Great food and service! The "minced" turkey BBQ is delicious. I will be looking out for them from now on.

We visited mid-afternoon on a Saturday and were seated in the two front booths to accommodate our party size. Unfortunately, the experience started off shaky and never really recovered. Our server, Kareem, appeared overwhelmed and disorganized from the beginning. Early in the meal, he spilled water directly into my lap. Accidents absolutely happen in restaurants, and most people understand that, but what mattered here was the lack of follow-up. I spent the remainder of the meal with the front of my pants soaked and there was no meaningful acknowledgment, apology beyond the moment, or attempt to make the situation right. Service continued to be inattentive throughout the meal. Drinks were never refilled (unless finally asked), and once our food was dropped off, it felt like we were largely forgotten unless we flagged someone down. For a restaurant with Clyde's reputation, that level of hospitality was surprising. We ordered the pretzel, Oyster Rockefeller, burgers, French toast, asparagus, and the fried trout. The food was decent overall and visually appealing, but nearly every dish felt underseasoned, as though salt and pepper had been left out of the process entirely. Nothing was bad, but very little stood out. One of the biggest issues was the seating arrangement near the entrance. Because we were placed in the front booths, guests waiting for tables were clustered directly around us for much of the meal. People were standing extremely close to our table, hovering in our dining space, and we had to ask multiple individuals to move so we could eat comfortably. That is more of a management/layout issue than a guest issue, and it noticeably impacted the experience. I understand gratuity may be included or expected with larger parties, but service should still reflect care and attentiveness. At times, it felt like the incentive to provide that level of effort simply wasn't there. I can see why Clyde's has loyal fans, and perhaps this was an off day, but between inattentive service, the uncomfortable front seating setup, and food that was just average, this visit did not live up to expectations.

My friends and I also had an amazing experience with the owners of Wingos. They were so sweet and friendly. We walked past this place earlier in the day, and their shop stood out to us because of the shredded chicken mural on the wall. You will find a few parking spots on the street in front of the restart and within a reasonable walking distance. They serve wings and tenders with a large selection of sauces to choose from. I placed my order online, so it was ready by the time I got there. I just double parked, like most people do in the city, ran in and got my food. The staff there was very nice. The inside customer area is very small, but I was in and out. I ordered 10 wings, which I thought I ordered in 2 flavors. however it only came in one, mambo. That is ok. The wings were very delicious. I mean like finger licking delicious, packed with flavor. I also got a side of mac and cheese, which was also really good. It was cheesy like I like it, fresh and tasty. All in all, I really enjoyed my meal here. I am always skeptical when a see a restaurant claiming to have the best of something. This restaurant claims to have the best. After eating my meal, I would say there is some truth to that. I highly recommend checking this place out.

The space feels so intimate, which makes the whole experience more personal and memorable compared to larger, more crowded venues. The atmosphere was great from start to finish, and everything felt well-organized. The service was also a highlight, our server was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made us feel really comfortable throughout the night. Even though the food was just alright, the overall experience more than made up for it. Between the vibe, the quality of the show, and the excellent service, it's definitely a place I'd come back to again and recommend to others looking for a unique night out/date night!

She hosted a listening party show with a customized cocktail menu with drinks named after her latest album! The show was amazing and the sound was clear. Although the menu is a bit limited I enjoyed my crab cakes, which had no filler. Oh and be sure to save yourself time and park in the parking garage across from the alley. This is an amazing little space with big names. Every time I've come here I've always met with the artists after the show. So if you're a super fan and your favorite artist is performing here, GO!

Not too overbearing, not salty, and not an overwhelming sherry taste. The cheese was melted perfectly and the portion was just right. The service was okay. I was a solo diner and felt a little forgotten, almost as if the bigger tabs mattered more? The inside is also a little tight, but the building is old so that's expected! The history and charm really add to the aesthetic and it's definitely a cool, historical spot to check out for some good food. I unfortunately did not get the add a matchbook to my collection as I was told they don't have any, which was sad. I would recommend people check this spot out!

Yesterday we got a table and I now understand why the restaurant is so popular besides being known the place where JFK proposed to Jackie. The host and waiter were very friendly and efficient. From the entire restaurant watching the Kentucky Derby and cheering for that to singing happy birthday along with a table celebrating. It was so fun last night. Lastly and most importantly, a restaurant must serve delicious food and they nailed it! We had oysters, pork chop and seafood pasta. I can tell the recipe and preparation were superior than the typical pork chop (w/truffle oil) and seafood pasta (w/capers) at other average restaurants. Also the cocktails were very good. Everything was excellent and we can't wait to come back!

The space itself is nice, the water area gets very crowded though because people are waiting for their food. Setup could be a smidge different, as even employees had a difficult time. If you're looking for a true, authentic barbecue experience in Washington, DC, Rocklands Barbeque…read moreand Grilling Company in Northwest DC is absolutely worth a visit. Located right off a major roadway, it's easy to find, though parking is street-based and paid, something to plan for if you're driving in. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere immediately stood out. It genuinely feels like a classic barbecue spot, not just a restaurant that happens to serve BBQ. There's a warm, slightly vibe mixed with a city feel that makes it unique. As you enter, you're greeted by a front counter where you place your order, and the setup flows naturally into both indoor seating and additional space toward the side of the building. The layout is simple but effective, and everything about it is from the smell of smoked meats to the display of sauces that adds to that authentic barbecue experience. One thing that really stood out was how comfortable and welcoming the environment felt. The space felt safe, clean, and inviting. Whether you're coming in solo, with friends, or even for a casual date, it's the kind of place where you can just relax and enjoy your food without feeling rushed. We ended up choosing to sit outside, which was a great option. They have outdoor seating available, and it made for a really enjoyable lunch setting, especially with the city energy around us while still having that laid back barbecue feel. For food, I ordered two pulled pork barbecue sandwiches, and they were excellent. The pork was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor. You can tell it's been cooked properly and with care. What really elevated the sandwiches, though, were the sauces. They offer a variety, and the spicy honey mustard sauce was a standout and my favorite! It had the perfect balance of sweetness and heat and complemented the pork really well. I also ordered a lemonade, and it was very sweet, definitely on the sweeter side but still really refreshing and enjoyable. If you like sweeter drinks, you'll love it. My friend ordered a platter, and she had nothing but good things to say. She mentioned that the mac and cheese was especially good and creamy, flavorful, and a great side to pair with barbecue. Everything else on her plate was also well-prepared and satisfying, which says a lot about the consistency of their menu. Another highlight of our visit was the service. The manager actually came out to check on us and talk for a bit, which added a really personal touch to the experience. He had a great attitude, positive energy, and genuinely made us feel welcomed and appreciated as customers. That kind of service goes a long way and made the visit even more memorable. They also serve alcohol, which is a nice option if you're looking to pair your meal with a drink, although we didn't order any on this visit. Overall, everything about our experience from the food to the atmosphere to the service was excellent. It's the kind of place that delivers not just on taste but on the full experience of what a barbecue restaurant should feel like. If you love barbecue like we do, I highly recommend checking out Rocklands. We had an amazing time and will definitely be coming back. 5 out 5 stars!
