They sent me a contract, they answered any questions I had and made me feel good about choosing them and the move itself. You know how it is and how stressed out you are when its moving time. Had to move about 40 miles away and with Atlanta traffic, even on a Saturday, it was nice to leave it up to someone else. Plus they didnt charge for the drive to get to my house I was moving out of. Thought that was really nice. They did charge me time to drive to my new home but again thats very fair. Second, the bad- I got the three-crew option. The leader was a long term employee and knew what he was doing. The other two gents were new and I am not complaining, we all have to start sometime. But they were slow and always seemed to be on their phone when something was not in their hand. I felt like if they were working at a faster clip it would not have to have taken the extra time I paid for. Really needed to micromanage the other two and felt like shouldnt have had to do that. Mistakes were made. They left their tools at my old house for disassembling and putting furniture back together. Shouldnt you have a checklist before you leave? Third, the ugly- I have a very expensive bedroom set that I bought five years ago and was all that I was moving that was really nice as it was a paring down move with lots of stuff not coming. They damaged that furniture dropping it on its corners. First, they tried to say it was like that when they moved but later fessed up. The leader of the crew then was like no worries we will send someone out to fix it up. Though I am not a carpenter, I thought there is no way what they did could be fixed. After almost six months of going back and forth they sent me less than 150 dollars. I did not pay for the "extra" insurance, so what I had was the basic insurance. I was naive enough to believe I didnt need the extra insurance. I am paying professionals to move it so dont you know how to move it without damaging it? Thats only a rhetorical question at this point as I know the answer. I liked their business model, just wish the execution was better in my case.

Some how a misunderstanding came about and at the last minute (I do mean last) and she was able to fit me onto her site whew ! When we arrived she had just finished cleaning and treating the unit to be rented. We started the paperwork, she explained everything and later delivered an envelope to me knowing that we were on a time schedule. If you need a storage unit call about availability Ark fills up pretty quickly and the "special rates" are "good for six months only."

Location and price are important but being able to access my unit at anytime and still feel safe is huge for us! Back Savers showed up with so many movers I almost lost count. 6 or 7 of the most clean cut, uniform wearing gentleman. They got to work right away helping me finish wrapping up odds and ends. I opted to provide the boxes and supplies needed for the move but I noticed that they did have extra supplies to wrap the couches etc. We are having to get the crew to come back out again tomorrow because I needed more storage. If I did have the extra storage space today they could have easily finished up today. These people are serious about getting the job done. I will complete my review tomorrow It is tomorrow William and team got it done. Very happy with every aspect and the final bill came in under the estimate. I can't say enough good stuff here. This facility suffers from unprofessional employees, poor service, and outdated facilities…read more I visited Delk Road Self Storage to rent a U-Haul truck. I was greeted with a locked door, although an employee was inside. He was arguing with someone. When he saw me he opened the door and yelled for another worker to come inside. The second guy came in, and I was immediately confused. He was in business clothes but was sweating to the point that he was literally dripping onto the floor. He looked like he had just run a marathon through the Sahara. I asked if he was okay and he said yes, that he had just "been lifting outside" on his lunch break. Odd, but whatever, to each his own. The sweaty guy eventually got my my keys and I was off. I completed my move and dropped off the truck. That's when trouble began. I accidentally left a box in the truck, but only realized it after I left. I called the next morning as soon as they opened and asked if I could come retrieve the box. (I had dropped off the keys in the box the night before, and could not get back into the truck). I was told that I could not get the box and that it had already been discarded. I was also charged a $25 clean-up fee, despite asking if I could come take care of the box myself. The people who work here are the worst kind of lazy - they don't provide any up-front help and then won't work with you when you return your rental. They are completely incompetent, and whatever they are being paid is too much. My advice is to avoid this facility and give your business to a place that will let you claim your own box rather than throwing it away before talking to you.
