Great selection of items and I'm very happy with my purchase, but now I wish I would have purchased it elsewhere. When a box of lightbulbs was tacked on to my order, that I did not request, I didn't say anything at first because I figured it was a misunderstanding and I could just use them (my mistake-I should have spoken up). When I realized they were the wrong wattage for my dimmer and tried to return them, it ended up being the biggest hassle, AND they charged me a restocking fee! Not even mentioning the fact that they charged me about 4 times as much for these bulbs than anywhere else! I will not be taking anymore business here. Very disappointing. read more

I can't believe I didn't find them sooner-they have a wonderful selection of top quality lighting fixtures, and in our case, they helped us order the pendants I had selected online. The best part? Glen asked us the right questions, that even our electrician missed, and steered us to the proper canopy and other accessories and saved us the nightmare of having to return and replace until we got it right. Customer Service in this store is a joke. Walked in no hello from the store owner! We asked to turn a light on to see the sparkle (we are in the middle of a remodel and need lights for every room in our house) and he sighed so loud you would have thought there was a gust of wind. Then he starts complaining about his curre t customers and how he should never take a vacation. Lightopia has great lighting. I had a lot of help to find unique pieces for my contemporary home. They are excellent on this aspect. Do Not expect much help if something is wrong with your fixture. I had a fan that simply would not work with our system I had hoped they would help to get a refund for it but no... I have a fixture that keeps going out and again I have not received any help to have the manufacturer correct the issue. read more

I discovered this local lighting store about 6 months ago and finally made my first purchase- they had a chandelier that was exactly what I've been searching for and it is beyond amazing. Update on the update.... My light fixtures, unfortunately, had some additional problems. Ken (owner - Lightopia) found out there was a problem with that particular batch from the manufacturer. So he decided to replace all my light fixtures (!) and personally came today to re-install the new ones he had ordered for me (one by one!). I found a light online that was back-ordered on every other website, called LIGHTOPIA and spoke directly with the purchasing manager, who by some miracle was able to locate one they had in stock and included the light bulbs with my purchase! So happy with the service. Please don't waste your time on this store. I purchased two sconces from the store. They were the wrong size by six inches so I sent them back to the store. They said they would refund my money and shipping. After trying to contact them four different times with no response. I was stuck with no refund. Everything they have in the showroom is gorgeous and unique - plus they bend over backward to find what you really need if they don't have it. I have purchased lighting from them on two separate occasions and both times I have been met with the most unprofessional staff- sent wrong parts, delayed products, & (and was not told until I inquired several times), could not get a phone call back, misleading information.
