I downloaded the Dick's app to make online purchases. I received a confirmation order number along with my receipt detailing the amount I paid and the items I ordered. I placed my order by 3 PM and opted for in-store pickup, registering my number for text updates regarding my order. However, I did not receive any text notifications. I then returned to the Dick's app to chat with their AI assistant. I inquired about my order and when it would be ready for pickup, and the AI indicated that it would be ready within two hours. By 7 PM, I still had not received any updates, so I decided to call the store. When I spoke to a Dick's employee about my order, they were unable to locate it and went to fetch their manager, Averie. Upon speaking with Averie, I provided her with my order number and mentioned that I had not received any text messages, inquiring about the status of my order. She informed me that she had not received my order. I asked her why, given that I placed my order online at 3 PM. She patiently listened and requested a few minutes to contact their tech support to determine why my order had not been received. Less than 10 minutes later, Avery called me back to inform me that their system was down, causing delays in processing online orders. She mentioned that I could expect an email by 10 PM notifying me when my order was ready. I agreed to wait. The next day, I called again around 1 PM, and fortunately, Averie answered the call. I informed her that I had not received the email. She asked if she could call me back while she contacted headquarters to find out why my order had not been processed. I was grateful that she was able to handle this herself, as I wouldn't have known where to start. I also appreciated Averie's assistance during my calls; receiving answers from a human is much more reassuring than an automated AI response. I stopped by to see if they had and Jordan Jumpman brand items like they sell on line! Sadly to say unless I overlooked it there was not one piece of clothing that displayed the jumpman Jordan brand, not one!!!.. I didn't even see any of the Jordan retro sneakers that they display on line either! I even put it a raffle for a pair of 11 Jordan Gama, size 11 on line but yet they didn't have not one pair of Jordan retro to sell.. Maybe I'm missing something but that seems like false advertising if you have stuff on line but nothing in store? I haven't been here in what seems like forever, since my kids are grown now, but needed a pickle ball paddle for myself and decided to go in and check their selection out. They had plenty to choose from, and I am happy with the selection I made. Staff were very helpful once they realized I was over there, and the store has plenty of options for all kind of sports. We had an amazing experience last night at the College Drive location. Sales Associate Ben was so helpful in selecting a new baseball bat for our son. He was very patient, and did not push any particular bat on us regardless of price. Escorted us to an area where my child could physically try all the bats out, and helped us select one that was perfect. Even offered to change out the grip tape for us to help my son feel like it was more "his". Ben, thank you for a great experience and making it so much fun for our ball player! read more

Store is small than others in the area but it's nice having the basics nearby. However, staff isn't always helpful. I usually have to go find someone. Or, it's too busy and while staff is there you are waiting forever. I use the reward card so I get the $10 vouchers in the mail when I spend so much money. Which saves on driving farther for some things. They do specials for kids sports in season....like soccer shoes/guards/ball for $20. The clothing section is decent and I like some of the brands they carry. However, they don't carry any special sizes. If a larger person wants to work out they aren't going to find workout wear here. It's geared to the athlete size person not the beginners who want to get in shape. They do have large selection of shoes if you know what you want. If you are just getting into running I would go to Running Etc for an evaluation. but since I love my Brooks I can get them here. Overall, I do shop here a lot. I just really like the larger store in VB. I wish the staff here were more helpful read more

After being referred here my a local shoe shop that couldn't assist me I came here with high hopes to find a shoe that could support my high arch and was good for cross training activities (excluding running). I had to wait 15 minutes to find someone to help me, there were no employees in the store. They assisted me with finding a high arch support shoe, except it was for running, then I was given a high endurance shoe but no support. Dicks website offers a lot of crossfit/endurance shoes but none of them are in the stores which is disappointing since I need to try them on. The search continues. read more

I love going to Dick's Sporting Goods albeit the amount of money you spend trying to A) Have fun and B) Stay healthy. You would think that stuff to keep you in shape and healthy would be a bit cheaper. Kind of the same concept as McDonalds having a $1 cheeseburger, but a $7 salad. Anyway, I didn't get a chance to interact with too many staff members but the ones I did interact with were very helpful. I placed an order online went inside for pickup, and they brought my item out. Worst experience ever!! I took my Diamond Back bike in for a brake pad repair on Friday, 27 November 19, which was Black Friday. I was told by the manager that due to limited technicians available and holidays that it would take longer for the repairs. I said, "fine, I can wait 2-3 weeks." When I called on the 30th December, I was told it would be completed as soon as possible and asked to pick it up within a week. I decided to pick up the bike on Friday, 03 January 20. I had trouble finding someone to assist me and they had trouble locating my bike. After fifteen minutes, the young technician brought out a bike which I thought was mine, looked very similar. After getting home, I realized this bike wasn't mine, it had a wider seat, rusted chain and bike pad repair had not been done. In making several attempts to reach out to the store sales manager in which I was told that it was my bike and there was nothing more they could do for me. I contacted local District Manager, Cory Dennison and was told he would look into it for me. I had another store sales manager from this same store tell me that it was my bike and was rude and unprofessional over the phone. When I told him that if the person comes in for their bike, that they could call me. He states, "that won't be necessary because it's your bike." I really would like my bike back and don't want to ride someone else's bike. I was greatly disappointed in Dick's Sporting Goods, never had any problems. What happened to customer service? read more

This place is gigantic., well organized, and very clean. The shoe choices are nice, however, I hate that it's pretty much what you see is what you get. The upside, though, is that they can order it online for you with free shipping. I met with Jason (I believe his name was) and he is truly the reason why I am writing this review. He was in the Golf section but a jack of all trades seeing as I saw him re-stringing a tennis racket. He was incredibly helpful, funny, and an all around pleasure. I came here because I had to get my son soccer gear for his upcoming season. This is his first time paying competitive soccer so we were not very experienced in knowing that to look for and where to find certain things. We met a very nice lady whose name I wish I would have gotten but I believe she works in the soccer section up in the front. She was sooooo helpful. She hand held us through the process. She helped us pick out cleats, shin guards, socks and a ball. She kept checking on us to make sure everything was working out. It was very hectic in there as many others were getting their soccer gear as well but she didn't make us feel like she was very busy. They were running a great soccer special with the cleats, shin guards and ball for $35. They didn't have any more balls in the size we needed but she told us we could just pay the difference for the ball we had to choose. The only gripe that I had was at the register. The cashier didn't ring us up for the special. When I asked why he said it was because I didn't get the right ball. I explained to him what the sales person said and he honored it but I was disappointed he didn't stop while ringing it up and ask us if we were trying to get the special. However since the sales person was so great I didn't retract a star. I will definitely visit this location again when its time for new things. read more
