They appear closed even though Yelp and their website is live. They need to shut it all down. Too bad because their food was good.

I'm a pizza snob and the sauce was sweet and perfect, the crust was perfectly cooked and not burned, hard or flavorless.

Everything was absolutely delicious! Even though the place was packed, the service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. The dishes are packed with flavor, clearly made with quality local ingredients, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the level of creativity coming out of the kitchen. The staff is consistently warm and attentive, making you feel like you've been coming there for years. They do take reservations, which is great for bigger groups (anything over six), and even when there's a wait, it moves fast. Never long enough to be a hassle. One of the things I love most is their daily special. The rotating menu keeps things interesting, and you can tell the chefs put real thought into crafting something unique each day! If you're searching for a place that blends comfort with standout, big‑city flavors and quality food, Workshop Tavern is the spot! Truly the best restaurant in the area!

It's right next to a gas station and the name...well...let's just say I had questions. Usually it's the places that are a hole in the wall and dives that are the best, though. Let me just say...after I ordered my sandwich and saw that it came with pickles, I was already a happy camper before I tried the sandwich. That was probably around four years ago. Then I took a bite...and it was unlike any sandwich I'd ever had before. It did get a little messy, but what's good food without it being a little messy? Honestly, I'm kind of a mess so it probably had something to do with that. Four years later - nothing had changed. I love going there to get a sandwich when I'm in the area. I just wish they were open a little later. My top three picks are the Birdie, Greek, and Real Italian. You can't go wrong with any of them. I've also tried the Wally, Sand, Pitching, Flip, Original, and New Yorker (sometimes a family member will let me try some of their sandwich...and vice versa). All great. There is just something about my top three though. I love that they are made fresh to order, that you can customize them, that they have an option for gluten free bread, and unsweetened or sweet tea (their unsweetened tea is delicious). I usually get an extra pickle when I remember. They have decent selections for sides as well. Nothing like a good sandwich from Wedgies and a cool drink in the summer! I do wish for more drink and side options...but that's me being super nit-picky. Get yourself a sandwich from Wedgies! You won't be sorry. Sometimes, calling ahead or placing an order ahead is the best way to go because it's usually very busy. Give a nice smile to all the kind people there as well. They do work hard!

BIBIBOP is located in the same Southern Pines shopping area as Target and Whataburger. I had never…read moreheard of it, but I was already nearby, saw the sign, and figured I would give it a try. The easiest way to describe it is Chipotle, but with Korean-inspired bowls. You move down the line choosing a base, hot toppings, cold toppings, protein, and sauce. There are plenty of options, including purple rice, sweet potato noodles, kimchi, Korean BBQ beef, spicy chicken, salmon, and several different sauces. Instead of building my own, I ordered one of the chef-curated bowls, the BIBIBOP Fan Favorite. It came with chicken, purple rice, sweet potato noodles, roasted sesame broccoli, potatoes, carrots, corn, cheese, and yum yum sauce. The bowl was okay. It definitely felt more like Americanized Korean food than anything traditional, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. For around $12, the portion and price were reasonable. The first employee told me they had run out of broccoli, but more was coming out shortly. Somewhere between the first and second person assembling the bowl, the broccoli never made it in. I did not notice until I had already started eating. Not a huge issue, but it was one of the listed ingredients and one of the better-sounding parts of the bowl. I also did not realize the Fan Favorite came with yum yum sauce. It was fine, but I think I would have enjoyed the bowl more with gochujang for a little more flavor and heat. That is on me for not reading the description closely enough. The drink selection was probably the highlight. They had several flavored lemonades and teas in addition to regular fountain drinks. I tried the passionfruit lemonade and loved it. Refills are included, which made the drink feel worth adding. Overall, I would eat here again, especially if I was already in the area and wanted something quick that felt a little different from the usual fast-casual options. Would I crave it or make a special trip for it? Probably not. Next time, I would build my own bowl, make sure the broccoli actually makes it in, and choose gochujang instead.
