Your options, for everything, are limited in Williston. It's…read morea man's world up there, so the chances of you finding a women's clothing store that... a) you want to shop at b) isn't stuck in the 1980s (which was the last oil-boom) or c) isn't totally picked over ...is very slim. That being said, Maurices might not be everyone's style, but it surely doesn't fall in the above categories. I find myself only able to shop in a certain corner of the store...the less-country-hick-corner. You will usually find a helpful staff and a handful of things you want to take home...which BELIEVE ME when I say that's a huge upgrade in this town. Street-parking can be limited and the hours aren't especially liberal..but any business downtown doesn't believe in over-extending themselves for anyone...specifically customers. Because that would be crazy.

She contacted the manufacturer, determined it was a very rare manufacturing defect, and immediately took care of the return and replacement--no hassle at all. Beyond that experience, this store consistently offers a wide selection of high-quality cooking products, and it's my go-to whenever I'm looking for anything kitchen-related. Being locally owned and operated only adds to the appeal. Highly recommended!

This coffee shop is a real find. An absolute treasure. Traveling from Fort Lauderdale through North…read moreDakota, I stopped at the Lewis and Clark Trail Museum; within whose quaint campus this coffee shop is nestled. After an hour and a half immersed in the exhibits at the museum, I stopped in for a cup of coffee and met Kathy "Jesse" James, the store's owner. Her family goes back multiple generations in North Dakota... A real pioneer family. She still owns the family ranch and was a wealth of knowledge around the museum, its artifacts and exhibits and the history behind it all. What should've been a 30 minute stop for coffee, lasted for three hours, at which point she had to gently kick me out. In a world of Starbucks and uninspirational national brands permeating historic towns everywhere, James Gang Java is a real coffee shop, locally owned and filled with local history. I'd go so far as to say the history and character in the coffee shop is as impressive as the history in the museum. Kathy makes great coffee, has a colorful family story and is a no nonsense part of North Dakota history. Don't pass her by!
