I contacted Freedom Lifts regarding a Stairlift for my Mom who was coming from rehab after a fall in her home to stay with me. There were so many things to do and I didn't know anything about stairlifts. Freedom Lifts put me at ease immediately. From the first phone call with Jen to the free in home evaluation and installation, with Sean ,everyone at Freedom Lifts was kind and professional. I have to say this company is absolutely a nightmare. Each salesperson and technician I talked to had NO knowledge about their products, and I honestly think I know more from my brief online research than any information they attempted to convey to me. Normally I don't get too upset about how salespeople interact, but everyone I dealt with was rude and acted like they were doing me a favor even acknowledging my presence. Obviously when you are buying a stairlift, you are seeking assistance, and as someone who had never bought one before, I just wanted to flesh out all my needs and questions with a knowledgable salesperson. Having dealt with this "company" (more like a frat house in there), I can honestly say I will never deal with them again, and you would be better suited building a stairlift yourself! After shopping around at 2 other places after Freedom Lifts, I found exactly what I was looking for, at prices that were SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER for the SAME product. STAY AWAY!!!! read more

I felt truly blessed by the quality of service I received from everyone I dealt with. Judy Leferve was so friendly and helpful on the phone. Even when I called her a few times with questions she seemed eager to help. She answered all my questions and never let me feel like I was bothering her. She answered each question simply and thoroughly and seemed pleased to do that for me, and always had a sense of humor which made each call a joy. Thomas Sean O'Reilly who came, and gave me a demonstration of the stair lift, and measured the stairs, was so considerate. He answered my questions, showed me a couple of choices and told me the difference in each lift. I never felt pushed to make an immediate decision, nor did I feel pressured to purchase a more expensive model. He gave me all the information to make my own decision in my own time. All the while sharing his time and knowledge like I was the only customer he had. Shane O'Brien my installer was so respectful. He greeted me at the door with his business card showing so I knew exactly who he was before I opened the door. This was very reassuring to me. He made countless trips in and out of the house and always wiped his feet before entering. He was friendly and talkative, but never stopped working from the time he arrived until the time he left. He explained everything he was doing and why, and made sure I understood all the chair's features. He helped me use the chair and made sure I was comfortable with its use before he left. I was very comfortable with having him in my home and he seemed happy to be of service. He was very friendly which made the afternoon a joy. I contacted Freedom Lifts from San Diego to help my folks in Waterford get a stairlift installed. My 81 yr. young mom took a fall and spent a couple days in the hospital. She had some hip/back issues coming out and couldn't get up and down stairs to get in and out of the house. So I did a little "feedback" research and got a good feeling with Freedom Lifts. I contacted them to get some info. Jen was helpful and patient with my questions, so the good feeling got even better. I recommended to my folks that they set up the "evaluation" visit so they could meet the technician, get any questions answered and get a feel for the company themselves. They were very pleased with Jim (the installation technician). Mom said he was very thorough, patient, and nice. So they went for it and had the Bruno stairlift installed a few days later. The job went great! My folks were even more impressed with Jim, who they said went above and beyond to make sure the install was done the best way possible and that they were both comfortable operating the lift before he left. Mom also has macular degeneration so it's a little scary for her to sit down in the chair with her back to the stairs, but she says she can feel how sturdy the chair is which has helped her get over it. Today I called and she had just come back from lunch with a friend - first time out with a friend in three weeks - success! She has her freedom back so it's definitely money well spent.
