I love lemon & raspberry. The cupcake was called, Spring Fling. It was a lemon cake, with Raspberry cream cheese frosting and a raspberry filling. The cake was moist and soft. Most importantly, the frosting was not overly sweet and did not overly dominant the cake. It was just the perfect amount of topping. The lady working the counter was attentive and made friendly conversation. Our intention was to try a few of the different specialty cake/bakery stores in the Springfield, IL area, but after meeting Dena and tasting her incredible cupcakes, there was no need. She had the most delicious freshly baked cupcakes waiting for us and was very helpful on design ideas and budget needs. So affordable! She truly cared about what we wanted and I was impressed with how fun and welcoming her bakery is. It is as colorful as she is! I have so many things to stress about leading up to the wedding, but this is not one of them! The venue is on the northwest side of Springfield and she was more than happy to deliver and set up everything at our venue, we just have to sit back and wait for the goodies to arrive! You may think this combo sounds weird, but you'd be wrong. :) The mini waffle was freshly made. The ice cream was cinnamon flavored with snickerdoodle cookies mixed in. The raspberry topping was real fruit purée. Put that all together and you have a great combination and delicious dessert. We look forward to a return visit to try some of the other sweet treats.
