This was my second time visiting Breezeway Coffee, and it's quickly become our go-to spot when we're in Pismo Beach. We usually stay near the pier, and this place is less than a 30-second walk, which makes it perfect for a quick morning coffee run. Both times we've been here, the coffee has been excellent. On our first visit, we got iced coffees, and they were great. They offer a wide variety of milk options, creamers, and syrups, along with the usual sugars and sugar substitutes, so you can customize your drink pretty much however you want. They also have a full menu beyond coffee, including iced tea, lattes, chai, hot cocoa, and Americanos. For food, they offer pastries, Belgian waffles, avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast burritos. I haven't personally tried the food yet, but everything I've seen coming out looks really good. On this most recent visit, we tried their affogatos, and they did not disappoint. We both went with vanilla, and it was exactly what you'd expect. The espresso was made fresh, and the balance between the hot espresso and cold ice cream was perfect. Seating inside is limited to a few bar stools, but if you walk just outside and around the corner, there's a breezeway seating area with comfortable chairs and a nice coastal breeze. It's a great spot to sit and relax for a bit. Overall, this is a great coffee spot in Pismo Beach. Consistently good drinks, quick service, and a convenient location. We'll definitely keep coming back. read more

It sounded good-avocado on toast w/ tomato bruschetta, sprouts, & a balsamic glaze. It didn't seem like the avocado was fresh & the balsamic glaze gave it a sweetness that I didn't want nor need!!! I didn't even finish it. My sisters made better choices & enjoyed their food. This is why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 1, maybe I just chose wrong. read more

We are back, almost 6 years later, and the food is as good as we remember. Service was friendly and we enjoy eating our breakfast in the patio. This is a cute little casual cafe with a nice seating area outdoors. I had the smoked salmon toast and it was pretty tasty. The biggest drawback is that there is no restroom, even for paying customers. I asked, and was told that we would have to go down and use the public restrooms at the pier. This seems a little odd to me, as they serve food and drink. Also, it is quite breezy hence the name so prepare accordingly :) read more

Food is so yummy. Lots of variety on the menu of breakfast foods. Staff is super friendly and helpful. And the prices are very reasonable.

What a fun stop for breakfast. A+ rating for the selection of waffles. Limited seating both indoors and a beautiful outdoor seating area that is pet friendly. The service was top notch. If you are a tourist looking for an adventure I recommend parking down at Grover Beach. You can walk the Beach to Pismo (25 minutes) the stop at Breezeway in Pismo for breakfast and then walk back. You can either walk on the beach or the boardwalk. If you don't feel up to a walk you can park right by the cafe although be aware it can get busy during heavy traffic times. read more

I went to Breezeway Cafe this morning for breakfast I always thought they just served coffee, but turns out they have a ton of delicious breakfast options. Everything on the menu looked so good, but I went with the small biscuits & gravy, a half waffle, and the half churro waffle. The biscuits & gravy were a win! I'm usually picky about them, but the gravy was flavorful with little chunks of sausage (I think ) and the biscuit was spot on. My regular waffle with powdered sugar was fluffy and perfect-- not too crispy, not too soft, just right. The churro waffle stole the show though... cinnamon, sweet cream, and a glaze that was chef's kiss. I will definitely eat here again. read more

One of the best breakfast spots around! We've been to Breezeway Café a handful of times now, and it's always solid. The food is great, the menu has plenty to choose from, and the staff has been consistently polite every time we've visited. Not only do they have a great breakfast selection, but also fancy coffees and a variety of ice cream! We love sitting outside, even when it's chilly. I mean, come on, it's Pismo!! However, they skimped out on the drinks... a third of it was whipped cream before even taking a sip. The outdoor seating is pretty spacious and next to the Pismo Beach Hotel. So good I went back again and again. Try the pistachio latte with oat milk. Honestly their coffee is so good it makes Starbucks look ridiculous!! We all loved the coffee! My wife ordered the Very Berry, which had a waffle, strawberries, blueberries and whip cream. Again, it was delicious. Lastly, we ordered a side of bacon...crispy. However, service was sub-par. They complete forgot my wife's order. I had to go inside and ask about her order, which they had to look up on their computer. Finally, after about 15 minutes of wait and watching other people get their orders, they brought my wife's order out with a meager apology. Lastly, the bacon was not crispy. Instead it was soggy and extremely oily. If they can dial in their level of service, this place would definitely be a go-to spot for us. But for now, I am not able to highly recommend this place. Ordered an avocado toast, and a Cortado. The toast was unique, delicious and well balanced. Cortado was served hot and I was glad to see the pour was just the right size. Staff was friendly & swift. I also got a Kids Nutella waffle which was so gooood, the waffle smelled so good and it was just the right amount of soft/crispy.
