I will not be back to MobilityWorks of East Hartford. We get a car needing hand controls installed…read moreevery 3 years and we will be taking our business somewhere else. They were not organized, had poor communication, were difficult to get a hold of, not customer friendly/focused, and seemed very confused about their own business. Also, they keep nothing in stock so you're constantly waiting. Issue began when 2011 Corolla was dropped off to have hand controls removed because the car was being sold privately. I waited in the lounge area for two hours for the work to be completed, as expected. When the car was returned there were two major problems * I was not informed that two large holes would be cut into the panel under the steering column. These were jagged, unexpected, and an eyesore. I had to take $$ off the list price so that the new owner could have this fixed. Not sure why this wasn't explained or fixed before being returned. * The receipt given to me had a misspelled address and listed the car as a Dodge Caravan. No other information, like model number of the controls was listed. At this time I informed the front desk that in two weeks I would be back with my brand new 2017 Toyota Highlander. No research was done at this point or follow up was made on which hand controls we were going to need or when we'd like to schedule an installment even though I said I would need these quickly because I was expecting a baby very soon. Second interaction: I called to make an appointment to have hand controls installed in the new 2017 Highlander. Even though I was told multiple times when the controls were removed from the Corolla that MobiityWorks does not install used hand controls, I was asked multiple times if I was using my used controls or getting new ones??? Since I donated the controls from the Corolla based on what I was told by the Service Tech I said we needed new ones. I was happy to hear they arrived two days later (Tuesday) and I was told to drop off the car on Thursday night for Friday. This wasn't ideal but I was going to try to make it work. My daughter came down with pneumonia and I needed the car to take her to the doctor so I asked if I could drop it off on Sunday for the controls to be installed on Monday. I was told this was no problem. I dropped the car off Sunday night and on Monday at 2:30 I called to ask when I could pick up the car. At that time I was told Tuesday at 4 and they weren't sure where I got the idea I could get it on Monday. I was also told that it would have been more convenient for them if I had brought it in the previous Friday. (It would have been more convenient for me if my 2 year old didn't have pneumonia and I had to cancel her 2nd birthday party that I was planning for that Saturday but I guess I didn't have a choice) Clearly I didn't appreciate this comment. Not very consumer friendly or sensitive. On Tuesday I called at 2:30 and asked if I could pick up the car at 4. Nobody was contacting me. The person I spoke to put me on hold to ask the service manager then came back on and said yes. I said, you're sure. They said yes. At 3:20 I received an email from Will stating the car would not be ready until Wednesday. I then asked for a phone call to understand what was going on. Apparently a piece was not there and was not arriving until Wednesday morning but the person who answered the phone didn't know this. Will then committed to our being able to have my husband be "fitted" at noon on Wednesday. At this point, I have missed work Monday-Wednesday and had to arrange daycare pick up since no loan vehicle is offered. I clearly could have kept my car Sunday-Tuesday and dropped it off Tuesday night. When my husband arrived on Wednesday at 12:15pm he was asked who he was working with. I have been calling every day now for a week. How is there not paper work with our information? Also, we had a plan for pick up at noon. Shouldn't the car and a representative have been ready and waiting? Now that the car has been picked up, we found that the piece we had been waiting on and they needed an extra day for was for a pedal block. Yup, they were blocking the gas and brake pedal even though I made it abundantly clear that this is my car and the hand controls are for my husband who will drive this car 30% of the time. Blocking the pedals is not an option when the main driver needs them to drive the car. And finally, the rep I was emailing with would not come out and speak with my husband. He sent other people. Completely disappointed. 100% will not be back.

My 93-year-old mother relies on her stair lift to stay safely in her home. When her old lift…read moresuddenly stopped working--after hitting the wheel of her walker at the bottom of the stairs--we were at a complete loss. The motor wouldn't engage, and no matter what we tried, we couldn't get it running again. We contacted Bullock Access expecting the worst. The staff informed us that the model was so old, they no longer carried parts for it. They were transparent and gave us straightforward pricing for a brand-new lift and installation, as well as a rental option--no pressure, just all the facts. Then came Cliff. He and another team member came out to measure for the new lift. But instead of launching into a sales pitch, Cliff took a look at the chair, tugged on some cables, and miraculously--it started working again! Just like that. We were shocked. This man could've made an easy sale. We were already resigned to buying a new one. But instead, he fixed it on the spot and walked away with nothing but our heartfelt thanks. That kind of honesty and decency is nearly extinct in today's world. If you're looking for a stair lift company you can trust with your loved one's safety and your peace of mind, look no further than Bullock Access. Cliff, you're awesome.

I contacted Freedom Lifts regarding a Stairlift for my Mom who was coming from rehab after a fall…read morein her home to stay with me. There were so many things to do and I didn't know anything about stairlifts. Freedom Lifts put me at ease immediately. From the first phone call with Jen to the free in home evaluation and installation, with Sean ,everyone at Freedom Lifts was kind and professional. The stairlift has made such a difference for my mom. She can enjoy our entire home because of the stairlift and is not confined to one area. I would highly recommend Freedom Lifts to anyone who is in need of a Stairlift. Great service and helpful knowledgeable people!

I have to say this company is absolutely a nightmare. Each salesperson and technician I talked to…read morehad NO knowledge about their products, and I honestly think I know more from my brief online research than any information they attempted to convey to me. Normally I don't get too upset about how salespeople interact, but everyone I dealt with was rude and acted like they were doing me a favor even acknowledging my presence. Obviously when you are buying a stairlift, you are seeking assistance, and as someone who had never bought one before, I just wanted to flesh out all my needs and questions with a knowledgable salesperson. Having dealt with this "company" (more like a frat house in there), I can honestly say I will never deal with them again, and you would be better suited building a stairlift yourself! After shopping around at 2 other places after Freedom Lifts, I found exactly what I was looking for, at prices that were SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER for the SAME product. STAY AWAY!!!!

The Ugly: - Upon moving into this apartment I signed the lease that gave me one month free as advertised on their main web page. At the end of the lease, I wasn't granted this. The property management team told me all kinds of lies like they never do those kinds of deals. It was not until I sent them an email that they confirmed the free month in an email from 12 months prior. How many times has this happened to other people ?! - Equipment in the gym is often not repaired for months on end. Some weights have been missing for over a year - There were loose tiles on the roof that took years to mend - There was a dead pigeon on the terrace that wasn't taken for a month - You'll need an air filter. Upon moving into my apartment and turning on my Dyson. The app said the air quality was very poor. - You'll need a water filter. I've known quite a few people who got bad breakouts on first moving. I myself had one of the worse breakouts of my life.I was shocked when I got the water tested. - The concierge/security gossip a lot Good: - They have the best views in Hartford - Any apartment repairs are done promptly without concern - Beautiful lobby - The staff is friendly - Fast elevators - Safe building overall So now that you have spent $600+ on water filter/air filter. Spending well over $200+ for your utilities, parking and pet fees. On top of one of highest rents in the whole 06103. I posted this review on Google with photos, and they were removed. If you want any of the photos…read morejust DM me. Unsafe, lots of crime, homeless, and drug addicts. Petty management with a bad attitude. Seriously, don't move here. There was a woman beaten in an elevator, homeless people get into the building and hangout on the 26th floor. A neighbor had furniture stolen right in front of her door. What's worse, is I have an email from management asking people to just return the stolen item. This clearly shows the cameras they have in the hallways are NOT functional, or not recording. The neighbor who's furniture was stolen installed their own camera on the door. Also, there was a lady who was beaten in an elevator, that ACTUALLY happened! I'm attaching photos as evidence to show I'm not lying. First photo shows they leave the loading door wide open(taken at 4:30 am) Other photos 2 different homeless people sleeping on the property. Management says they cant and wont do anything about it. Other notables: Loading dock stinks like garbage all the time. People let their dogs pee anywhere, and I mean ANYWHERE, elevators, doorways, lobby, you name it I have stepped in dog pee. Response to owner comment. Quoted incase they change it. EDIT WHICH THEY DID. THEY REMOVED THE ORIGINAL POSTING SO HERE IT IS BELOW "Response from the owner Hi Hunter - Unfortunately, your statements about the apartment community don't paint the full picture and are misleading given your recent management encounters. As you know, 777 Main is in a downtown environment and along with that location you occasionally encounter the challenges that come with urban living. One of the many features of 777 Main is that we offer first floor retail locations for added convenience and the loading dock is often open in the early morning hours, being necessary during deliveries. It's unfortunate that you chose this form of public retaliation. Our staff will continue to be available at any time to discuss your concerns further if you so choose." See this is the problem with management right here ^^^. Zero accountability and trying to cover up the fact that the door gets left open all the time. My response: You are right, they don't paint the full picture. I left more out, so I will add more of the photos. First, based on the way you have treated me, along with the problems with crime INSIDE and OUT of the building, how can you expect more than a 1 star rating? Its called the consequence of your actions and poor management. They removed my review on google to hide this, so I reposted it again. So yea.. 1 star, dont move here.
