Nice restaurant, I loved the feel of it. The service wasn't bad. Was were checked on every few minutes. My buddy had a Husker burrito and it was very dry. He's got a giant appetite, but he didn't even finish it. I had enchiladas, and they were pretty good! I also had a burrito from their takeout menu at an earlier time, and it was pretty good. Chips and salsa was ok, but nothing special. I'll go there again, but not because it left me wanting more. read more

My family gets take-out quite a bit from Lil Burro and I love how they have a drive through where you can just swing by and pick it up. Service always seems to be really quick! Food is also good and love the Flour chips they offer! Definitely a good place to check out. read more

Lil Burro - Mexican Near Me - Bellevue, Nebraska

Great authentic Mexican spot! There was four of us adults and the food came out quick. We all really enjoyed our foods and I can be a picky Mexican foodie so that's saying a lot! Service was quick and there was a nice Mexican vibe to the restaurant. For sure will be going back as there was a lot on the menu we want to try still! read more

Lil Burro - Fish Tacos - Mexican Near Me - Bellevue, Nebraska

Horrible tasting Mexican food and expensive prices. The service is only okay and the ambiance is adorable, but more country than Mexican (this should have been my first clue that they didn't know how to make good Mexican food). read more

This delicious local Mexican spot is located in South Bellevue. The service tonight was fantastic, and food came out quick, hot and full of flavor. I definitely recommend trying the chili relleno. The pork green chili sauce on top had a nice kick but was not too spicy, I Cannot wait to come back again in the near future. read more

We had lunch here yesterday! We hadn't been in a while, but Lil Burro did not disappoint! Our waitress was great, the atmosphere was bustling with customers, but orders came out quickly! We each ordered the fish tacos. The restaurant gives complimentary salsa and chips which is always a plus!!! read more

The rellenos are so good with their pork sauce on it. Best I've had anywhere. The service is always friendly! I really enjoy their new artistic tables, as well. Their margaritas are delicious! read more

Live close by and place always seems to be popular. Have tried lunch and dinner on occasions and they are consistent. Just below average, food needs seasoning and just off flavors. Had enchilada and taco. Taco looked plain and tasted plain. Enchilada had way too much garlic. Wife had taco salad and tasted like a plain salad. Service was good but went for the food really! read more

Nice ambiance and plenty of seating, prompt friendly service are the high points of our visit. Food was fresh and authentic but not the best I've had in the area. read more

We ate at the Lil Burro restaurant and as always the food was excellent! I've been trying different kinds of burritos lately (All Good), but my favorite turns out to be a bean and beef burrito with Green Chili and Pork sauce. Yum! The green chili sauce has some chili punch but, not the kind of punch that keeps your mouth burning. I don't know how they do it, but this is so flavorful and the chunks of pork are very tender. I also want to add that this restaurant has the best Mexican rice. I usually avoid the rice at other Mexican restaurants. Not at Lil Burro restaurant! Tender and flavorful rice that is so enjoyable to eat. Now let's talk about the wait staff, friendly and helpful every time. I really enjoy eating at lil Burro restaurant! If you haven't already tried it, it is a welcoming atmosphere, great traditional Mexican food and wonderful friendly service and staff! read more

Nope! Not Mexican food. It was gross. Sorry. I came here on a referral and no thank you. And pricey to boot!

Always return here for great Mexican food. Good, friendly service. Pleasant atmosphere.

Never disappoints! The food is always fresh and well prepared. Staff is friendly too. It is the only Mexican restaurant in this area that I like. read more

I had lunch with my wife and a friend here today (5/26/26). We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and the service was excellent. My friend and I had the enchiladas with rice & refried beans (he elected flour enchiladas filled with chicken & beef, while I had corn enchiladas filled with cheese & beef). They were perfect! My wife loved her chili relanos. We each had a different type of margarita, and I have to say, all of us said they were fantastic. I highly recommend this place. They deserve 5 stars.. read more

We've been eating at Lil Burro since they opened. I always have the tamales. My daughter went through a vegetarian phase and Lil Burro has options. They have a pepper patch in the back for fresh peppers. We enjoy the friendly and efficient service. And it is within walking distance of our house. read more

Went with a family of 6 people, fairly early in the day. We were seated quickly at an open table. This is a small family-run restaurant that has a unique antique atmosphere. Very welcoming and homey. The server came over immediately with chips and salsa. The chips were warm and crispy, possibly homemade but not sure. The salsa was also homemade with a bit of a sweetness. We also asked for a hot salsa which was very authentic and quite spicy. All good. The menu is quite large with a lot of choices. The Burrito Macheca that I had was excellent. Shredded beef and rice filled with a wonderful spicy sausage gravy. Rice and beans were tasty and well prepared. My son had the Chicken Chipotle - very spicy - and very good. I had a bite. Our server was excellent. She returned many times to ask if we needed anything. The owner or manager also stopped by to ask us how was the food. Seemed like great people. Friendly. Overall this is a great small restaurant to visit for Mexican food. We all left full and satisfied at a very reasonable price. Great job! We will be back! read more

I love this place, Its really be best mexican food in bellevue. i would give it 6 stars if i could. the staff is always nice its not to expensive the place has a great fun vibe and the food is hitting way out of its weight class to get better mexican food you would have to spend a whole lot more money. read more

First time stopping in here in since 2023. My group stopped in right around 5pm and it was not very busy. This place can have some very busy times depending on the day. The parking lot can be deceiving, making you think it's busy inside. Maybe it was an off day, but it was not quite the drinks, appetizers, and food i was used to. The interior is friendly and inviting that you may not expect from the small exterior. Staff are all pretty good people and have no complaints there. It might just be a little more pricey than you expect. read more

Ambiance was very nice ...The liter of Margaritas were spot on ..with salt around the rim and extra lime for that punch...they started us off with chips and salsa ...gave me extra spicy (like me) salsa upon request ..we had fajitas ..My friend ordered chicken fajitas (which they very graciously substituted shredded chicken for her, (never been done) but owner came over and made sure to double check the type of chicken she requested before serving it) custom order with a SMILE and served with the works.....i.e...flavorful guacamole , sour cream ..tortillas, rice and beans! I had the shrimp fajitas that were cooked perfectly..plump and juicy..bursting with spicy flavor with sautéed peppers and onions ! They closed at 8:30 but did not rush us out...nobody started sweeping or putting chairs up...they let us enjoy our time. Thank you for such great service! We will be back read more

I ordered my food online and it was ready and waiting. I ordered the Bravo Burro and the Pork Chile verde. That chile verde was excellent and honestly, could be a meal by itself, if you ate it with some rice. The spice was pleasant, and the portions were good for the price. I could not finish the Bravo Burro. I did have to add a little more salt to the meal, but they put salt and pepper in the bag, so not a big deal for me. I'll be back--especially for some more of the chile verde. read more

I discounted this place after driving past it but a coworker of mine recommended it. It's a quaint little place with a drive thru. The food was really good but the margarita tasted from the gun. My favorite part was the owner, Shane, going around from table to table asking about everyone's food. I have to give a shoutout to our waitress, Cami. She was incredibly attentive and really kind! Always enjoy the food from Lil Burro, never had anything we didn't like. Best Fish Tacos here.

We were there yesterday and I won't be back. Overpriced for what you get and there was not a hint of seasoning on anything. It was the most bland Mexican I have ever had. I have had better food at Taco Bell. read more

Food is always really good here but we showed up at 8:35 and we were turned away. What kind of business closes at 8:30 on a Friday night makes no sense. That is poor. Very poor run business to do that. Thank you. read more

The food is consistently good and the service is quick and friendly. I believe they have the best and freshest guacamole in town! The prices are reasonable and if you pay with cash, you get a dollar discount off. I love the fried tacos and get at least one every time I am there. I recommend this restaurant for its great Mexican food. One of my favorite places in Omaha area! read more

Good service, but the food was just ok to me, which is disappointing because I love mexican food! We tried the house beef n' bean dip, carnitas plate (evening special) and a taco/enchilada plate. I didn't like the flavor/spice of the carnitas and felt like the chunks of meat were too big. It wasn't what I was expecting. The dip and other food was bland and underwhelming. It's nice to try new places, but this place was a bust for us. read more

We've been going there for years- local, honestly just good people that serve awesome food

First time here and meeehhh The Good: The waitress was nice and witty. Offered some great suggestions on our food choices since it was our first time. She has been working there for many years and seems to really enjoy her job! The Bad: The food was pretty blah. For a local little Mexican restaurant you would expect some family recipes or authentic flavors. The ground beef was not seasoned at all in our Supreme burrito and the rice tastes exactly like Spanish box rice. Huge disappointment... over all very subpar food. The Ugly Truth: If you're going out with friends for some mex food and a few drinks the atmosphere is perfect. The food will not be too spicy (unless you ask for it) and the staff will be very welcoming and friendly. If you however want to go out for some delicious and authentic Mexican food I would steer clear of this place. We were told they grow the peppers in the backyard in the summer and they are very good. So we might be back to try the food in the summertime. Otherwise it's a check of our list for now and very under-impressed with our meals. Leaving the waitress a 40% tip for her awesome service felt great. read more

Always great food in an atmosphere where you want to go socialize for lunch or after work!

2nd time my husband and I have been here. I just moved from Phoenix AZ and I was afraid I would not find really good Mexican (or other Latin) foods as I enjoyed there. This place is excellent. The staff are exceptionally friendly and the food is so good. We tried the jalapeño poppers and we enjoyed that. My husband got the enchilada special and I got a burrito. We shared a fried ice cream after. We will be back. read more

It's just okay for me. It can be hit-or-miss; it's a gamble. I guess it all depends on who is in the kitchen that day, and/or how they are feeling? This review is based on food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and value. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes not so much. I've ordered the exact same dish of different days, and the execution was worlds apart. Even the salsa will be different on different days/nights... I don't get it. One thing that is consistent is the nachos are always terrible. The service is usually good, but there is one guy there that seems to always be lost. He's a total space cadet. You can say something to him, and 30 seconds later he'll ask the same exact question. I call him goldfish. Cleanliness is usually good. I've never had any problems while dining in. The atmosphere is average for a Mexican restaurant. Everything you would normally see and hear. The value is worth mentioning. The prices are average IF you pay cash, in person & dine-in. You'll pay more for using the drive through. They have a "discount" if you pay cash, but didn't get that the one time I used the drive through. If you pay with any type of card, they charge extra. This is because the way they have set up their credit card processing. They have chosen to have a percentage charged for each transaction, and pass that cost of operations directly to the customer. I assume this is to encourage cash payments. Fun fact, is easier to embezzle cash than digital transactions. If you order online, all the menu prices are approximately 10% to 15% higher. If you order through a food delivery service, the menu prices are higher, there's a service fee, and a delivery fee. The value gets increasingly worse. Basically, the only way I'll eat here is if I have time to go, sit down, and happen to have cash on me. Otherwise, not worth it. I haven't found a go-to dish here, so if you have any recommendations, let me know. read more

We've been going to Lil Burro for 20 years and the food & service is always excellent.

Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere and location. I highly recommend. My family loves it

Where do I begin? Liz our server was fantastic! Great attitude and got us exactly what we wanted. The warm flour tortilla chips with the nacho cheese dip was the best I've ever tasted. The corn chips and salsa were awesome as well. I got the steak and chicken combo fajitas. They were sooo good. I like that I got lots of sour cream (I like sour cream lol) and even the guacamole was good and the refried beans! Two things I'm not a huge fan of and both were pretty good. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Lunch date yesterday and this was the location I chose. We walked in and were seated shortly after entering, but you could tell the server was busy. From what we could see they were fairly busy around 1220 so understandable for the middle of the lunch rush. She brought our drinks and salsa a few minutes after we were seated. My hubby ordered chicken & steak fajitas while I chose the lunch Burrito supreme topped with queso instead of the original sauce. The salsa was bland but more tasteful once I added a little salt. The "spicy" queso was very good. He really enjoyed his fajitas, but I was in shock with my burrito. It was HUGE! I had enough for another full meal including beans/rice as well. Overall we were trying not to spend over $30 for lunch, but with a beer and our food it was $36 without the tip. I was surprised they didn't offer a military discount, but leaving with 2 full meals for a little under $50 was better for the mind. read more
