That is a good and a bad thing. It's good for their bottom line and a bad thing for my waistline and weight. At least when I walk there, I am burning some of the calories I will consume. During the week, I enjoy stopping by and grabbing a pastry or two. It's hard to only buy one, when they have so many to choose from. I then continue on my way and enjoy a Blueberry Scone or Raspberry Lemon Cannoli at my leisure later in the day. When it's the weekend, that is when I dine in and enjoy the full experience of LuciAnna's. I either take a patio table which is pet friendly, or a relaxing table inside the charming dining room. I order at the counter and get my table marker, so they know where I am seated. It brunch time, so that also means it is Bloody Mary time. I always have mine with a cup of black coffee chaser. The two balance each other out. My two favorite entrees are; Waffles or anyone of their Benedicts. Seriously, you cannot go wrong with either of them. Plus, you gotta get an order of the, Million Dollar Bacon. Service is always top notch and attentive. You'll enjoy the tea room atmosphere.

But without the bed lol. You walk into a counter, which is also where you order and pay, and where the baked goods are displayed. Server was kind and asked how they could help me and I was confused and thought maybe I went in the wrong entrance lol. The dining area is not visible from the counter. I said I would like to dine in, they took my order at the counter, and directed me to the dining area, which is to the right of the counter past a living space. The dining area is a small, quiet room, which I really enjoyed. Everything was clean, service was great, they were attentive but not overbearing. Price was appropriate. This place is definitely a hidden gem.

Now that they are back and in a better and larger space, this makes me a happy man. When they announced they were coming back, I started following them on FB so I stayed informed and knew when they were opening. I swung by on the opening day and enjoyed some Avocado Toast and a Mimosa. Them having a liquor license to offer Mimosas and Bloody Marys is A+ for me. Brunch or a late breakfast is not complete without an adult beverage. In addition to my Avocado Toast which was excellent, I picked up a few sweet treats for friends. I got a brownie for one friend and a Cinnamon Roll for another. Both were well received, but the one who received the Cinnamon Roll, wrote me a thank-you note. Now that really says something when you get a written note for a sweet treat. Dolci's is conveniently located to my home and my part-time job. Actually, it is just across the street from my job, so I know where I'll be stopping on the days that I work. Oh, before I forget, the Macaroons here are amazing. Now that I told you that, you need to go and experience Dolci's Cafe and Bakery for yourself.

I loved that they whip the avocado and just don't slice it and put it on a piece of toast. My latte and toast made for a perfect light breakfast. Of course, before I left I had to buy a container of Chicken Salad. Typically I don't like grapes in my chicken salad, but theirs is an exception. The red grapes and the seasoning, makes it a real treat. I also had to grab, an Apple Fritter and Blueberry Muffin. They were my breakfast for the next two days. The customer service is exactly what you'd expect from a small town bakery. It's friendly and down-home.

I normally get the Lion Tamer which has jalapeños on it, but today I went with a King Louie. It's a single smash burger and I added cheese. My topping were only pickles, lettuce, onion and a smear of mayo. I had them hold the tomato. I'm not a fan of mayo, but for some reason I like it on my burgers here at King Louie. The edges of my burger were crisp, it had an odd shape so you know it was hand pressed. It explodes with flavor, just like an old time 50's drive-in. The fries are equally impressive. They are super crispy and done to order, no fries sitting under a hot light waiting to be served. What impresses me is they are fries that still have their skins on. For me, that just adds flavor. Of course, the main attraction next to their amazing burgers is the refreshing homemade, Root Beer. It is always the perfect accompaniment to a burger and fries.
