The food is a bit pricy but was very good with decent portions. Lobster roll had a lot of lobster, in a fresh soft bread. The medium rare steak and eggs seem to need some sort of sauce. It was plain but was Ok. Potatoes were good and seasoned well. Parking was plentiful during a weekday. It has its own lot, with paid parking through the app or kiosk. There's indoor and outdoor seating, but indoors was pretty crowded, so we decided it would be niceer to sit on the outdoor patio with great views of the sand, water, and boats. Ordered the Seafood Omelette and Avocado Toast, and both were very well prepared, good sized portions, and very yummy.....was actually quite pleasantly surprised that my omelette was filled with big chunks of real, juicy, and plump lobster meat and good sized shrimp. All the ingredients used were very fresh, well prepared, and we enjoyed it all along with the wonderful views and relaxing beach ambiance. Service was pretty good, but the place got so busy that we found it hard to flag down our server. Unfortunately, what kind of ruined our meal though was being seated an outdoor patio table right next to a gas fire pit.....smelling gas with our food just wasn't very pleasant at all....unfortunately, the place was pretty full so we couldn't change tables. I came on a Thursday morning for brunch and got the lobster sando along with bottomless mimosas. There was no wait when we came in, and there was a parking lot in the front. They gave us the option to choose whether we wanted to sit inside or outside because it was pretty quiet. Our server was super sweet; she was very attentive to us. It was my birthday, and she gave me ice cream beignets. Overall, I had a great time spending my birthday here! I would say the only thing to look out for is that anyone can talk to you outside on the outdoor seating. Someone came up to us from the beach and did not say many nice words to us. Lighthouse is a restaurant located a block from the Newport sandy beach and is next to the dock/park. The restaurant itself seems to have a lighthouse itself, which makes this a very unique location. There's a parking lot and street parking available. However? Both require payment and there's no validation. This area seems to be frequently patrolled, so be sure to actually pay for parking to avoid fines. This seems to be a very popular brunch spot. I tried a few things. Firstly was the beignets, interpreted as a (I think) fried, flaky dough drizzled with a glaze and topped with a few raspberries. It was dry, not very sweet, and didn't feel like a true beignet. Secondly was the eggs Benedict - the egg was not runny, there wasn't a lot of hollandaise sauce, and the cured meat's saltiness overpowered the other ingredients flavors. Lastly, the Brazilian steak sandwich. I really wanted to like it, but the steak was burnt and bland. The steak wasn't seasoned with enough salt or flavors in general. One half of the sandwich completely tasted burnt, and there were some pieces that literally were burnt. Some folks may love charred flavors, but this time it felt like too much. Overall, Lighthouse is a prime location restaurant. I'd love to give their brunch another try in the future. read more

From cocktails, sweet breakfast, savory entrees and the like. Fell for the amazing photos on Yelp and opted for a cup of clam chowder, a lobster roll and the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes to share. There was actually a mistake by the kitchen and was given a bowl of clam chowder, though charged for a cup. Our server was kind enough, to leave it be when made aware. I'm not complaining, because the chowder was delicious! The perfect consistency and served alongside oyster crackers. The lobster roll is a must-get if you are a fan. The roll itself was pillowy, yet substantial to hold the generous amount of lobster. The lobster was well cooked, not rubbery and sweet. Simple and classic! Served with housemade chips and melted butter on the side, though I wished they at least served something else too like a slaw. The lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes were amazing, definitely made for a perfect sweet "dessert" at the end of our meal. Piping hot, fluffy pancakes completely topped with a marscapone cream sauce and blueberry coulis. Service was prompt and always had our empty dishes cleaned up and waters refilled. Interior was not as loud as I had expected to be, as it is a bit small on the inside. There is also outside/patio seating if preferred. Cute place for brunch or small lunch alone or with friends. This was the PERFECT cap to our beach day! My wife and I wanted a late snack but ended up going for two entrees! The lighthouse had a nice interior but the outside patio was wonderful on a beautiful summer day. We got the fish and chips and the lobster roll to share. The fish had a nice panko type crust that was very nice not thick typical batter but lighter which let the fish shine thru. The fries were great seasoned well with garlic. The lobster roll was perfect, it was not over stuffed but the lobster in it was so buttery and amazing. The chips were housemade daily and great. I grew up going here and their breakfast is very yummy! I went here for dinner for the first time and I got the Budi's butter fish and it was so sweet I couldn't eat it. It tasted like it was drenched in sugar. Not good at all! I usually like sweet things too but this was just overly sweet. I thought it was going to be a light cream sauce... I was wrong! Their clam chowder on the other hand was to die for! Very good! Their drinks here were very good too and my friend ordered the fettuccini and that was very tasty! There was a dead fly inside the lettuce ( I believe wedge salad) As I opened it, I noticed it wasn't washed, saw debris in there like dried soil. The server was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious... The **crispy calamari** is perfectly fried with just the right amount of seasoning; it's a must-try! Ask for extra dipping sauce!! The **warmed lobster roll** is perfect, with chunks of lobster stuffed in a buttery brioche, with a warm butter sauce to drizzle on top, offered a taste of seafood heaven. The homemade chips that come with the lobster roll were made to perfect, you definitely don't want to sleep on those. The **lobster mac and cheese**-wow!!!!! So creamy, cheesy, and rich with fresh lobster. I appreciate the fresh grated cheese on top and the different type of pastas used, outside of the normal macaroni. The **scallop wontons with avocado mash** are an absolute revelation. I was unsure on what to expect, as I had a completely different idea to what the scallop wantons would look and taste like. Went here for lunch on a Monday. Plenty of seating inside and out. Parking requires a permit from a machine in the center of the lot. Ordered the Chicken and Waffles & Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich was slightly spicy and sweet with pickles and coleslaw. The Waffles were delicious and came with a topping of bacon. The maple syrup was served hot and on the side. Our server was Angel and he did a great job making sure our drinks were replenished and we had everything we needed. We sat on the patio. The weather was on the cool side, but there were plenty of table side fire places and heating towers to keep warm. For an appetizer we had the calamari which was delicious (can tell how good a restaurant is by their calamari), so I was looking forward to the seafood omelet as my main course. As expected, the omelette was great, seafood tasted good and the english muffin and potatoes were also great sides to the dish. Finished off with some cinnamon beignets that were sprinkled with raspberries and they were good, almost tasted like toasted strudels which is a W in my book. Overall 8.2/10, would come again. I honestly had high hopes for this place, looking at the pictures and seeing TikTok reviews. I planned this place for my friends surprise birthday, but unfortunately, they were short staffed so it took about 40 minutes before we got our food. The surprise I had for her didn't really work out the way I wanted it to because the instructions I gave the staff weren't necessarily followed concretely, making things confusing and making me explain repeatedly what to do. It also took a long time before we got our bill, so it kind of made us uncomfortable, knowing that we could just leave it any second, but obviously we did stay. The staff were really nice though!! We ordered garlic bread, there was a hair in it that didn't belong to us and they immediately brought out a new hairless one for us. The drinks were delish, I got a watermelon martini and it was great, my friend got the ocho paloma and it was a bit too strong for a paloma, but hey! some people might prefer that, she however, drank it like she was taking multiple shots. Clam chowder is a must!!!! The grilled artichoke took me by surprise, I didn't know it would be served like that, that was a learning experience. It was yummy with the aioli! The chicken sandwich was way too good for its own good with perfectly crispy fries.
