This place was really founded at the Alton farmers market. All of Alton knows that woman knows how to bake!!! If you feel like you want a special treat but want it to be extra special? The 5$ bag of chocolate chip cookies I grabbed was orgasmic. So clearly homemade, buttery and honestly "perfect" in my book. And I eat too many cookies. The food was fresh and homemade. Corn beef hash was wonderful, excellent meat. Atmosphere is very sweet and the place is very clean. You should stop in to eat their food but remember they always have a bakery section with great homemade bread and excellent sweets- so a drop in works too. Service was great. I am already overweight and since I discovered Three Crows Bakery, I'm pretty sure I am going to stay overweight and perhaps put on even a few more pounds. My first visit was fairly close to closing time, so I just grabbed a couple of their pastries and went on my way. One of them that I grabbed was a, Strawberry Postcard. It's a buttery house-made puff pastry with strawberry filling and vanilla glaze. I was in love after the first bite. This is one postcard I would love to receive on a daily basis. The other pastry I tried was, Jelly Donut Focaccia Bread. It's a big square (can be shared) of lightly sweetened focaccia bread filled with seedless raspberry jam and topped with vanilla bean glaze. It taste just like a jelly donut. I am not a fan of jelly donuts, but this has me rethinking my likes and dislikes. It's a winner. My second visit, has me reevaluating my choices of breakfast out. When I arrived, every table was taken They have limited seating, two deuce tables and three that can seat four diners. Hopefully when the true warmer weather arrives, they add a few tables to the outside in front of the restaurant. Since there was no table, I got my food to go and enjoyed it before starting work. I ordered their Basic Breakfast which has, two eggs any style, fried potatoes, meat of choice and either Sourdough Toast or a Biscuit. I had my eggs scrambled and since their sausage is patty, I choose that as my meat. I was impressed that the sausage was hand pressed and not the typical perfectly shaped disc. It had a true country flavor to it. I also liked how my scrambled eggs were white & yellow. So many diners whip them until they are only a light yellow. They were perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper. For my bread, I went with the Sourdough Toast, because I also ordered B&G. The toast was lightly toasted, I would have liked mine a little darker, but the Jalapeño Jelly kicked ass. I want an entire bottle of that stuff. The Biscuits and Gravy would make any Grandma or farmers wife proud. I grew up on a farm and I can tell you, these are some of the best B&G's I have ever had. The biscuits are huge, fluffy and they were drowning in a rich brown sausage milk gravy. My eyes were way bigger than my already big tummy. I felt guilty not cleaning my plates, but my taste buds still did a happy dance. Their staff is friendly, my first visit the young gentleman on my first visit was kinda shy and quiet. However, the young lady on Saturday, knew customer service and was working that front counter like a champ. Three Crows is closed Monday and Tuesday. I'm confident I'll be back on Wednesday to try something new and different. Their hours are 6 AM till 2 PM, Wednesday thru Sunday. I stopped by Three Crows Bakery and was seriously impressed. I picked up the maple oat loaf, and it was everything you want in bread...incredibly moist with a tender crumb and just the right density. The maple flavor was warm and natural, not overly sweet....and the oats added a subtle nuttiness and hearty texture that made each bite feel wholesome but still indulgent. It tasted fresh out of the oven! I also ordered the fried chicken biscuit. The chicken itself wasn't super crispy on the outside, but it was still tender and flavorful. It could've used a little more seasoning to really elevate it, but I would absolutely order it again for the biscuit alone...it was that good! The biscuit was buttery, fluffy and perfectly golden on the outside with a soft, pillowy inside. It held everything together beautifully without falling apart. The maple aioli really brought it home! The Strawberry Postcards (they describe as...buttery, flaky puff pastry filled with sweet strawberry filling and topped with a smooth vanilla glaze) were without a doubt one of the best danishes/puff pastry I've ever had. It's like a pop tart married a classic Danish and had the most delicious baby. Everything felt thoughtfully made with quality. I will definitely be going back to work my way through the entire menu. I'm so glad to see there's now a way to review this spot! I checked it out a few weeks ago and my spouse and I were seriously impressed. He got the breakfast sandwich with jalapeño jelly and declared it his new favorite breakfast sandwich. I got the chicken breakfast sandwich with maple butter and it was delicious. The biscuits are fluffy and buttery, the chicken is juicy, and everything is so flavorful. In the weeks since, I've tried a few things, and my most favorite is the sweet potato and turkey sausage hash. Fantastic! This is a small eat-in restaurant that is extremely clean. I walked in after working out at Club Fitness and ordered a carry out lunch to share with my husband. We shared the chicken Caesar salad (delish) and the Sloppy Irishman sandwich (delish). Oh my goodness. The focaccia bread ? Yum. The food? Super yum. We will definitely be regular customers. I contacted the bakery about an issue I had with something I bought .. I went today to get my item which was two apple post cards and omggggg let me tell you , nothing I've had from any other bakery has or ever will compare to this pastry. the dough is so flaky and just a great chew. that apple filling (which I'm pretty sure is made in house) omgg it is like a apple pie but way better . I don't even really know how to describe it except to tell you to get your behinds over to this bakery and just buy everything you can , you definitely won't be disappointed. read more

An awesome breakfast! Wonderful service, helpful recommendations that did not steer us wrong. You can taste the home-made care for ingredients in the baked goods. My friends and I discovered this wonderful little family owned cafe. Homemade breads, pastries and jams. I had the best scrambled eggs and homemade sourdough toast. The prices are reasonable and the service is over the top. Very friendly staff. read more

Mom Pop and Son joint with super friendly counter gal. Breakfast Burrito best I've had in metro area. The muffins are killer and place super clean. Have driven over from North County 4 times in past two months. Large portions also. We eat breakfast out everywhere this place is worth the drive. read more
