I had happened to ask him if he had ever installed lights in something that did not originally have lights. He is an amazingly talented so it yourself person who actually used to own his own hardware store; so I knew he would have guidance for me. Ends up he had great guidance....He told me to go to LED USA and describe my project to them, and so I did. I had brought home a leaded glass curio cabinet from 1880 and wanted to add lights without compromising the integrity of the piece. I never thought I'd say this in regards to lights, but it really is the last place you'll need to look. I called a couple other places and they said they had what I needed, but they didn't sound very certain about it. I needed something very specific - a narrow spot light that was a point source - and they said, "yeah, we have it." Then when I repeated what I needed, she said, "Yeah, we should have something that works." So I called Lights Fantastic and talked to Joe and he said, "I have at least one bulb that fits that description, we definitely have something that will work." So, since I didn't have a lot of time to dilly dally, I went straight to the store. First off, you'll walk into the showroom and it's for all the fixtures. Light fixtures everywhere. I needed the bulb section, so they sent me down the ramp there and in there are just shelves and displays of bulbs. Every bulb you can imagine. For good prices too. We bought some specialty bulbs at Home Depot for $12.99 only to find them here for $8.99. I was amazed. On to the bulb, I needed a point source bulb and I thought I needed a narrow spot, but it turned out that the bulb I chose was a flood. I did need to block out some of the reflector, but the center section was a point source and it fit my application perfectly. We probably looked at about 6 different bulbs before we came across this one and Joe was patient and extremely helpful. I can't say enough good things about this place. It was exactly the help I needed and I got the bulb I needed. You need lights? Fantastic. You've found your place.

We installed an island hood vent in the middle of my kitchen and the two existing (incredibly-lovely, but large) pendant lights no longer went with the sleek new look of the brushed stainless hood vent. I knew I wanted something more special than just a Big Box lighting solution, and was willing to pay what it took to find just the right look. So I spent hours (and hours!) on the internet, trying to find something I liked that would go with the hood vent AND the rest of my decor. I even got my husband to look... a lot of internet time spent, but nothing jumped out. On a whim, I took photos of my kitchen situation and trotted over to Meletio to see what they could suggest. The receptionist was lovely and immediately asked me what I needed. Overwhelmed by the unique fixtures in the showroom, I decided to browse a bit, to see if I could find something on my own. Wow. What fun lighting! And at all price points... something for everyone, if you will. Anyway, I settled on some creative canned lighting and waited at the back desk for help. In fairness, all the guys there were busy... so I decided to toddle back over to the decorative lighting and ask for help. I asked the receptionist for a lighting consultant who might have some suggestions for my kitchen. She introduced me to Jessica Almany. Boy, was I lucky!! Jessica listened carefully as I described what I was looking for, showed her the canned lighting I thought might work, and went over the pictures of my kitchen and adjoining room on my phone. Then Jessica went to work... This is the reason why I am taking the time to write this review: Out of the (literally) thousands of possible lighting solutions/fixtures, Jessica nailed it on the very first one she pulled up on her computer. And best yet, it wasn't one I would have thought of... but looking at her suggestion, I thought "of course! That's perfect!!" What are the chances of that happening? Even better yet, it was much, much less $$ than what I thought I would have to spend. The two pendant lights Jessica suggested have been ordered, picked up, and installed. They honestly look better than I could have either envisioned or hoped for. Jessica, my dear, you have a true gift... had I known, you could have saved me hours and hours from a multi-day but fruitless internet search. Oh, and Jessica was very helpful and creative on a number of other lighting and electrical issues I need solved around the house (like what kind of additional electrical outlets would work in the kitchen). Apparently, Jessica works with a number of the home builders around town, so she is very up on new trends and technology. (Hint: if you want to do something electrical in your existing home that you never thought was possible, stop by to see what's new... there are so many recent technical innovations that solve age-old electrical problems.) You better believe I'll be back to Meletio Lighting again (and again and again).
