We stopped in for a super fast dinner as we were doing business across the street and I have never been and it was shockingly very good! The service was super fast and gives authentic Mexican restaurant in Mexico vibes with I love. The building is massive and has plenty of parking. The portions are HUGE. I got the shrimp and rice with veggies and everything was cooked very well and came out fast. The sauce that they covered my shrimp with was just hot enough for me which I really appreciated. The rice was cooked very well as well! read more

We stopped in quick for dinner and it kinda blew me away! Lived in Bellevue for 29 years, my whole life and have never been! The service was quick, helpful! The ambiance is a fun Mexican experience! The location is huge and plenty of parking! And the food was huge portions, decently priced, delicious, hot, and all came out correctly AND QUICK, which was great because we were starving! read more

La Mesa Mexican Restaurant - Enchiladas Vegetariana far and bbq carnitas enchiladas in the foreground. - Mexican Near Me - Bellevue, Nebraska

It was ok...very pricy for what I ordered (prices really went up) and my chips were stale..more of a Taco Bell taco ..not my normal authentic enchiladas ..but the atmosphere was good...the drink was ok..I had a Paloma ...a bit disappointed but it was average for me this visit read more

This last time we visited on the holiday weekend it seemed like they were understaffed. Our server was good but obviously very busy. But even though we had to wait our orders came out correct even with modifications and the food was good. read more

The food is practically tasteless, it's uninspired. Service could be better too. I hate this restaurant.

Picked up takeout. Order was done quickly and everything was delicious. Food was fresh and enough for leftovers. read more

Made it back here for lunch the other day. Had the usual taco salad which was very tasty. The service was excellent.

We've been coming to La Mesa since their early days and have always found them to be a good option in Bellevue if craving for a sit-down Mexican restaurant. They have a party room that caters for big groups, which is an advantage for them with the Air Force Base clientele just down the road. Great menu and good option for drink specials (e.g. Margarita Wednesdays). I particularly like their Taco Street menu and highly recommend the Carne Asada. They also have a la carte items and shell/tortilla selection for tacos. read more

La Mesa Mexican Restaurant - Tacos for the win! - Mexican Near Me - Bellevue, Nebraska

Let's start with the ambiance. Every single chair in this restaurant is different. They're each hand painted something different. I felt an immediate sense of pride to the Hispanic culture walking into this place. Our service was fast, they had placemats and crayons for kids to color, the facility was clean, great music, beautiful artwork on the walls but my only knock would be the hasty service and that the quesadillas came with a velveeta tasting white queso, as did the kids nachos which my son wouldn't eat. It almost felt like a need to get it over and done with from the server. This is a good place to eat. The food was flavorful, the order was correct, read more

This is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. We usually split mixed fajitas for one, and we still can take home leftovers. I recently tried their mixed nachos that's now one of my new favorites. Queso topped with chicken/steak fajitas meat and peppers/onions on their chips is the way to go. I really like some of their burritos as well. Huge food portions is what I love most about this place. They make great margaritas with a ton of varieties for everyone. The servers are quick to greet, grab your drinks, and place your orders. We've never had to wait more that 10 minutes for food even on busy nights (ex. Cinco de Mayo). read more

Arrived for a late lunch. Asked to sit outside but was told outside area was closed. Was seated in a section with a masked server. But she was the only server masked. Ordered quickly and our food was brought out quickly. Food was good and is a good chain restaurant feeling. Tried the tequila lime salad. Dressing was delicious and served warm Would highly recommend This menu item. read more

Nice service and fair price. Quality and rating of the food depends on the items ordered.

Service was terrible, took 30 minutes to take our order after bringing the table more chips and salsa when we still had plenty from when they brought it the first time. Order a beef chimichanga with no tomatoes and the waitress said no tomatoes and I said yes. Brought it out and it was the saddest looking chimichanga I have ever saw. Cut into it and it was steak and filled with tomatoes. Waitress came over and I explained to her that it was full of tomatoes and she said all the meat is cooked with tomatoes. So why would you not tell the customer that is how it comes instead of telling the customer no tomatoes correct. The manager was just as bad. This is not the first time the service was bad. Will never go back to this location again. Absolutely terrible. read more

Chips tasted stale like it was a day old. The cheese appetizer is in a small bowl, half the size that we got last time we were at the Papillion location. The cheeseburger had no cheese and the chimichanga was plain. The chicken tortilla soup also did not have much of a flavor. My kids liked the rice and service was excellent. We probably will not return to this location and go to the other location in Papillion. Tip - There is an app that you can download and get free stuff but you have to scan a code before you pay. read more

Our food was so good, big portions, especially for the price. Our waitress was very nice, and our food came out quickly.

The food was AMAZINGGGG. The service was impeccable. Don't miss out. The place is so cute as well. Best Mexican I've had on Marco Island in years. Definitely will leave content. read more

This might be my new favorite Mexican restaurant! I ordered fajitas for 2 to split with my wife. That's a ton of food to share! W we stuffed ourselves and took a lot of leftovers home. The fajitas had a huge portion of steak, chicken, shrimp, chorizo, and veggies. The portions of rice, beans, and toppings for each person was large too. Another plus, they have one of my favorite beers on tap...Dos Equis Amber. read more

Consistency with their food is amazing. Always delicious when I order. Their salsa is definitely my favorite around.

We tried takeout for 2 one drizzly evening since we were too lazy to drive the extra 10 mins to our South O favorites. I ordered two street style tacos and hubs got a burrito. 5 stars for the packaging and separation of items, although I am very environmentally conscious and prefer less take out waste. The food was around $23 and came with complimetary chips and their famed house salsa. Overall the food was good. It's average tex-mex in my opinion, and will fulfill a craving. I still prefer to head to South O for taco and platter dishes though. read more

really disappointed in the mexiacanas that we have been getting for 20 years plus. They used to be pulled beef in a deep fried tortilla, they were rolled up. what I got today was flat was loaded with onion and green and red peppers, three small bites of beef. No where on the new menus does it note this change. The manager seemed to care less about our concerns in the change of the food. We were not looking for anything but maybe some sort of any understanding of what we were talking about. The staff was wonderful, awesome service from our waitress , and he r tipped showed that. She does not control what managements choice on making changes in fillings. read more

Much Different and opposite to the other La Mesa I have been to in Omaha. La Mesa has I think 3 or 4 locations through the Omaha/Metro Area. This one being in Bellevue off 75 and Fort Crook Road. I have been to this location a few times now for work lunches. And it is pretty consistent with everyone asking why we go to this one? We are always greeted and seated immediately. With fresh salsa and chips being brought to you right away (complimentary). This is good and is just like to other spots. The service then drops off and the food is not as good. You will wait and look for your server for much of the meal. but wont find them. The Enchilada sauce at this location is more like Ketchup and sweet ?? The food is not as good as the other Locations (Maple street is my favorite) read more

La Mesa Mexican Restaurant - Margarita- pineapple and cranberry - Mexican Near Me - Bellevue, Nebraska

This restaurant is my go to for fajitas! You never know when they will be busy but even if they are it's a short wait. They need to clean the top of their booth seating area. The Spanish Tile is very dusty but they did take down the pennant flag banners that were looking old. A few seating areas are looking well used but that just means they are busy! We've never had a bad menu item. Just too much food. read more

Had a great take-out experience with La Mesa today. I ordered the Jalisco-styled Birria which tasted great & is indeed comparable to Birria from Mexico.
