I am writing to describe my experience while shopping at the Commack store of Consumers, Kitchens…read moreand Baths . As I suppose most people do when making such an expensive purchase such as a kitchen , I did a fair amount of shopping . I stopped into Consumers for two reasons , one because they were close to the home location and two , because I noticed they had been around for years . I met with Patrick Curren , a sales associate and kitchen designer . Thus is the reason for my letter . This guy was fantastic , in every way . He planned our kitchen , giving us ideas we didn't think were possible in our galley space. He was current , knew the trends , and was patient . He never pressured us , knew his products and gave us food for thought , and that kept us coming back . We took his appliance store recommendation and ordered the Quartz counter tops through Consumers as well . We came away feeling that we got the best products available for our budget . He was responsive to our concerns when we had then , offered solutions and all in a timely fashion , Patrick Cutran is truly an asset to your business anf is the sole reason we shopped at Consumers . He will be recommended each and every chance I get .

As of today in December 2, I have still heard nothing from consumer kitchens - Sold me $68k of…read moredefective StarMark painted cabinets and then went silent In 2019 I purchased over $70,000 of StarMark Syracuse Maple Black painted cabinetry through Consumers Kitchens & Baths (multiple Long Island locations). By 2023-2025 every single door, drawer front, end panel, and even the glued-in cabinet boxes are catastrophically failing: * Paint bubbling and peeling on untouched surfaces and raised center panels * Miter joints opening * Rails warping and delaminating MasterBrand's own November 21, 2025 letter (photos attached to this review) admits the finish is "compromised" and the MDF panels swollen, yet blames me for "excessive moisture/water damage and normal wear." They offered to replace only 14 pieces (less than half) as a "one-time courtesy" and demanded I permanently waive my Lifetime Warranty rights. Consumers Kitchens & Baths response? Complete silence. They sold me cabinets that fail multiple mandatory ANSI/KCMA A161.1 tests (Finish Adhesion 5.4.1, Joint Strength 5.3, Shrinkage & Heat 5.8, Humidity Resistance 4.3.3/4.3.6), took my money, and now refuse to stand behind the sale or help force MasterBrand to honor the warranty. This is the exact same defect dozens of other 2019-2022 StarMark/Schuler/Omega painted cabinet owners are experiencing nationwide. Consumers Kitchens knew or should have known these painted finishes were failing across the country, yet they kept selling them. If you're considering painted cabinets from Consumers Kitchens & Baths, run the other way. They will happily take your six-figure check and then disappear the moment the paint starts peeling off the walls. Do not hire this contractor…read more Our experience was extremely stressful and resulted in significant problems throughout the project. The work was never completed to industry standards, and we were left with numerous serious issues, including defective workmanship and damage to our home -- including a basement flooding incident that occurred during the course of the work. Despite having a signed contract with clear expectations, those terms were not followed, and attempts to resolve issues or have the work properly completed were unsuccessful. We paid for a quartz countertop listed in the contract $1500 and he put in Formica. We are still taking the steps to get our money back but I want to warn everyone We also had serious concerns regarding licensing and insurance. Documentation that was provided raised questions about whether proper credentials and coverage were in place, which we found out he lied and is not licensed with Suffolk county and he forged his photocopied picture of it. This is all very alarming as homeowners trusting someone to work in our home we would have never hired him. There were ongoing concerns about professionalism and respect for our property. While I was nine months pregnant and we had our own dogs, the contractor brought his personal dogs INTO OUR HOME, allowed them to urinate throughout the backyard, and repeatedly left the front door open, which resulted in our dogs getting out and roaming the street while we were at work -- an unsafe and upsetting situation. There were also instances of unprofessional conduct on site, including making messes in bathroom areas and yelling at employees, creating an uncomfortable environment. We have had to spend significant time and resources addressing unfinished work and correcting problems that should never have occurred. Home renovations are a major investment, and homeowners deserve transparency, accountability, and professionalism. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend that others look elsewhere.

My wife and I were delighted by the beautiful work done by ATOZ Renovations. We're not in the habit…read moreof writing rave reviews. (We're New Yorkers after all.) But the job they did deserves recognition. Among the many people worth a shout-out: designer Chaya Uzan whose enthusiasm and ideas gave us a sense that our project was quite special; and Robbie Goldberg, our day-to-day contact and project manager, who brought a craftsman's eye to all aspects of the job. When problems were encountered, problems were fixed. An example: once we installed a new oven in the kitchen we realized that we would have to do without a favorite built-in spice cabinet. Robbie came up with ingenious fix requiring some custom carpentry so that the spice rack did not disappear but became an integral of the whole. Anthony, our renovation expert, was our first contact with A to Z. He encouraged us not to give up on what we wanted the project to look like even though other renovators had told us it was impossible to do. He also offered to answer any questions we might have along the way. Then there's Shevy, the permit and insurance coordinator. She dealt with the necessary paperwork and kept the inspectors at bay so we did not have to deal with those headaches. And last but not least, Mario, the site manager, who was there every day, hands-on, always professional and pleasant. On that note, the entire team seemed to like one another and treated us and each other with a refreshing degree of decency and consideration. To summarize: The team at ATOZ was thoroughly professional and kept us informed with clear, consistent communication every step of the way. Importantly, the team worked efficiently to stay on schedule and were fair when an unexpected issues arose, providing clear solutions. The final result is exceptional, and the quality of work exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend ATOZ to anyone.

Very disappointed. I was highly recommended by the salesperson Walter at NDA to purchase wood…read morecabinets. My husband wanted to spend less and buy composite. I specifically asked Walter what is the warranty. He said "forever". Told me i could contact them at anytime they would help me. We spent 90,000 on a custom kitchen. Now I am being told they no longer can order the touch up kit because the manufacturer doesn't stopped making the color. The representative Michelle said, In all the years dealing with this manufacturer Kitchen-Craft whenever they stopped making a color they will no longer make touch up kits. But if you want to have the doors replaced they will customize for you. It can't be a few doors, it needs to be many. My kitchen is still young and we are seniors hardly use it. They should find a way to help me get a touch-up paint without unnecessarily replacing costly doors. Nicole, in reference to your response below, if you recall you transferred me to Michelle. As stated above, Michelle told me i could not just replace one or two doors. She referenced another customer who had 8 or 9 replaced. She was able to help them after a color had been discontinued. "They would customize as they were purchasing many doors and she didn't think the company would accommodate me". Obviously, the company has a way to make discontinued colors. I can work with a small bottle. It is very fair of me to hold you responsible when i was told i would never have a problem. You made no earnest attempt to help me solve the issue without replacing many costly doors. I will call company directly myself and see if i can get the color. Benjamin Moore makes a sea shell and it looks very similar. From what I understand online this company is in line with Benjamin Moore who still makes sea shell white. Hopefully they can confirm this is the same color. Maybe you have learned something here to help other customers. My purpose in writing this review is informative for other customers as 90,000 is a lot of money to spend and then be told there is nothing to be done.
