I am very happy with the help of choosing all of my bathroom hardware, mirror and lights products via zoom meeting and emails. I only showed them the marble pictures, and tiles that I wanted to buy and I got recommendations of the whole portfolio of the hardwares. The designer took 1 step more and recommended a paint color that I ended up loving and using it for other areas. All products were mailed out on time and packed very firm. Nothing was broken. I bought this modern ceiling fan from LB after given choices + price ranges. At the time of installation, my electrician said something was missing or broken so it wouldn't work so I called LB for help. The cust service rep was polite & knowledgeable. She said that it is best if I call the manufacturer directly cause I am the customer and will get a faster reply than her. She gave me all the product #, tel # and what to say. She said that she still can call for me but I will get the replacement part faster. So I called myself and the mfg sent the part within 10 days. but still the electrician can't make it work with the new part. I called LB again to ask for help. This time she said she will get me a replacement for the whole fan with the mfg. I got it within 2 weeks and this time it works. It looks and works good. I had purchased my formal dining chandelier from this establishment years ago and was extremely happy. So I went back about a week ago and found a beautiful chandelier for my entryway as well as my dining room table. When the installer whom was recommended by Jan came to install it he realized there were two pins missing. This is when my ordeal started. Jan is rude, doesn't listen. There is no way to reason with her!!! I am now dealing with Sarah who is polite and was promised she would have an answer by Monday. I've called everyday and still their representative has not given them an answer. I called today and Sarah isn't in and told Jan if she could call the rep. She started telling me she was old and couldn't take this pressure. That I was screaming at her. I asked to speak to the owner. She is refusing to let me talk to them. All I want is the parts that are missing. I told her that if they aren't provided soon, they can come pick up the chandelier. I have made my credit card company aware of the situation. Very poor communication once a problem arose. Tried to force me to take a delivery even after we agreed on a restocking fee. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BUSINESS! Jan is awesome. Don't know what these other reviewers are complaining about, but we've bought about $20,000 in light fixtures from here and never had a problem. She was always helpful in picking out lighting that would match our tastes and the layout of our home. She has a great electrician/contractor for installations and the results of the installs were flawless. One fixture that was installed had a factory defect (one light stem was slightly off-center), but Jan sent the contractor out, at no charge, the next day and he was able to correct it. We found this store when we needed a new fan for our bedroom & wanted something nicer than the ones you find at Home Depot or Lowe's. This place was awesome vs other alternatives in our 1960 area! Classy & updated selection & the sales team was knowledgeable & went beyond to get us what we needed! The store also had great other lighting & accessories items! Highly recommend them! Staff was rude and unwelcoming, dare I say racist. Went into the store and wasn't greeted by either ladies at their desk. As we walked around we noticed another customer walk in and the secretaries asked what they could help him with while barely assisting and and answering my questions. My husband and I wondered into this store looking for some lighting and plumbing fixtures for our home. We were helped by Jan, who was very friendly and gave some great advice. We spent over $4k. What Jan didn't mention, nor were there any signs posted, is that there are no refunds or exchanges. If you do try to return something, there is a 35% restocking fee. One of the faucets we received was faulty, it leaked when installed. We were asked to prove it with a video, and then questioned when the video wasn't to Jan's satisfaction. When we decided that we didn't want to move forward with the faucets (we ordered 3, received 2), we were told we had to pay a 35% restocking fee on all of them, even though one was faulty and one we never received. We also ordered 3 light fixtures. They were pretty, but cheaply made. Of course we can't return them. As my husband tried to work through this with Jan, she: refused to allow us to speak to the owner (she said it wasn't worth the owner's time), she mocked my husband (in front of our daughter and other customers) and refused to answer phone calls (she would only text). She told my husband he was "terrorizing" her, because he kept calling, trying to get her to talk through this on the phone. They have signs posted on their front doors, asking people to buy local and not to buy online. The service we received at this privately owned shop is exactly why people go to big box stores and shop online. I can buy most of the same stuff on Amazon, and can return it without question. Their business practices are questionable at best. Buyer beware - they are very friendly until something goes wrong. Then good luck. read more

Fantastic place for modern or contemporary lighting fixtures. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are very reasonable and the selection is vast but not overwhelming. I purchased 3 different lighting fixtures that would have been well over $1500 at their closest competitor just a few stores down for just over $700. They also have a very nice array vanities and stunning faucets in the adjoining space. I would highly recommend at least checking this place out before settling for the same old pieces you find at Home Depot or Lowe's. You may spend slightly more but you will get so much better pieces. read more

We called to ask them a question and they told us come in and they would help it was a 30 min drive we get there and they were rude and aggressive and unwilling to help!!!! After we asked why did she tell us to come down to her place of business if they were not going to be willing to help us she told us we were making things up! And started to quote the Bible! All the employees are super helpful and the owner is super nice. They seem to cram a bit of everything into a small showroom and the first thing they tell you is if they don't have it, they will get it. Update 7/19/2019 - Earlier this year (around February) I contacted Carol's Lighting directly about the issue. The owner of Carol's Lighting was very nice explained the issue and told me they offered to just refund the full amount for the light fixtures since they too where having the same issue with the fixtures on their floor. They told me they would refund Lighting Boutique and in turn Light Boutique could refund me. Prefect solution! But....Lighting Boutique did not come to me with this solution at all. I had to chase them down for the next few weeks after my discussion with the Carol's Lighting owner. Moral of the story... I will absolutely buy from Carol Lighting... as they want to do the right thing where issues come up. I will not recommend Lighting Boutique to anyone. If I could give less than a 1 star I would in a hot second. Jan @ Lighting Boutique was rude & unprofessional. So much so I started video tapping her on my cell phone behavior every time I went to the store to get attempt to pick up my my refund. SHOCKING behavior.... Stay away! read more
