Light Breeze Dental was a fantastic dental office that I've been going to for 4-5 years while I was in Irvine. If I hadn't moved out of Irvine, I see myself continuing to be a patient at this office for the far forseeable future. The office is clean and the staff are extremely caring and accommodating. I generally didn't have anything beyond a regular cleaning and periodontal deep cleaning but I was basically in-and-out every time, no delay, no upselling procedures. They also offer to let you watch Youtube/Netflix during your appointment if you prefer that. I strongly recommend others to consider this office as their next dental caretaker. I decided to make this review as a farewell, at least until I possibly move back into Irvine in the future. Hope whatever local dentist I end up at is even a fraction of the quality as Light Breeze Dental. read more

I visited Dr. Nikolay Sky at Light Breath Dental to replace a filling that had fallen out. After taking an X-ray, the office scheduled the follow-up appointment for three weeks later. When I returned, Dr. Sky filled three other teeth but completely overlooked the tooth with the missing filling--the original reason I came in. I had to remind him about the initial issue, and even after he finally refilled that tooth, the new filling fell out immediately when I flossed. He redid the filling the next day, but I'm concerned about the quality and durability of his work. Now, not only did that filling fail initially, but I'm also experiencing problems with all of the other fillings he worked on. I've been advised that I need to have them all refilled elsewhere. This experience makes it seem like the practice is more interested in billing my insurance than delivering quality dental care. Unnecessary fillings, poor workmanship, and the need to redo everything has left me extremely disappointed. I would not recommend Light Breath Dental based on this experience. read more

Went with no pain, left with persistent pain and discomfort. Full story below. I initially went in because I noticed that there was a dark spot next to an old filling. I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and to get X-Rays. The cleaning was fine and when asked if I had pain or discomfort near my previous filling I told them no. Dr. Zoya initially came in and was pleasant. She explained fillings get old and she just needed to remove and refill the filling. Easy. But here is when the trouble began. I returned for the filling and I experienced pain and discomfort during the procedure. Dr. Zoya kindly stopped, re-administered the anesthesia, waited a bit, and got back to work. I still felt discomfort after that but do not fault them for it because I never vocalized it. I do fault them, however, with how they did the filling. Towards the end of the filling she was adjusting the bite and having my bite down on the paper to see where the filling was high. She had me do this several times until, out of frustration, she shaved down fillings from my top molars! Mind you, the filling she was working on was at the bottom. She had me bite down again and the filling was still showing some high spots. She just said I should come back and have my bite adjusted if needed. NO. If I'm making time out of my day to go, it needs to be done right the first time. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt and went home. Later that night, I was in so much pain. I could hardly drink or eat anything on that side. I knew something was off. I made an appointment, went back in, and told her my concerns. She proceeded to explain that my sensitivity might be because I had receding gums and the root was showing. Wild. My gums did not recede in the span of 24 hours. The only thing that had changed was the horrible filling she did. She proceeded to shave down more of the filling and sent me on my way. This time I let a week go by. I was still in pain, but noticeably less. I went back and this time I had Dr. Nikolay. He checked out my teeth and noticed THERE WAS EXPOSED DENTIN BECAUSE THE FILLING DIDNT COME DOWN FAR ENOUGH!! He called her in, showed her, and then "fixed" the filling. He tried reassuring me that it was a good filling that just didn't come down far enough. No way. It was a horrible filling because a good one wouldn't have left me in pain. Towards the end of the filling he was adjusting the bite and AGAIN just filed down fillings at the top of my mouth!!! I now experience pain in the top molars where they both filed down. They should have just fixed the filling they did and left my others alone. I've been to many dentists and non in my life have ever done this. Now, the filling they did hurts when I chew and the top two fillings they just sanded down sting when I eat. I will never ever ever go back. Avoid at all costs. Their good reviews are a lie. Their office contacts individuals to correct reviews. Do yourself a favor and go find a better dentist. read more

"Your new tooth looks like a million bucks!" This is exactly what a friend said to me recently. It has been a couple of months now and I'm still in shock - speechless and thankful! Here's the scenario that started it off - hopefully, no one else will ever have this happen to them, but if it does, let this letter serve as a reminder of where you must go to get the resolution. The bottom line in this is that I am very thankful to be a patient of Light Breeze Dental located at 2500 Alton Pkwy #203, in Irvine, CA 92606 for several years now. Here's one of the reasons why: During the first week of October 2023, I bit into a piece of pizza like you normally do. In an instant, a front crown that had been placed decades ago unexpectedly broke and that's when reality quickly set in. My concerns were further multiplied because the very next week, I was scheduled to begin speaking face-to-face with clients over the next several months, enrolling them in life and health insurance coverages for 2024. I knew I was in big trouble since there was no way I was going to be able to function with a missing front tooth! So, I called Light Breeze Dental and spoke to the office receptionist Diana. She was extremely attentive as I explained my predicament to her. This was on Thursday, October 5, 2023. She asked me if I could come into the office at 4:00 PM that day. I replied, "Absolutely!" Diana was very professional yet was also caring and understanding of my exact situation at the same time. At a little before 4:00, I arrived and sat in the waiting room for only a very short time when I was called to the back by Diana. She indicated the room where I took a seat in the dental chair. Again, I didn't wait long until Dr. Nikolay Sky, DDS came in to examine my tooth (Or what was left of it). I had met Dr. Nikolay Sky once or twice before but only briefly since my usual dentist was his wife, Dr. Zoya Sky, DDS. They are a "power couple" in the world of family dentistry! So, I was unsure how everything was going to play out as I contemplated the various scenarios (In my limited knowledge) Dr. Sky may recommend gaining a resolution to the predicament I now found myself in. He examined my tooth for a minute and casually announced that he could build the rest of a tooth over the base of the tooth that was left. I said, "Great!" I then cautiously asked him if I needed to make another appointment, simultaneously hoping I wouldn't have to go on for much longer with a missing tooth. To my utter surprise, Dr. Nikolay Sky told me that he could accomplish the repair right then, late on a Thursday afternoon! The Light Breeze Dental office is closed on Fridays, so this was truly amazing to me - and I was very, very thankful, to say the least. Before I knew it, the procedure began with Dr. Sky's assistant, Alicia, assisting him. What a great lady Alicia is! I met her many times during my visits to the dental office as she routinely assists both Dr. Skys. Dr. Sky and Alicia worked perfectly together and all I did was keep my mouth open wide so they could do their best work. And their BEST work, they certainly did! The dentist and his assistant barely spoke to each other during the entire procedure, which was in itself amazing. They were like a highwire act, working with complete precision and confidence. My story and great experience with both Drs. Sky, Alicia, Diana, and the entire Light Breeze Dental Office team are still as fresh today as they were a couple of months ago. And to have my friend unequivocally state that my new tooth looks like a million bucks put the proverbial "icing on the cake" and made me feel like a "million bucks!" I was sooo nervous to get my first two cavities (which she found!) filled and it was by far the easiest dental experience I've ever had! Been going to Dr. Sky for years now and so has my entire family. TLDR: Expert doctors, reasonable prices, very honest, would never try to upsell or do any procedure just to make a buck. I have been going to lightbreeze for a decade if not longer. They are truly some of the most sincere, honest and really intelligent doctors I know. They are thorough. Both doctors will perform a health screening at every exam and check for lymph node enlargement. ( even at the routine cleaning) as well as other related cancer screening. Our family has done a huge spectrum of work with them from cleaning to root canals and have seen all the staff. From every step they are thorough and caring. I have a low tolerance for pain and they have always accommodated me and been gentle. Dr. Sky has never ever tried to upsell me on a procedure or recommend a filling that wasn't absolutely necessary. There was atime in my life that I didn't have dental insurance and they were able to accommodate me and their front office staff tried to accommodate me with a fair pricing. This is THE BEST dentistry in Orange County hands down! I went to 5-6 other dentists in the last year and every single one of them wants to make money off of you as quickly as possible and forget you existed. I came here today and my god it was the best dental experience ever. Came in, they saw me right a way, Dr. Zoya Sky went over my xrays with such detail showing me everything she saw and explained how we need to fill in/fix few cavities etc. She then cleaned my teeth meticulously. I was so shocked, because I have never had my teeth cleaned by a doctor, its was the assistance and the doc just checks the work after. She asked me how I brushed my teeth at home and then went over the proper way of brushing and flossing so I can get every space between my teeth. I appreciated that so much! I have been coming in to see Dr. Nikolai Sky ever since they start their practice here ( more than 7 years at least). He is really good at what he does. Besides regular cleaning, I have had a couple of cavities filled as well. Regardless of the procedure, both Drs (my wife sees Dr. Zoya) are meticulous, detailed oriented and do great work. They are very pleasant to talk to; they take the time to explain and are not in a rush at all. They do not recommend unnecessary procedures or try to market things you don't need. Can't recommend them enough! You won't be disappointed! P.s. even their other staff over the years have been very good. Scheduling is a snap; they have brought in iPads and online check-ins over the years and definitely improved their processes. They seem to care about their business, which is a good sign. read more
