Like a Boss is a mobile coffee truck has been around since '06, and loving their logo and seeing the line at a local farmers market, I knew I had to check them out! I asked for recommendations, and the cashier just pointed at their menu, saying that all are pretty good - I went for the hot version of the Latte Cardamani that was prepared with cardamom and cinnamon. I loved that it was came out extra hot, but the coffee itself was just extremely weak and literally tasted like flavored water. I'm not sure if we went on an off day or if there was a change with the barista, but such a super disappointing experience. Wow - the owner replied to my review like a defensive nutcase....and she took the time too look up other reviews of mine and LIED saying I just write bad reviews about coffee shops?! I guess they don't want honest reviews! This is by far the saddest coffee I've ever had. I ordered a small, hot Cafe De Olla and got a 1/2 cup of lukewarm, flavor lacking sadness. I'm a big supporter of small business but how dare they do this to their customers. I see some positive reviews here which clearly means they're very inconsistent. By far the best coffee truck in town! The owner, Patrick, has been doing this longer than anybody and his passion is undeniable. He really loves what he does, you can tell. He goes the extra mile for every person in line. The drinks themselves are top notch. Depending on what menu you pay for, they even have delicious smoothies. Personally think the cold brew is their specialty, but it's all so yummy. Chais, lattes, flat whites, frappes, they've got it all. And they are incredibly fast! I came here for a second time yesterday at the Brentwood farmers market and was so disappointed. My first time was a few months ago and I hoped it was a fluke or new business problems but yesterday was the same. There are only two people working when there should be three, unless they start moving faster (neither has any sense of urgency). The person taking orders stops in between each order to help make drinks but somehow each drink seems to take 5-10 minutes. The man who I assume owns the business is getting supplies out of the truck and moving things around seemingly the whole time. You can count on waiting in like for at least 20-30 minutes which is absurd for just coffee. If they had one person at the front and two making drinks, it would be much more of an expected wait time for coffee. read more

I want to preface this by saying the coffee was fine. Not the best, but it got the job done. The service? Really awful. I visited this coffee truck at the Brentwood Farmer's Market and stopped for coffee first thing. I ordered the coffee and was waiting for the second order and the barista (if we can call him that) placed the latte on the table, it "slipped" and fell on the ground, splattering my white Nike's with the coffee. But you know what? It happens. It's hard not to be upset but whatever it happens. The problem was, he continued to laugh and make jokes about spilling the coffee as he made a replacement, without seeming very apologetic. I had coffee all over my legs and shoes and was pretty pissed off waiting for the replacement coffee. The fact that he charged us for it just got me really annoyed. Not only was he continuously laughing and making jokes about spilling the coffee but also just seemed to not care at all and only care about making a sale.
