Great selection and low prices. Salespeople were very helpful. Bought a ceiling fan and some outdoor lights. Very happy

It rained all week during our annual Scituate vacation. With the final closing of our childhood hangout shop The Quarterdeck, we road-tripped in search of a new salvage-junk-used-thrift-stuff store. How lucky are we! We found it! Christine runs a tight salvage "ship" with her rabbit warren of rooms featuring clean, smart vignettes of items that transport buyers right into the setting of the glory days of her items. A shabby-chic cotton tablecloth over a vintage Formica kitchen table that is host to a collection of green milk glass and a pile of lusciously displayed fabric cooking aprons. A child's wagon full of clown figures from cloth to glass, just waiting for someone to pull them home (I opted instead for the awesome vintage metal bowl embossed with the depiction of a happy lobster!) A hardcover book from 1969 that claims to be "1000 Jokes For Kids" and yet showcases such gems as "Why are politicians like lobsters?" I'll tell you - because they both change color when they find themselves hot water! I bought it along with a 1949 volume "40 Rainy Day Games." A delightful little book where you can learn how to make a Susie Shy Label Doll. The adult kids in the family are delighted. Claudia also help me dig through Fiestaware, Blendo glass, record albums, vintage chairs and metal art, chenille bedspreads (Oh yes, ladies of a certain age who lolled dreamily on those flowered nubs while blue-eyed, puka-shell neckace wearing Bobby Sherman - our Justin Bieber - sang to us out of a record player way back when), lobster pots that catch lobsters and lobster pots that catch is cooked in, candlesticks, stained glass, crockery, old Polaroid cameras, almanacs, lamps, glass beads, old time sports pennants, local homemade honey (!), new candles and on. And on. The conversation is lively, like a corner barbershop and on my first visit I spent over an hour chatting with another customer about paperback books from the 70s, movies, Burt Reynolds, mustaches and whether or not I thought it may rain. Loved it! From mid-century metals to country primitive woods, Salvage Chic is a sorely needed floating, undulating retro island swimming strongly in an ocean where most small bookstores and groovy "junk shops" are no more than memories. Yet there really is no junk here. Everything is priced to sell and yet every item is truly priceless. I trekked my treasures back to Miami and when I finish this review, I will fill up my online cart. Because yes, Salvage Chic ships!

Although focused primarily on window treatments, this small Duxbury store provides full interior design consultation so your entire house can be customized to your personal tastes. We used them for several window treatments and could not have been happier with the results. LuAnn, the owner, and her staff are personable, professional, and exceptionally helpful. There is no snobbery here and certainly no sales pressure. They accommodated our busy schedules by pulling samples based on our initial discussions of likes and dislikes and delivering them to our home so we can take our time with reviewing each. Once selected, it took about 4 weeks to get everything made. They also measured and installed. Yes, you will have to pay for the service and quality. However, these are all customized items so they will be higher than popping into your local retail shop and buying them ready-made. The fantastic thing is that they will work with your budget, and they did not pass judgement when I had to restrict the prices of fabric for several of our windows. Our window treatments have come out beautifully, from the custom shutters to the fabric shades. We still have several shades and curtains on their way and I expect them to be just as fabulous. Everyone deserves a little luxury (even me!), and The Finished Window may be able to do it within your budget.

The manager Megan DeSilva talks right over you when trying to explain your concerns about your new furniture. THE $499 warranty does not cover returns, cannot be transferred if you give the chair to someone else (only applies to the original owner). Unfortunately it's a final sale. My husband had Reverse Shoulder replacement surgery on 12/30/25. He was very uncomfortable and really needed a recliner. I went to Lazy Boy in Plymouth, MA. Our sales lady, Jennifer was very attentive and helpful. I bought the Clayton lift/recliner. Three weeks later, the seat cushion is still very firm. It's like sitting on football stadium benches. He cannot sit in it for long periods of time. It's NOT COMFORTABLE. (I don't remember the floor model being like this but I'm sure it's been on the floor for years and is finally broken in). PLEASE READ THE POSTS ON THIS FACEBOOK GROUP! I WISH I had known about this group before my purchase on 1/3/26! If I saw comments I definitely would have thought twice about my purchase. REMINDER ITS A THREE DAY RETURN POLICY! That should be posted all over the store! I will definitely update my post regarding any support from the Lazy Boy Store in Plymouth or from the Corporate Office. I'm going to contact the Better Business Bureau of MA.

I told them how bad the replacement was. They said they don't see anything wrong with the original sagging rippling chair after 7 months and they weren't gonna do anything because a new one would just do the same thing . My 10-year-old recliner looks better. They should be ashamed treating their customers like this. I live in Maryland. Buyers beware. No matter what they say about the warranty, there is none. They simply don't care about their customers. They take your money and treat everyone badly.
