I asked what the charge would be for them to come out .I was…read morequoted 159.00 I said OK. when the technician came out he said the problem wasn't the Machine but the drain and I should call a plumber which was fine. Time to paid the bill and he quoted me over 200.00. I told the technician that I was quoted 159.00. He said because it was a front loader it was 189.00 plus tax. I feel that I was taken advantage of because I am a women and a senior citizen. I will never call or do business with Marc's appliances again. I don't like being cheated.

Ordered a 48" range online at an excellent (but not…read moreunique) price, website claimed it was in stock and that I would need to pick it up at their West Hartford warehouse. Got a confirmation E-mail stating order would be "processed once payment was confirmed" (odd, since CC payments are generally automated these days). Next day, I got what appeared to be an automated E-mail (no name or phone number, DoNotReply sender) stating that their "policy" was that I would need to come to their store in person to confirm identity & credit card, and that the item was a special order (not in stock after all, I guess!). Since it's a 4-hour drive each way, going there twice defeats the purpose of an online order... When I called to try to clear things up, "Jack" told me the item was not in stock and that there appeared to be a pricing error (more alarm bells start up in my head). After consulting with his manager, he did call me back, to tell me that the part number is not on the Kitchenaid site, so they can't even order it, and they don't have it in stock. I just went back on their site, and they still list that exact part number listed (KFID948SJP), but at a much, much higher price, of course. When I expressed my displeasure and asked to speak to a manger, it went to voice mail. The only excuse offered was "the website is pretty automated". I get that mistakes happen, but reputable stores make some effort to make it right with the customer. A retail store is responsible for their advertised pricing.

    I bought brand new $6000 Frigidaire model PCFD3670AF range from CAFD that didn't work from the…read morebeginning. The oven does not reach the temperature it is set at and can vary by over 100° at times! There is no option to calibrate it. They sent a tech to replace a part and it didn't fix it. I was told, sorry, there are no other repairs possible. They've been giving me a runaround for months and I haven't been able to use the oven at all. It's brand new and under warranty but they won't replace it or take it back. Unbelievable. Stay away from CAFD and Frigidaire. Terrible customer service and the warranty is worthless.

We've called numerous times, been put on long holds, hung up on and two crews came out bringing the wrong items. We have been calling your office every week, with no response and no timeline when our fireplace will be finished in our bedroom. This has been a reoccurring story with each fireplace (we purchased a gas fireplace and two electric fireplaces)--we pretty much had to come IN PERSON to get our main floor fireplaces installed with the proper materials. This is unacceptable. Since calling your customer service team and being disconnected last week, our cats have crawled into the open fireplace in our bedroom, and the pebbles have spilled all over our floor. I am submitting a better business bureau complaint, and complaining on yelp and other social media channels. I can't believe this is how you conduct business with your customers.

The last time we bought our bedroom bed was 30+ years ago. It had a no frills generic King sized mattress, two generic box springs, and a simple interlocking metal frame. That frame had recently started falling apart with increasing frequency, and the process of lifting a king-sized mattress and two box springs from the frame, figuring out how to re-lock the frame, then pile everything back was getting both tedious and tiring. So since that bed dates to the Bill Clinton presidency, we decided it was time to move ahead and get a new one. Beds, especially Kings, can be crazy expensive and hit three grand or more pretty easily. There are lots of mattress quality options, mattress "toppers", and frame and platform options. It can be as complicated as buying a vehicle. So, bearing all this in mind, we checked out two competitive stores yesterday. Connecticut Mattress was our second visit and we purchased our replacement bed there. We ditched the old metal frame for a sturdier platform, eliminating the need for box springs, and we splurged a bit by having the platform "tilt" at the head to make watching TV and reading a bit more comfortable. We went with a "firm" mattress we both test drove and liked. I want to acknowledge how helpful our Sleep Consultant (that's the title on her business card!) Joanne Wholley was. She was super knowledgeable, very patient, and had a great personality. She was the reason we chose Connecticut Mattresss over the competition. Pricing for the bed, platform, delivery, and removal were similar. But Joanne's counterpart at the store that will not be named was pushy to the point of aggressive, and miraculously dropped her quote by $100 as we told her we needed to discuss things and were leaving. So maybe instead of being in Avon, I was in Lourdes and unknowingly made a pilgrimage to The Miracle of the Mattress?
