This company is poorly run, long wait times when trying to to talk to a customer service representative. Its difficult to get proper product service support from installer. These fees for install and removel are excessive, plus two monthly payments. read more

The worse company for interlocking devices. There system never says you owe but you go to the audio shops for calibration and then you owe crazy amount. There system is terrible. If you need help on a weekend good luck!!! If your car locks out you gotta use a safety pin to freaking reset it and you can only get the code from them. read more

Who has real time access to data on the interlock device? LifeSafer? The DMV? Am I required to start the car daily? A 4 day old interlock was used once by a licensed driver to get the car home from the installer I am already in lockdown and LifeSafer hasn't even filed the certificate yet. So what is happening specifically. The battery is on. read more

Do NOT use this company. They don't file paperwork correctly, my paperwork has been filed with the wrong state this whole time. You won't get your interlock out in time. They delay and you're forced to keep it in longer than you're required to. You can't ever get anyone on the phone. The chat team really can't resolve anything and you're lucky if you get anyone on the chat as well. They will get it installed quick! But forget having any support along the way, and be prepared to be stressed out and have it longer than you're supposed to. Horrible customer service, do not recommend. read more

I'm grateful to have my interlock off and get everything over with but this place feels like a scam at the same time. I finished up my five month program for having an interlock in my car and got a charge for around $100 to have the device in my car. $180 to get it uninstalled by the technician that uninstalled it from a mechanic they work with. Now I'm hit with another $180 by lifesafer for another fee a month after I got the device uninstalled. I had to call to get my card off auto pay they didn't even do that after the last payment was processed. Thanks for the help. read more

Great service, jerry is always helping and making sure they work with me and my schedule which is great because I never know what my weeks look like with work etc. Answers all my questions I have on my DUI .. Reliable on my calls and turns them right away . 100% would recommend read more

This has been a nightmare dealing with this company. They are very greedy and overpriced. I have been having issues with my car ever since I got the device installed , always something with the battery , drains it and they say it's not the device. I have multiple receipts for the service in my car and they are not trying to hear it, and wont reverse the violation fee's. They lack compassion. They are really quick to answer the phone when you are purchasing their service, but you will be on hold for over an hour with questions or complaints. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! Do your research. There are companies who do not charge for violations or for half the price. read more

My 6 months was up so I've been trying to contact this company now for weeks, this company literally never picks up their phone. I mean never. Their online chat is 100% unresponsive and their email communication is nonexistent. If you want to waste countless hours on hold listening to bad piano music, than this place is perfect for you ! Horrible, seriously the worst customer service out there. I found the trick tho, press 1 (to get new device installed) . The department for new sales picks up right away. They can't wait to sell it to you. Then you have to haggle your way through other agents, departments and managers to get anything accomplished, but at least someone picks up. Still waiting for an email from the MAU department, whatever that is. Doubt I will receive anything. How this company is still in business I have no idea. read more

Horrible company. I had an ignition interlock device installed in my vehicle at one of their approved shops (Car Stereo Pros in the city of South Gate, CA). When I completed my required time with the device in my vehicle, I went back to the same shop to have the interlock device removed. I had to call lifesafer to get approval for the removal, and they relayed that message to the repair shop. The device was removed, and the repair shop kept the device (January 2023). On 18MAR2023, I received a letter from Lifesafer stating that I need to return the interlock device, and if I don't, my account will be sent to collections. I'm called Lifesafer numerous times to inform them that the device has been removed by one of their shops and was kept there, but they keep insisting that my account will be sent to collections. I provided Lifesafer with a copy of the receipt that I was given when the device was removed, but all they said is that i should not have paid cash for the removal. I fail to see how it's my fault that the shop accepted cash since I was paying cash at most of my monthly service visits. The invoice clearly states "labor remove unit," but lifesafer says that the invoice only says labor. Car Stereo pros and Lifesafer dropped the ball and have horrible customer service. I should not have to pay for a device that was removed by the shop that originally installed it. Same shop that kept the device. I have no possible use for an interlock device. There's no sense in me keeping it like Lifesafer claims. The invoice even has a time stamp that coincides with the time of my appointment appointment. read more

SCAM ALERT! This is a horrendously bad company. Flagrantly irresponsible and GREEDY. They issued me a faulty device that cut the power to my vehicle WHILE I WAS DRIVING. Then blamed there problem on my battery AND forced need to take it in for "calibration". Almost everytime the device failed I had to do this, adding to my costs and putting money in their pocket. These are dubious middlemen who force you to use them to make your appointments, then charge $55.00 if you cancel. They'll send you to locations that are no longer in business. Wasting your time and causing you to take more time off of work. They'll send you to mechanics without ever even notifying the mechanic, forcing you to reschedule. They continued to charge me even after there device was removed. DO NOT TRUST LIFESAFER read more

LifeSafer of California over charged me more than $900.00 As per The DMV Vehicle Code Section 23575.3 Subsection D-4K. I had the device on my vehicle from October 2021 until February 2023. The worst customer service ever. I took the system for recalibration at 9 am and the system broke at the shop. The tech "fixed" this issue. I then left and went to a grocery store to get a few items. Once I was ready to go the system malfunctioned and I was left stranded. I contacted Lifesafer, after an hour on hold. I was advised that I had to foot the bill to tow the broken system back to the shop that never fixed the issue in the first place. I was left stranded with a 2 year old child in 110 Texas heat. Never once did this company offer any help fixing the issue that they are liable for. read more

What a nightmare it has been dealing with this poor excuse for a business/service which capitalizes upon and exploits individuals who suffer with substance abuse problems. I've never come across a company that acts and behaves so entitled to your business. All of their representatives are rude and produce idle threats if you're in danger of being non-compliant. I can't tell you how much time I've wasted on the phone with dim-witted representatives that talk back and get angry if your tone is anything but pleasant. Last time I checked, I still have freedom of speech, and, yes, when your service and device make my life incredibly difficult as LifeSafer did on multiple occasions, yeah, my tone is not going to be great. Lastly, their device drained my car battery on MULTIPLE occasions and I was forced to have my car towed into one of their locations to have it serviced as a result -- they never paid for my battery or my towing fee. This company and the people who work for it are tyrants. It's truly disgusting, and the only comfort I really take is knowing that this defunct sort of company will not be very future-relevant. As time goes on, society is going to see a company like LifeSafer for what it actually is -- a tyrannical operation that preys upon the disadvantaged. Literally, use ANY other service for your Interlock device. LifeSafer and all of its employees are absolute TRASH. read more

Called to get this installed, spoke with JOHN TYLER. He assured me that everything was in order with the DMV and all I had to do was go get the breathalyzer installed. I go get it installed on a Friday. Monday when I go to the DMV they tell me that no one called them and approved the installation. It was not approved and I need to uninstall equipment right away. I had the device on for 4 days. I got it uninstalled on a Tuesday. I was Charles almost 300 dollars for a mistake they committed. They should have told me to wait and call the DMV myself to confirm that I was able to install device. JOHN TYLER lied and charged me 190$ on the spot. I have called then and tried to speak to a supervisor but no luck. They will not refund me or help in any way. This place is a SCAM. DO NOT FRT TRICKED LIKE I DID. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

I would give ZERO STARS if possible ! This is the worst company ever. Take forever to answer the calls, and if you want the callback service forget it , they will call you months after. All the agents are worthless, seems they just go by a script since they will do absolutely nothing to try to go the extra mile to help. Their lack of knowledge is ridiculous, you ask a question and they will answer the same thing over and over (again, seems they just read a script). THESE GUYS ARE A SCAM! I have a flyer for "free installation, all cars. no exceptions" I have a tesla and called to setup an install. I find out that there are exceptions to the free install. They were going to charge me $600 to install the IID on my Tesla. So then there are exceptions? I asked for a manager, who then put me on hold for a couple of minutes, and told me she talked to the company director and said that the company will not install IID on tesla's because it will nullify the car warranty. Sounds like they're trying to find a way to wiggle out of the "free install no exceptions" false promo. I called around to find out these guys are the same company as Guardian. Dont trust either, as they are shady as hell. If you don't believe me, go ahead and find out yourself. read more

Been on the phone for over an hour would not recommend this company to anyone they say you can pay two months to avoid the extra calibration fee but the people they contract with don't honor it so when it gets close to the time for the calibration their devices start to glitch and it takes you over ten minutes to turn your car o read more

Alright, so I finally finished the mandatory 5 month iid period and went today to have it removed! Low and behold, this monkey of a business operator tells me that I now owe a "disinstallment fee of $75.00! The fucking Gaul of this clown! Then I researched the agreement and, low and behold it says that I agree to pay any fees! Son of a bitch! As positive as I was that all I had to do was show up and have the damn thing removed, I come to find out that this opportunistic mother fucking piece of shit company just couldn't resist sticking it to me one final time! Here's where they scam you! You don't pay an installation fee because they claim "free installation "! But when you finish the extortion period, you are further extorted by them telling you that you owe an "disinstallment fee"! BTW, what the hell is a DISINSTALLMENT fee? Us, normal, (OTHER THAN ILLEGAL ALIEN) Americans would normally say "uninstallation " but you say tomato, etc! Bottom line is that this entire organization is a scam to attempt to legally extort money from every Californian they can! And by any and all deceitful means at their disposal! In my opinion, every single one of you are lying, deceitful cocksuckers! And should be burned at the stake! Witches! read more

Great fast and friendly service !!! Affordable prices ! Had no problems with device or vehicle!

These people are thieves' they will not work with you at all. I got this system installed in my vehical thinking I would not have any problem getting my liscense back but when I called TN homeland security they said otherwise but would still not let me remove system for the same $125 price it cost me to install. So I paid the price and explained to them what was going on vehical could not be driven by me to get recals done they seemed not to care and kept charging me for the use as it sat in my driveway for almost 4 months and a dead battery then had the gaul to charge me $250 for the mouth piece!! Went in last Fri to finally get it recalibrated I was charge another $200 and have not seen the 250 back since obviously using the same one WTF and when I call them it takes hrs to get a return call when I first started it was pretty much automatic personally I think this is pispoor Matter of fact the last time I called I never received a callback!! caution!!!! lifesafer does not train 3rd party installation places. use an authorized installer. to make a long story short i used a 3rd party assuming they where knowledgeable of the install. they wheren't. had a bad install that kept draining my battery. had them remove unit and took my truck to a authorized installer issue fixed with battery draining. authorized installer said he called 3rd party said dude had no idead of install and was new to the whole thing. after my time with the unit come to find 3rd party ruined my car alarm. 3rd party was unwilling to take the blame and threw onto lifesafer. called lifesafer and they blamed the installer. weeks of calling and speaking to lifesafer no fix. ive spoken to each and every person with each saying a different thing to how to get the alarm fixed or reimbursed. but actual results ive had none. they tell me to wait for a call and nothing a month later. update alarm issue got worst left me stranded before work. missed 3 hours. a bill for 120$ to remove alarm as faulty. back on the road with no alarm. called lifesafer again. got a new guy seemed helpful supposedly wrote in needed info to get this issue resolved. said no prior note on account. wow. either way dont believe a word anyone says from lifesafer. if you can avoid them please do. also note to find a coupon for free install. anything newer you with pay for install and removal. ripoff!!!! of a company worthless company customer call center. if there is an issue beware lifesafer will not help or make an effort to get your car fixed or reimburse you for lost or damged to your car. read more
