Lighting Zone is the store to go when it comes to lighting needs. We remodeled our kitchen six years ago and I found the perfect pendant for our kitchen island, which to this day we are enjoying. Last month, I was in need of a bathroom lighting fixture with specific requirements. On top of that, I needed it by the end of the day. A gentleman at the store, no less than the Vice President, patiently showed me all their bathroom lighting that may meet my requirements and guaranteed same day delivery. Delivery was backed up that day so when it got close to the promised time and their delivery person was still out, he personally delivered it to our residence so our worker could install it at the end of his last work day. Hello, I've been to the Lighting Zone on three occasions and all three have been fun to say the least. My first encounter was with Abe, pleasant, knowledgeable and patient are just a few of the qualities that made my visit painless. On my second visit I was assisted by Mac, Patient! Knew his inventory and really worked with me and guided to to the most appropriate products for my needs. Third visit was with Abe again, did I say pleasant, patient etc. I purchased fixtures from another company but only looked at the fixture not the light source, which is very important. I had a certain look in mind but couldn't achieve with the light source I initially picked, Abe patiently showed me at least 15 bulb options. He also sent me home with bulbs to try to see if I would be able to get the look I was striving for. These guys are solid, I know there are a couple of ladies working there also but I haven't had a opportunity to engage them yet. But I'm sure they are just as skilled. Honestly, i don't write many yelp reviews, but in this case it was a must. I can't say enough about the guys at Lighting Zone. I have a lighting fixture that came with the house I purchased. While it is a really nice piece the design isn't very user friendly and it's been problematic when trying to get replacement parts. Mak and the group at Lighting Zone have gone completely out of there way, and above and beyond what I would expect for any retailer. They even took it upon themselves to contact and work with the manufacturer to ensure that I was a satisfied customer. Now my living room looks better, and brighter, than ever. So, needless to say, I am. If you're a South Bay resident and have any lighting issues/needs, you'll be in good hands here. read more

If you need lighting fixtures for your home or office, this is the only place to go. Their selection is huge for a small store. But, it's the service and personal attention where they truly excel. Tamarie is a wonderful, helpful person, and Lighting Zone has always provided us with top-notch products and caring, professional service. We have used the store for lighting products since our first remodel over 15 years ago and have never been disappointed. Recently, I went in seeking small replacement bulbs for a post light we had purchased there. Tamarie went back and found what I needed immediately. When she returned, she apologetically said "I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to charge you $1.00 for each of these bulbs." Seriously? Great service! Stumbled into this place based on yelp reviews. We needed to replace an outdoor hanging light and found a great one here. The most impressive part about this place is that the gentleman helping us (Mak) offered to have the light we were considering dropped off at our home so that we could see if it would work for us. NO CHARGE. He even threw in some bulbs, and if we liked we could call him and pay for the light. I thought that was a nice touch. read more

It has been a long time since I've dealt with a business that offers such outstanding customer service, not to mention their prices are very competitive too. I live in Irvine, CA. Even though LZ is in Torrance, about 35 miles from me, I wouldn't go anywhere else when I have a lighting need. They bend over backwards to try to accommodate you. Any fixture that you can imagine, they'll get it for you. On my last purchase Mak sat with me for almost an hour in the store looking through books, answering questions, helping me decide. Then went out of his way to track down the piece from another retailer because it wouldn't be available from MFR. until mid-June. Then had it shipped directly to me no charge. It had a little flaw in and they took it back with a smile and nice words and went on to order me another one for June. Truly a professional operation. read more

My husband & I would like to give Mak Mashal a big thank you for repairing our Bel Air Fan socket (with no charge to us) because the company no longer manufactures this fan type socket. Years ago we did business with Lighting Zone when we renovated our home. We also installed several beautiful ceiling fans with attached lighting kits. We have used them for circulation and room lighting; but the lights have become occasionally erratic, requiring that we climb a ladder to wiggle the bulbs to get the lights to turn on. Investigation of the light fixtures suggested that the socket wiring connections were aging with heat and time. We wondered if the lighting attachments could be replaced, but the business no longer existed. We found that Hinkley had acquired the business and its inventory. But neither Hinkley nor various distributors or sellers that we contacted had the lighting parts or could repair the lights. Hinkley did suggest that it had compatible light kits, but no local supplier stocked them so that we could confirm a physical and color match. The original warranty was for the life of the fan motor. Hinkley said that our local Lighting Zone sold their products. When we contacted Lighting Zone, Mak Mashal there volunteered to talk to Hinkley about solutions. We quickly received two new Hinkley lighting kits which did fit our fans and matched appearance and color--at no charge. We hugely appreciate this surprising, fast, and friendly service by both Mak, at Lighting Zone, and Hinkley's response to him, and can highly recommend Lighting Zone. read more

Indeed, Mak Mashal, and his staff at Lighting Zone is as good as it gets. Their high rating on Yelp led me to the store with my broken 20 year old halogen wall lamp. Mak, the company VP, took care of me himself amid other staff dealing with other shoppers. Ideally, I hoped the lamp could be repaired, but accepted the possibility of replacement. Mak looked over the lamp and thought it could be repaired. Two days a later, I receive a call from Mak telling me it was functioning once again. He could have easily ignored the possibility of repair and sold me a new lamp; I would have needed two since they are used as a pair. To find someone that actually considers repair and taking care of the customer in this way is an unusual occurrence in 2018. This combined with fast job completion and a more than reasonable price, I have to agree with other reviewers; the Lighting Zone is the place to go for lighting. Great job, Mak, and team. read more

Great selection and service! First thing we noticed when we entered the store was the unique selection compared to other stores. We were just looking around, and we saw a couple chandeliers that we liked. The owner then offered us to try it at home to see if it will work for us without us even paying for it. We took up his offer, but unfortunately the chandeliers actually looked too good that it didn't match the rest of our house; would cost a fortune to upgrade all the decor of our house. Anyway, we ended up returning the chandeliers, and the owner was very nice about it. Didn't pressure me to buy anything else. We will consider going back when we are ready to upgrade our house. Another thing to note is that the prices are competitive. We compared the price quotes of the chandeliers we tried to other stores, and Lighting Zone beat the prices of all the other stores. We highly recommended visiting this store, and we have already referred some of our friends to this store. read more

I went in this store looked around for awhile and was completely ignored. I went to the front and it took awhile before someone actually talked to me. I called the Lighting Zone to discuss a replacement light fixture for our billiards table and Mak helped me finalize my selection and helped me get the right light bulbs for the table. He had the new Soraa MR-16 LED lightbulbs in stock and he arranged to deliver the new light fixture and bulbs to our home as it was on the way to his vendor's warehouse. We had to email back and forth a few times to finalize the order and discuss availability and he always replied right away. I was very happy with the special service I received at the Lighting Zone. Based on all the great Yelp reviews, we stopped in to see if they could replace an obscure light bulb for a Halloween pumpkin decoration. They took a look at it and went into the back storage room and came out with a new replacement bulb! They saved Halloween for us, because this Mickey and Minnie pumpkin decoration was the most festive part of our yard. I know if we had taken this request to a large lighting store, they wouldn't have even attempted to look for the unique replacement bulb we needed. This store also has beautiful light fixtures from Swarovski, Ralph Lauren and Waterford, so they are a customer service-driven small business, which is so refreshing these days. read more
