the patio. It was our first time trying the churro waffle and it reminded me of the Disneyland churro with syrup. Delicious. I've tried many breakfast burrito and now I know why this one tops all the others. It's their house made aoili sauce. Bomb.
The shop is so cute and has outdoor seating. The food came out quick and was absolutely delicious. Perfect for breakfast before walking the pier!
We loved this little place in Pismo. We found it through yelp and really wanted some cool ice cream. We went in and don't be alarmed if you don't see the ice cream out and about (we were expecting that). The ice cream specials are on the menu so just look there. They were super nice to us and there was a cute patio we sat in to continue watching the car show taking place outside. Would come back!
This is a cute little casual cafe with a nice seating area outdoors. I had the smoked salmon toast and it was pretty tasty. The biggest drawback is that there is no restroom, even for paying customers. I asked, and was told that we would have to go down and use the public restrooms at the pier. This seems a little odd to me, as they serve food and drink. Also, it is quite breezy hence the name so prepare accordingly :)
Cute little coffee shop. I got a latte with vanilla and caramel, it was good. My daughter got a slice of their peach cobbler, she loved it. I liked it, i thought it was a bit chewy instead of crispy. I did love that they had tables right outside and they're right next door to Pismo Beach Hotel.
What a fun stop for breakfast. A+ rating for the selection of waffles. Limited seating both indoors and a beautiful outdoor seating area that is pet friendly. The service was top notch. If you are a tourist looking for an adventure I recommend parking down at Grover Beach. You can walk the Beach to Pismo (25 minutes) the stop at Breezeway in Pismo for breakfast and then walk back. You can either walk on the beach or the boardwalk. If you don't feel up to a walk you can park right by the cafe although be aware it can get busy during heavy traffic times.
I went to Breezeway Cafe this morning for breakfast I always thought they just served coffee, but turns out they have a ton of delicious breakfast options. Everything on the menu looked so good, but I went with the small biscuits & gravy, a half waffle, and the half churro waffle. The biscuits & gravy were a win! I'm usually picky about them, but the gravy was flavorful with little chunks of sausage (I think ) and the biscuit was spot on. My regular waffle with powdered sugar was fluffy and perfect-- not too crispy, not too soft, just right. The churro waffle stole the show though... cinnamon, sweet cream, and a glaze that was chef's kiss. I will definitely eat here again.

The minute you walk into this place you are greeted with the smell of waffles. Although that was tempting, we got the sunrise breakfast sandwich with sour dough and Greek avocado toast. You order at the counter and then you can choose a table in the breezeway where they will deliver your food. It can get busy, but service is quick. At first the place looks too small, but then you see the breezeway where you can sit and it's pet friendly. read more

This was my second time visiting Breezeway Coffee, and it's quickly become our go-to spot when we're in Pismo Beach. We usually stay near the pier, and this place is less than a 30-second walk, which makes it perfect for a quick morning coffee run. Both times we've been here, the coffee has been excellent. On our first visit, we got iced coffees, and they were great. They offer a wide variety of milk options, creamers, and syrups, along with the usual sugars and sugar substitutes, so you can customize your drink pretty much however you want. They also have a full menu beyond coffee, including iced tea, lattes, chai, hot cocoa, and Americanos. For food, they offer pastries, Belgian waffles, avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast burritos. I haven't personally tried the food yet, but everything I've seen coming out looks really good. On this most recent visit, we tried their affogatos, and they did not disappoint. We both went with vanilla, and it was exactly what you'd expect. The espresso was made fresh, and the balance between the hot espresso and cold ice cream was perfect. Seating inside is limited to a few bar stools, but if you walk just outside and around the corner, there's a breezeway seating area with comfortable chairs and a nice coastal breeze. It's a great spot to sit and relax for a bit. Overall, this is a great coffee spot in Pismo Beach. Consistently good drinks, quick service, and a convenient location. We'll definitely keep coming back. read more

The place was clean & had a good selection 2 choose from. And service was fantastic!!! I ordered a peanut butter mocha which I absolutely enjoyed!!! But I hated the regular avocado toast!!! It sounded good-avocado on toast w/ tomato bruschetta, sprouts, & a balsamic glaze. It didn't seem like the avocado was fresh & the balsamic glaze gave it a sweetness that I didn't want nor need!!! I didn't even finish it. My sisters made better choices & enjoyed their food. This is why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 1, maybe I just chose wrong. read more

One of the best breakfast spots around! We've been to Breezeway Café a handful of times now, and it's always solid. The food is great, the menu has plenty to choose from, and the staff has been consistently polite every time we've visited. Not only do they have a great breakfast selection, but also fancy coffees and a variety of ice cream! We love sitting outside, even when it's chilly. I mean, come on, it's Pismo!! We don't mind, we love it. Plus, it's tucked just off the main street, so it's a little more peaceful and away from all the foot traffic. Definitely worth a stop. read more

Small cafe with outdoor seating. Staff were super nice. Lox avocado toast was good. Lots of avocado and smoked salmon. I also grabbed a peach cobbler from the fridge and they offered to warm it up for me with ice cream, so we ended up having dessert for breakfast, which was awesome. My friend got the southwest burrito and it looked pretty good. Pretty large portion. read more

Staff were super friendly and our food was delicious. The breakfast sandwich is $7.95 which in my opinion is pretty cheap, and it was tasty. We were all satisfied with our meals. However, they skimped out on the drinks... a third of it was whipped cream before even taking a sip. The outdoor seating is pretty spacious and next to the Pismo Beach Hotel. They don't have public restrooms but the Pismo Beach pier is a short couple minutes walk away. read more

We tried the chicken and waffle, strawtella waffle, and the croissant melt. The waffles were so soft, crispy, and had a good balance of sweet and savory. The coffee was great and is also on the sweet side so people who prefer less sweet coffee get 50% sweetness level. read more

The food is great. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffle was airy and light and the chicken was tender, lightly breaded and seasoned well. My wife ordered the Very Berry, which had a waffle, strawberries, blueberries and whip cream. Again, it was delicious. Lastly, we ordered a side of bacon...crispy. However, service was sub-par. They complete forgot my wife's order. I had to go inside and ask about her order, which they had to look up on their computer. Finally, after about 15 minutes of wait and watching other people get their orders, they brought my wife's order out with a meager apology. Lastly, the bacon was not crispy. Instead it was soggy and extremely oily. If they can dial in their level of service, this place would definitely be a go-to spot for us. But for now, I am not able to highly recommend this place. Maybe it was an off day for the staff (no, ir wasn't busy at all). read more

Ordered an avocado toast, and a Cortado. The toast was unique, delicious and well balanced. Cortado was served hot and I was glad to see the pour was just the right size. Staff was friendly & swift. They have some seating inside but they also have courtyard patio seating on the side. Good quality convenient cafe - will return, hope you all enjoy the spot as well! read more

Does online ordering work? We waited until after 8am today and the online ordering is still not available on the website. We went with another restaurant, but had hoped to try this one.
Yes. Our online ordering is set to turn on and off at a specific time but every once in awhile it fails to turn on. You can always call and place an order or just come in and sit in our courtyard.
