You need a lot of time to walk around and check everything out. I was on a limited schedule but was still able to find those fabulous shoes. I got a $98 pair of shoes for $24.50. I was so happy about it and they are so comfortable. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Next time I'm in town, I will make sure to be able to spend more time at the store. I'm sure I could've found way more things that were right up my alley! It's in a beautiful shopping center and it's nice to walk around. Kudos to the staff for being so nice to us! I stopped in here for the first time recently for one reason. As a gift, I received one of those…read morePandora bracelets and one charm. (I'm allergic to nickel so I was hesitate to wear it, I tried it and since it's loose and not tight on my wrist, I think it would be okay.) At any rate, I can't see wearing the bracelet with just the one charm, so I thought I'd stopped in to look around. The store has some really cute jewelry, purses and bags, scarves, accessories, etc. Let me tell you, this place was really hopping! I spotted at least 5 sales people and around 8 or 10 customers. Not bad for a little shop in an outside "strip mall" type atmosphere. Actually, the store is quite bigger than it appears from the outside and, for the life of me, I can't remember what was here before this boutique. But I digress... I spot the jewelry counter where two sales women were waiting on customers. Both said that they would be with me in just a moment. However, noticing that the two customers both donned an extensive amount of jewelry and bracelets on each on arm, both wearing a Pandora bracelet choked full of charms....I decided this might take a while. So, I did what anyone else with the patience of toddler would do...I butted in. I asked, politely, the price range on the charms. The sales lady, who didn't seem to mind the interruption since the customer was busy looking through a gamut of charms, told me that the charms run $30 and up. Hmmm I was discouraged. She said that I could look around and when she was free, look over some charms with me. I said thanks, but I was in a hurry. She handed me a thick catalog of jewelry to take home with me. I have to give the store 4 stars for the following: cleanliness, friendliness of the staff, selection, and quality of the products. I can't really fault the boutique for my cheapness or lack of patience. I may be back to purchase something for myself when I have more time to look around or if I was looking for a special, unique gift.

This nostalgia is certainly part of the experience. Woolrich is a major label here. The focus is on outdoor life, with everything from boots to hats and everything in between. The woman helping us seemed to be a long term worker, or even part of ownership. She knew where everything was, what was on sale, and how to "sell." We were looking for clothing to deal with the unexpected cool weather for which we weren't prepared. Good fortune smiled, as they were having a sale on long sleeve cotton fleece zip ups. There are 2 large mirrors around the shop that have been reflecting images for decades and seemed to beautify the person standing before them. The black fleece looked a perfect fit, and with the discount, $25 seemed like a decent deal. While there, I also found a heavy wale corduroy shirt with button flap breast pockets that fit well. We put it in the bag. Martin's is not the cheapest outfitter, but the quality of the experience certainly equaled the quality of the merchandise, making it all worthwhile.

He hurt his wrist that day but didn't think it was too bad. When we returned the board he was convinced he wanted to be snowboarder now and he rented the board through their bring back program for the rest of the season. Well, his wrist continued to hurt and we got X-rays. His wrist was broken and he could not snowboard the rest of the season. We called Thrifty and spoke to Ellen the owner. She understood our situation and refunded the additional money he paid for the season. Since he was spending his own money, that meant a lot to him and to me. I can highly recommend Thrifty.

While walking through the town I suggested we stop at Betsy's as I saw people carrying their shopping bags. An employee came out and grabbed the OPEN sign and turned it to say CLOSED, I said "Oh your closing?" she said "yes at 5:00" and shut the door in my face. What? Although the purchasing and several options were great, the overall experience was NOT appropriate. The owner managed to make inappropriate body comments for not only the bridal party but also the bride. What the heck? In what world is it okay to make comments about a stranger let alone your most important money maker - THE BRIDE. Getting ahold of the owner/having calls answered and returned was stressful and a hassle. We are in Small town PA, not LA or NY you can answer the damn phone, there isn't a line waiting to get in. Alterations that are almost always needed and should not be shouted throughout the store. This group had average size girls and petite girls. No matter what end over or underweight comments are not welcomed. The owners side stories talking down about her other brides/clients were also inappropriate. Talking about how the bride doesn't want to come for her fitting because she doesn't think the girl lost the weight she wanted to. My guess is the bride is trying to find a backup seamstress to get this lady off her back. The dresses looked great at the wedding however you can get great dresses everywhere, but you can't get great customer service everywhere and I can guarantee none of us will be returning. We also have advised other potential brides away from this location. Every body type, age, color is beautiful. Find somewhere who will appreciate your uniqueness and make what is one of the most exciting pieces of planning your wedding day just that - EXCITING!
