However, this is more than a retail store! It offers merchandise for every sport, and there was an exercise class in session, along with several sets of parents watching their children climb the rock wall that's conveniently situated in the center of the building. Wow! My first thought was, I need to tell my niece about this rock wall opportunity for her adventurous kids! There's a cost for the climb, but a quick glance at the pricing seemed reasonable. Here's a fun place to shop and spend time exploring for the whole family. The staff was very friendly in directing us and our cashier, Curtis was helpful, too. The employees at Running Etc will first watch you walk and then pull out of few show selections that they recommend for you. My choices to try on were a pair of Brooks, the Hoka Bondi, and the Hoka Clifton. They were all comfortable but I ultimately chose the Clifton and wow, they feel so good. My arches feel supported and my heels feel like they are nuzzled in on cuddly pillows. They feel so amazing that I want to wear them ALL THE TIME. My husband was also In recently to get fitted and he chose the Hoka Bondi. They also carry great sunglasses at reasonable prices that are perfect for runners. By 7 PM, I still had not received any updates, so I decided to call the store. When I spoke to a Dick's employee about my order, they were unable to locate it and went to fetch their manager, Averie. Upon speaking with Averie, I provided her with my order number and mentioned that I had not received any text messages, inquiring about the status of my order. She informed me that she had not received my order. I asked her why, given that I placed my order online at 3 PM. She patiently listened and requested a few minutes to contact their tech support to determine why my order had not been received. Less than 10 minutes later, Avery called me back to inform me that their system was down, causing delays in processing online orders. She mentioned that I could expect an email by 10 PM notifying me when my order was ready. I agreed to wait. The next day, I called again around 1 PM, and fortunately, Averie answered the call. I informed her that I had not received the email. She asked if she could call me back while she contacted headquarters to find out why my order had not been processed. I was grateful that she was able to handle this herself, as I wouldn't have known where to start. I also appreciated Averie's assistance during my calls; receiving answers from a human is much more reassuring than an automated AI response. The signage is very good, but not necessarily from the road. I had an exchange and Jordan was delighted to assist me. There was a sizing issue at another location I discovered. Jordan went right to work on using their sizing technology for best fit. I had a 3D scan completed with a ln analysis of pressure point on the bottom of my feet. Afterwards Jordan presented this information on an iPad. They were out of the Hoka's color I wanted, but ordered for an I store pickup. After taking care of that I browsed the store. Discount and close out merchandise is in the rear. Several brands of shoes are carried. They also carry high quality inserts and the best brands of socks including Feetures and Wicked Comfort. Garmin watches are also carried. Sign up for Fleet Feet membership free online and get points for purchases for rewards money. It's easy to do. Jordan mentioned they are a franchised store with two locations. The other is in Greenville, NC. Not taking anything away from other area running stores, but in my opinion the sizing technology is superior at Fleet Feet. I will return soon to pick up my shoes.
