I have been a member of Gaithersburg Lifetime Fitness for several years now. I have never ventured to other fitness clubs. My friend noticed that Fairfax, VA has a water aerobics class on Saturdays at 12:00. We decided to give it a try. The class is taught by J. B. Malloy. Can I tell you that I did not expect to find this jewel. J. B. monitors and educates the participants. She has incorporated a Yoga, Pilates into a low impact aerobics all in the pool. She has an intoxicating energy that permeates the atmosphere and touches everyone. The participants are engaged and active. She provides instructions about hydration, stretching and class preparation. She remains after the class to encourage any questions. I am so thankful for this instructor. We need more J. B.s around. Good gym. Decent child care. The pool can be fun for little ones but do not take your eyes off them as the Lifeguarding is absolutely the worst I have ever seen. They have cut spin classes at this location yet keep raising dues. They have trouble with keeping the sauna hot - it often is at 160 degrees F. This is an ongoing problem over at least this year. If you want it hot you have to get the site engineer to manually set the heaters, every single time. read more

AWFUL customer service! Their billing department is a joke! I have had issues almost every month, finally the last straw was when they put someone else's membership dues and cafe charges on my credit card- clearly credit card info is not kept secure. After hours on the phone with my credit card company, no one was available at lifetime to return my calls and they requested I come in?! Haven't you already inconvenienced me enough? Most expensive gym in the area, classes are terrible and are designed for woman 50+, billing/customer service is awful- save your $ and go elsewhere!! read more

It's a great gym, with ample equipment. The people are nice. The main floors are well kept and clean. The basketball court is also a ton of fun and spacious. My only gripe is they dont seem to care about cleaning the bathrooms rigorously. Multiple issues with toilets being cleaned, and showers. This is surprising given the hefty 79.99 price tag I am paying for myself per month. read more

The childcare center is ideal for up to maybe age 6. My 8 and 10 year old complain that the childcare center is too babyish and hate going to the gym with me. They were bored after a month. The indoor structure is about 20 years old, a bit outdated, and only geared to age 6 or 7. I was spoiled at my old Richmond gym ACAC where the kids got as much of a workout as I did and the kids loved going to the gym with me. Alas, Lifetime doesn't compare and disappoints. They also don't have any fitness classes for the 8-12 year age group- it wd be nice if my kids could also have classes or if the kid center could also develop fitness programming to live up to their lifetime name. I'm told Corporate has no interest in spending the money to update their child Center which is a shame. As for myself, the gym floor, free weights and cardio machines are great and plentiful even during the most crowded times. The two studios for classes feel small and tight when the classes are full. If you love vinyasa yoga and work during the day, theres only two yoga classes on Wednesday evenings that fit that bill and the rest of the week and weekend are nada in that department. I was spoiled by my old gym that housed a yoga studio and had many yoga classes throughout the week in the evenings and the weekend. Lifetime is not strong in the yoga department in terms of frequency of class offerings. The indoor pool is convenient to take kids for swim lessons and family time in the pool in the evenings and weekend. I miss ACAC but lucky for Lifetime, ACAC is in Richmond. Overall, I probably wouldn't be as critical if I hadn't had such an amazing gym I used to belong to, so Lifetime is ok, not great. read more

Date night at the gym? Wow... what a gym. It's like a massive playground with everything you can imagine. Exercise classes, a pool, cafe, etc. I'm not a gym rat and have no idea how to use the equipment but I accompanied my friend a date of sorts . Ended up on the exercise cycle and had so many TV channels i was an hour into the workout before I realized I was actually working out. They have saunas and provide massages too. This place is truly amazing. 4 stars as the guest procedure took longer than I thought it should and two of the sales people called me SIR and I'm clearly a MS even if I wasn't wearing pink. I was a dedicated LTF member for 6+ years. Years ago, LTF was A LOT more economical and closer to my home. (LFT's proximity to my home coupled with the escalating membership fee were what caused the break up.) Recently, with a friend, I took a class (as a guest) at LTF. All the amenities and positives of the gym came back to me. -Towel Service -Fitness Classes -Able to go to multiple locations -Lockers (lock provided) -Sauna -Steam Room -Pool -Basketball Court -Child Care -It's LARGE-- no waiting for machines -Plenty of free weights -Regulars (LTF patrons often are regulars) -2 guest passes a month -Nice locker room area -Open 24 Hours If you live close, have children, and actually take advantage of the amenities- this is probably the gym for you! No wait, child care, lockers and the towel service in itself are pretty stellar. Unfortunately, LTF isn't for me at this time due to the fact that I don't take advantage of hardly any of the amenities. Plus, it's further away (and more $$$) than my current gym. read more

Been going to this gym for about 2 years - perfect location and hours! The layout is great for me - lots of cardio equipment on both 1st and 2nd floors, lots of space and air to accommodate quite a bit of people at the same time. Some personal trainers and group training programs are good. Group classes are decent too with many options as far as time of the day goes. I used to like this gym much more until I started using the shower here and visiting the locker room frequently. Before I just used to come in, workout and leave and that worked perfectly. The showers however are pretty gross on many days, hair and stained curtains. Sometime (especially Saturday) you have to wait to get in the shower. There is just one lady who is responsible for laundering and folding towels (a ton of towels! each customer usually uses 2-3 each, to sit and stand on, just to protect themselves form the messy showers and locker rooms). So that same lady is also responsible for keeping locker rooms/showers/bathrooms clean. I always see her hustling and trying to hurry up, move around fast and do her best - but the gym management needs to understand that one person is not enough for that amount of visitors! They need to get her some help, as well as for the young man doing the men's side of lockers. The sign up process was also initially frustrating. Please do not list any of your friends as contacts - save their ears- they will be called numerous times and offered to join the gym, numerous times indeed. Lots of friendly staff members and the energy from customers working out at the gym are great - that and the location kind of make up for the shortcomings for me. read more

I will spare you the horrendous details and will not elaborate the lack of fresh towels, the lack of available showers and the lack of a clean pool (and only two lap lanes). These are major problems that are definitely very sickening and irritating, but no need to elaborate on those... However, I will go into detail about one grave issue: the women's steam room was extremely filthy and putrid. I almost vomited when I poked my head inside. The floor was caked in human debris, wads of hair, and plastic bags. The smell was extremely foul, and I felt nauseous after one second. I am a proud Platinum member and frequent visitor of the Sterling, Va. location. I will never come back to the Fairfax Lifetime location. Ever. read more

This is not a true "suburb" lifetime where you can enjoy ample space in locker area or work out area. Everything is super cramped at this location. What I hate the most about this facility is that the workers use same towels people use after shower to wipe their faces and bodies to clean sinks, floors and sometimes toilets. Yes, TOILETS!! I've seen it with my own eyes! They also put these towels on the floor and use their feet (with shoes on of course) to wipe the wet floor. Then it goes into the bin with all the other towels to be washed and put back for people to use...again to wipe their faces and bodies. This practice is not only gross but also very disrespectful. These workers would NEVER use same towel to clean their toilet and wipe their face in their own house. Simply despicable!! And why management is not addressing this issue more aggressively is truly beyond me. Also, I happened to look inside of a plastic bin they use to collect used towels, it was FILTHY. It had dirt, slimy looking things and gums stuck on the bottom. I know it is used to collect used towels but come on! Gums?? Why?? How?? Was this bin once used as a trash can before?? read more

My decision to leave was based of a number of reasons. 1.)There was a life guard on Saturday June 23rd who was annoyingly rude and disrespectful towards me and my daughter. Insisting that I remain in the water with her at all times when I simply wanted to take a dip in the hot tub after a long workout. I don't have a problem with the policy but it should be in forced upon everyone and not just me. There were plenty of parents who were not in the water or within 10 feet of their children. That is racial discrimination, sexist or ageist? Whatever the term, I was definitely felt singled out. I was sort of speechless when stocky lifeguard pulled the taller on duty lifeguard to me and said "EXPLAIN TO THIS HER why she can't go in the hot tub etc.. " I didn't appreciate his tone of voice, speaking to me as if I have a learning disability. I was with a friend that Saturday and even she made a comment about how rude the lifeguard was. A good rule to remember is that it's not what you say but it's how you say it. My daughter was playing in the pool with the pool toys when the stocky life guard snatch the toys from her and hide them away... (aren't they for everyone to use?) Also, I'm quite certain that he threw an object at her face. (Check your cameras) Whether it was intentional or not, I did not see an apology. 2.) parking sucks 3.) the fitness classes are so inconvenient... the hours are just convenient enough for housewives to attend...and the logistics of arriving to a class after work on a weekday slim to none. 4.) the yoga classes have no flow.. you're literally jumping from pose to pose and even as an advance yogi, it's ridiculously choppy... there is not a flow to the yoga sequence (try it yourself) 5.) the Pilates classes are cheaper if I go to a professional studio 6.) massages are ridiculously overpriced 7.) I could overlook almost everything else but that shitty lifeguard put me off. Why would I support a business whose staff lacks basic manners and common decency? I guess you could argue that he was "new" but with the amount you pay at life time you except better service. Do you just hire anyone? I except your staff to be better trained before you let them run amuck. I joined Lifetime in Fairfax, VA after not having been a gym member ever before in my life. So I have nothing to compare it to other than itself. The zumba classes included in the monthly membership fees and the child care center were my main reason for joining this gym. Zumba classes at this gym offered by instructors Alia, Sani and Kazumi are very popular and there is hardly any room for all the people that attend to move about freely. One would expect Lifetime to respond to this overcrowding and intense interest by adding classes with these instructors more times in the week. However, in January 2013, Lifetime for some unfathomable reason, took away classes offered by the popular instructors and instead rearranged these classes with the worst zumba instructor of the lot (Heidi) who seems to have trouble understanding why no one is lining up to attend her classes. With zumba's popularity rising and evidence of great interest in classes by certain instructors, it is almost counter-intuitive to drive members away with low/inferior zumba classes. If this problem is not resolved soon, members will be leaving in droves; I know I will be leaving for sure. As for the child care center, it definitely has disappointed with none of the activities advertised ever being carried out. It is a place to drop children and leave them to their own devices to do what they can to entertain themselves. read more

This is a fairly decent gym located in the Fair City stripe mall. Tons of cardio equipment, equip w/ sauna and steam room, bball court and 2 studios. 24x7 However, I expected it to be nicer. Having taken a few classes here, I think LT needs to lay down some ground rules for its inconsiderate members. First of all, I don't think ppl should be allowed to join/leave any time during a class. It's very annoying, esp during something meditative like yoga. 2nd - ppl should turn off their cell phones. 3rd - there should be a class size limit. I was in a Dance Jam class last nite and there were 68 of us packed in that tiny studio. It made it very hard to move around, not to mention the major B.O. The instructor Larry is awesome though. I've never seen someone who loves what they do as much as him. Awesome dude! Also, the towels should be folded rather than scattered around the towel service desk. I completely agree that they should raise the price and keep it a bit more exclusive. Of course, that means pulling their act together as well. read more

I used to be 5 stars on this gym but a number of factors really put me off it. I am writing an honest review that includes positive and negative issues so you have a real sense of the facility and the people. If you join Lifetime Fitness, I honestly recommend that if you can go to the Centerville or Reston locations as they are larger, parking is way better and the facilities seem much more professionally run. But think clearly about what you are paying for at these facilities. And what you really don't need to pay for and you'll know if this is right for you. PROS: - Towel service is part of membership. A nice plus and that is what you are paying for essentially. - Toiletries in locker rooms. Again a nice plus and that is what you are paying for essentially. - They have a number of very nice and very competent trainers there. Dulaney, Carl and Rob L. are the best of the bunch in my mind. My husband trained with Dulaney for a time and my daughter has trained with Rob for the last 2.5 years. - Nate and Kirk were the two best lifeguards of the bunch. - Childcare: My daughter was too old for this when we joined but a lot of people speaking highly of the child care. - Cafe on site. This is nice if you need something. Ordering on the app is very handy if you are in the locker room and want to save time by ordering ahead of time. - Classes - there are a bunch but I never participated as I was there early in the mornings. - Lockers seem safe with in locker locks that you set yourself. - This is both pro and con . . . and very important for lap swimmers. They have a pool with swim lanes which was a must for me however the pool is kept very warm and I was sluggish swimming there most of the time. Add to this that there are only two lanes and they are not true lanes in width or length. Nate and Kirk were rock stars as lifeguard and aquatics manager at the time of leaving. The manager prior to that, Jenna, was also great. But hey have a huge problem with keeping lifeguards and having them show up in the mornings on time. CONCERNS: - Management: Despite my regular emails regarding issues at the gym over time, I found responses less than lukewarm unless it was a positive email (I sent both types of emails). I was invested in this gym, here every day. I felt it important to advise the front desk, the membership desk and the management (by email) about issues that popped up. After the initial email (they awarded me some LT Bucks as a thank you which I think was a very nice touch early on), it was lackluster after that. Honestly, once Stormie was gone - they just don't care. You are a number and you can be replaced, period. So if you have issues, don't bother. Here is a very clear point: I asked about an electrical outlet in the women's locker room that was obviously broken and I felt, a fire hazard. Numerous emails, etc. No one did a thing for 2.5 years. - White supremacist in the gym in the early hours. I complained to a management person and asked what I should do and she told me that if the person didn't say anything to me verbally there was nothing that could be done. I was nothing but polite to this member and his friends. They were nothing but surly and curt to me. Awkward situation, something I have never experienced in my 50+ years living here. And I see none of it at the new gym I go to now. - Nighttime people are overworked, underpaid and treated like dirt by management. This isn't just the team members telling me, it is witnessing this first hand. These same employees are also constantly running around working so if you show up prior to 5 a.m. you have to ring the "doorbell" numerous times to get someone to show up and sometimes no one every does and a fellow member inside takes pity on you and lets you in. Awkward - how safe is that? And if you are on a time crunch you then have to get up earlier, get to the gym earlier just to hurry up and wait for someone to get the door unlocked for you. - Membership fees are overpriced for what you get. Remember, it is really about towels and toiletries and 24/7 access for most . And you get pulled through their sales rep mechanism to join which out of date as most gyms you just join online. - Equipment is varied and there is a lot of it but a bunch of it is not current. But the gym is extremely full during busy periods. The renovation was pretty and all but they really should have ripped up the rest of the carpet in the place and put down the laminate floor everywhere. The carpet is full of sweat and more. Ew. - This location is pushing revenue streams left and right these days. I am already paying a lot of money as a member but apparently my going to the gym is yet another opportunity to part me from my wallet. New gym: they just let me work out and I get it done in a clean, professional and calm environment with zero drama. read more

I tried this place out over the summer because they had a college student discount. I must say that there's something very Orwellian about this place. The TV screens are filled with smiling, perfect people and bathrooms are filled with signs telling you how you can perfect yourself into some kind of ubermensch. But I guess that's typical of commercial gyms. The equipment is decent, although the weights area could be bigger. After 10 years of very expensive monthly dues they made it very difficult to end our membership. We are moving to another city and needed to resign. You know how it is when you are moving. You're busy and running around with a million things to do and not enough time to do it all. Lifetime would not take a resignation over the phone or by email. We had to stop in and sign a form and pay a fee for a membership status change. Common sense would suggest that isn't how you treat loyal customers. Instead of leaving with fond memories I now wish I had never stepped foot in the place. read more

Life Time Athletic in Fairfax ...I am taken back and highly upset of the way I have been treated at life time from the daycare center. There seems to be an issue a few times I drop my son off at daycare and I'm being called to pick him up. It's gotten to the point that when someone in daycare knows I'm dropping my son off, they tell me they are full. This behavior is done intentionally and I'm very upset about it. This evening, I had schedule for both my boys to be at daycare but when I called to confirm, they said their names were not on the list. I had reserved their spots so I know they were on the list. I feel disrespected and discriminated against. I'm a paying member and do not deserve this behavior. I would welcome a readout of the measures being taken by Lifetime. read more

I will start off by saying that my experience with Lifetime Fitness starts in the Twin Cities, where they are based. My previous club was one of the nicest platinum level clubs they have, so the bar was set pretty high when I moved here. The Fairfax club is pretty nice for the most part, but I think for the Platinum level price, members here are missing out on some things. First, the good: This club is open 24 hours a day, which is nice if you work off-hours. I find it's nice going into the club around midnight, when it's not too crowded. The cardio equipment is newer and in good shape. There is also lots of it, so you shouldn't have a problem finding a machine. The weights section is smaller, but they have all the equipment you should need. There's also a nice area for stretching out or doing other exercises. Now the stuff that could be improved. The locker rooms are alright, but there's not a lot of room in there and it can get pretty crowded. The lockers are also showing their age. A lot of times, you'll find the keys don't work. They either get stuck when you try to pull them out, or the lock won't turn to begin with. I recommend testing the key before you pile your stuff into a locker. Because the club is always open, it can get pretty nasty in there too. They need to do a better job of keeping it clean. The pool is great if you have a family, but if you are there to swim laps, you might not like it. That's because there are only 2 lap lanes, so you might have trouble getting a lane. They also don't have a dedicated spin room, so if you take one of those classes, you have to go grab a bike and wheel it over to where you want it. Overall, a nice gym. I just think Lifetime should make it a Gold level club instead of a more expensive Platinum one. read more

Been a member since 2009. Get a lot of benefit from all aspects of the club. They have some of the best personal trainers around. A nice pool, great child care center and a cafe with some really healthy food. They have a spa on the premises, with great but expensive massages, haircuts, manis and pedis. The only thing that could be improved on is the state of the locker rooms. There was a renovation about a year or so ago and the only lack of improvement came in the locker room department. The same dirty stalls and floors remained after the club had been closed for a few days. I would have expected a thorough pressure washed cleaning especially of the locker room, bathroom, shower areas. Other than the locker rooms (men's specifically), I can't think of anything that Lifetime doesn't offer you. Fairfax is one of the older locations, but still it offers everything you could want from a health club/fitness center. Yes, there are other clubs in the area that are less money, but they don't provide nearly as much as Lifetime does. Plus, having a Lifetime membership enables you to use the other Lifetime clubs in the DC metro area, as well as clubs throughout the country. read more

Due to moving a bit farther out, I had to resign from Lifetime. I was really sad to do it because it did feel so comfortable for a couple years. My resignation process was smooth, unlike my friend's I previously mentioned. If you give notice one month, December, for example, your membership will cease at the end of the following month, ie: January. Instead of rejoining a gym in my new neighborhood, I have since opted to take speciality classes (barre) and utilize the gratis facilities I have available to me, like the building gym, my bike, and the local trails. However, if you live in Fairfax and are looking for a nice gym, I'd definitely recommend Lifetime. And I would highly recommend Steve for all your personal training needs! He will not only show you what to do, but teach you the benefit of doing it, and molds work-outs to fit your needs and abilities. read more

This is a nice gym/health club. I came from the headquarters area in Minnesota, so there are some things lacking here that they had at the club there for the same price, but honestly, you won't find another fitness club around here like lifetime. They have ample machines, good classes, a large pool and nice locker rooms. The pool is more for kids than a lap pool, and I do think it's annoying that the spin bikes have to be moved around and they don't have a dedicated spin room. The staff here can be rather grouchy, and like any Lifetime, the personal training staff just want your money. However, if you're looking for a gym that has it all (cafe, salon, child care, pool, basketball courts, variety of classes, etc) this is it! read more

I love their fitness classes and particularly ones taught by Kim and Jenn. They have recently changed the evening schedule for those Free classes (I.e.replaced classes with the ones I can't attend or removed them). I do not work out on the floor I only come in for group classes. Now instead of 5 times a week I only visit the gym twice a week. I do not know if 2 classes a week worth money I am paying monthly for membership. I am disappointed. Thinking about resigning. read more

We've been members of Lifetime Fitness for about 4 months. The family package is fairly expensive -- approximately $150 but we really like the place. The student/single package is significantly less as I understand it. The best feature for us is that kids 12 and older are allowed to work out. 15 and older on their own. Some of you serious work-out folks probably hate this feature because kids occupy machines and class space but it has been a godsend for us. Our kids are able to lift and exercise with us regularly -- something they could not do even at our club. There is a ton of equipment -- both free weights and machines. I love the fitness classes they offer. I've never been squeezed out of a class and the instructors are pleasant and not condescending if you don't know the latest steps or exercise -- highly professional. I wish they had more classes but the number of classes is good and times are balanced between morning, afternoon, and evening. I like that. I don't like their locker rooms but I don't like any locker room. These are nicer than most but I wish they would clean up the place a little more. The pool area is a bit small but I haven't used that facility. Overall, if you have kids that want to work out -- this really may be your only option. Being open 24 hrs is a great feature those who can't get ot the gym until late or have to go really early. There may be other gyms out there with nicer facilities but none more flexible in schedules and amenities. read more

A sign by the pool said, "If you have diarrhea or have had diarrhea in the past two weeks, please do not use the pool." Seriously? It had to have been a problem at some point because you don't get that engraved on a silver sign and post it prominently unless it happened. I'm sure it's no longer a problem, though it didn't really make me want to use the pool, even for the water circuit and aqua aerobics classes they offer for free to members. They just renovated a couple months ago and upgraded their equipment. It's clean, spacious, and I've never had to wait in line for a cardio machine, even during peak hours 5-8 pm. Basketball courts, group fitness classes (yoga not that great but FIT and cardio kickboxing have kicked my ass), swimming pool, steam room, lounge, for-fee spa and salon, and cafe. They provide mats, straps, balance balls, medicine balls, etc. Staff is friendly and helpful. read more

Over priced, not well run at all! Their GM is an alright person but doesn't have management experience and it shows. Their operations manager is a tool, he says he will do things but never follows through. Probably terminating my membership next week. Towels are never ready, Tuwanda or whatever her name is a master of BSing a conversation but doesn't do any work. The overnight staff are lazy and sleep all night. Hasn't been the same since David stopped working there, as someone who is an early morning workout person, he was diligent and took care of things, and had a passion for his job. Worst experience ever! Overpriced $250/down, $110/month for pushy sales people, and substandard management. Trainers are constantly leaving. Towels have horrible smell. Once you decide you don't want to join then the harassment begins like the NSA against Snowden! I receive emails and calls daily. This is ridiculous! They charge more than a luxury gym in Manhattan, yet they are located in a rural strip mall. Pros: Lots of equipment and enough weights so that you don't need to wait unless it's really crowded. Koda, one of their personal trainers, was helpful and designed a workout plan that fit my schedule and that worked well for me. Cons: Pricey ($73/month and the first month was around $120). (Two personal training sessions were included.) They have a terrible cancellation policy, whereby your cancellation isn't "effective" until 30 days after you actually cancel. For example, I was moving in February and went in the first week of January to cancel my membership. I was told my cancellation wouldn't become "effective" until the first week of February, which mean't that I had to pay for February. I'm sure it's all spelled out on page 40 of the membership agreement in 4 point Wing Dings font, but I think business should generally avoid this kind of behavior as it makes customers hate them. Well, I knew I should have taken the advice of the other reviews on this site but I wanted to create my own opinion... I will start with the complaint most people have, the price. It's $99 a month! That's to USE the gym, take the free classes and use the pool. Yes they have an abundance of space with a lot of work out equipment. But don't most gyms? You don't have to wait for cardio equipment, but during peak hours the rest of the equipment is in use and you do have to wait or change up what machines you are going to use. How about the price of childcare- $30 a month PER child. I would maybe say it's worth it if my girlfriend hasn't told me that the 4 out of 5 times she was there they had the TV on for her kid to watch. They try to sell that there are all these benefits for the kids but I have yet to see anything in action. When I joined I didn't want to sign up either of my girls for childcare but wanted to get my oldest daughter in for swim. The membership guy tried telling me that they would "throw in the first month of swim for free", but mind you they fail to tell you that your child must be enrolled in childcare in order to take the classes... Why do I need childcare when I am in the room watching my kid swim for 1 hour a week? Today was the best. I called because my husband wanted to come with me to the gym since he currently belongs to the campus gym up the street and we never get the chance to work out together. I called to see if I could bring a guest (most gyms I've been to give you 1 or 2 passes a month), they told me that because I only had a regular membership (which mind you is $99) I would have to pay $30 for 24 hours. Are you kidding me?? How many times do you expect this person to come in a 24 hour time frame, every 3 hours? Give me a break. The most positive thing I can say about this gym is the yoga class I take every Saturday. Svetlana is the best instructor. I feel amazing every time I leave the class. Don't waste your money if you don't have to. There are other gyms around that may not be as large and have nice equipment and a pool, but if go to the gym to work out and get fit, spend your money else where. read more

Lifetime has been great to me. Anytime that I need guest passes they have been super accommodating. They always greet me with a smile and have a positive attitude. The machines are also great and haven't had any issues with any of them. read more

I've paid a total of 60 bucks for 3 total visits to ball, and work out with my friend. And I will say while the gym is big and spacious, the cost it is to work out at this gym IS DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT! 1) There are so many old wrinkly senior citizens in the sauna, and in the swimming pool. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with them, but... they always love to get naked, and walk around. You'd think at some point they'd at least put a towel on, or something.. 2) I was trying to work out on some machines, but guess what? Sorry for the inconvenience, this machine is currently not available for use. As a server, and a full time receptionist, I'm beginning to hate those words with a vengeance. 3) Why the hell are all these trainers so rude? I had a problem using a machine that I don't have at XSPORT, and this guy seemed to have a chip on his shoulder when he was trying to explain it to me. I also noticed at during our conversation, there were some diminutive glances at this one female with a nice butt. I understand when you think you're a hot shot, because you can learn how to work out, and take nutritional/protein supplements to get buff, and jacked. Doesn't mean you should disrespect people... especially if I was a potential customer thinking of signing up. 4) There are rarely ever any help or service. All the people who work at the gym seem disinterested in helping out, or giving any advice. I asked for advice on where this machine was, and this woman with blond hair just rolled her eyes at me, then said its location. Thanks for the attitude. 5) The facility while albeit nice seemed to be pretty dirty at night. One time we went to go ball, and work out on some reps for bench presses, and the bathroom had what seemed like vomit on the floor of the Men bathroom. Yuck. After a rigorous full court game, I decided to go take a quick dump, and mind you that was a two hours later. And the vomit was still on the floor. Double yuck. There needs to be more cleaning at night especially past ten o' clock done, or make it somewhat of a priority as that is really disgusting to see. I work at XSPORT, and I think I'll stay here for the time being. I'm a college student who works two jobs, and is going to school partially part/full time. I can't afford to pay 80 bucks a month for the problems that seems to have been re-occurring back and forth. read more
