I stopped into Consumers for two reasons , one because they were close to the home location and two , because I noticed they had been around for years . I met with Patrick Curren , a sales associate and kitchen designer . Thus is the reason for my letter . This guy was fantastic , in every way . He planned our kitchen , giving us ideas we didn't think were possible in our galley space. He was current , knew the trends , and was patient . He never pressured us , knew his products and gave us food for thought , and that kept us coming back . We took his appliance store recommendation and ordered the Quartz counter tops through Consumers as well . We came away feeling that we got the best products available for our budget . He was responsive to our concerns when we had then , offered solutions and all in a timely fashion , Patrick Cutran is truly an asset to your business anf is the sole reason we shopped at Consumers . He will be recommended each and every chance I get .

By 2023-2025 every single door, drawer front, end panel, and even the glued-in cabinet boxes are catastrophically failing: * Paint bubbling and peeling on untouched surfaces and raised center panels * Miter joints opening * Rails warping and delaminating MasterBrand's own November 21, 2025 letter (photos attached to this review) admits the finish is "compromised" and the MDF panels swollen, yet blames me for "excessive moisture/water damage and normal wear." They offered to replace only 14 pieces (less than half) as a "one-time courtesy" and demanded I permanently waive my Lifetime Warranty rights. Consumers Kitchens & Baths response? Complete silence. They sold me cabinets that fail multiple mandatory ANSI/KCMA A161.1 tests (Finish Adhesion 5.4.1, Joint Strength 5.3, Shrinkage & Heat 5.8, Humidity Resistance 4.3.3/4.3.6), took my money, and now refuse to stand behind the sale or help force MasterBrand to honor the warranty. This is the exact same defect dozens of other 2019-2022 StarMark/Schuler/Omega painted cabinet owners are experiencing nationwide. Consumers Kitchens knew or should have known these painted finishes were failing across the country, yet they kept selling them. I took a number and after waiting about 20 minutes for my number to be called, was greeted by a design consultant - Thomas Dubensky. He was knowledgeable and patient. He answered my questions and then placed the order and indicated that the mirror was on back-order and should be available within 2-3 weeks. This was no problem for me. Happy to report that Consumers Kitchen & Bath contacted me by phone during the week and said that the order was complete. I scheduled the delivery and the order was delivered in perfect condition yesterday (Saturday). It took less than a week for me to receive my order from the time I ordered and paid for it! BTW, Thomas Dubensky was kind enough to facilitate me getting replacement parts for a Kraftmaid vanity I purchased 13 years ago! He furnished me with a copy of the invoice and details for me to contact the manufacturer to obtain replacement parts for the soft close drawers that no longer soft close.

The quality and durability of the cabinets are horrible. The twenty year old cabinets we replaced actually held up better than the five year old Star Mark Kitchen Cabinets. We just wanted a different style. You can go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy a better quality cabinet vs the garbage from Star Mark. The cost from Consumers to replace a door or panel is ridiculously high. Not worth the cost. I've learned my lesson. Save your time and money and buy quality cabinets from a different establishment. Shame on Consumers for selling such Low quality cabinets.

We have redone bathrooms, the kitchen twice as well as the laundry room. What I appreciate most about this establishment is the staff. They never fail to aim to please. They are extremely patient and make a concerted effort to listen to our needs without pushing the envelope for expensive materials. They always take the consumer's budget into consideration and stay with in those parameters. It is also incredible to see the longevity of the sales people there. I have not seen a huge turnover in there been people that I can remember from many years ago. In these days, the new trend seems for people to go from one job to another after a couple of years. This is certainly not the case at Old Country Ceramic and is definitely a testament to the way they the employees must feel about their work. They have a huge selection of beautiful tile's in every price range possible. I am proud to share some recent pictures of two bathrooms that were renovated within the last year in our home. All the tiles, grout, etc. was purchased under the guidance of some incredible sales people. They were so helpful in making my dreams come to reality. For my master bathroom, I wanted to achieve a very tropical,zen, spa like retreat. The guest bathroom was previously a bedroom and I wanted at perfectly elegant , yet understated place for guests. The work was never completed to industry standards, and we were left with numerous serious issues, including defective workmanship and damage to our home -- including a basement flooding incident that occurred during the course of the work. Despite having a signed contract with clear expectations, those terms were not followed, and attempts to resolve issues or have the work properly completed were unsuccessful. We paid for a quartz countertop listed in the contract $1500 and he put in Formica. We are still taking the steps to get our money back but I want to warn everyone We also had serious concerns regarding licensing and insurance. Documentation that was provided raised questions about whether proper credentials and coverage were in place, which we found out he lied and is not licensed with Suffolk county and he forged his photocopied picture of it. This is all very alarming as homeowners trusting someone to work in our home we would have never hired him. There were ongoing concerns about professionalism and respect for our property. While I was nine months pregnant and we had our own dogs, the contractor brought his personal dogs INTO OUR HOME, allowed them to urinate throughout the backyard, and repeatedly left the front door open, which resulted in our dogs getting out and roaming the street while we were at work -- an unsafe and upsetting situation. There were also instances of unprofessional conduct on site, including making messes in bathroom areas and yelling at employees, creating an uncomfortable environment. We have had to spend significant time and resources addressing unfinished work and correcting problems that should never have occurred. Home renovations are a major investment, and homeowners deserve transparency, accountability, and professionalism. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend that others look elsewhere.

He measured the space and I was hoping to discuss design options based off of pictures I've found online but he was overall not very interested and when I asked if he would like me to email the pictures of designs that I've found he simply said no I do this all the time I know what you're looking for. He tells me he will get back to me the following week with an estimate. No call so I call to check in, he said he'll get back to me beginning of the next week. So he calls and wants me to come in the store to look at the design and will not email it to me to it's against their policy. I ask him for an estimate of cost and he tells me an insane amount of $$ that wasn't too far off of what I paid to do my entire kitchen just 3 years ago. I let him know that is way out of my budget but considering there is probably other design options we could put together that might change the price, can we take another look after re working it a little, but he refused and said I'm probably getting better pricing because I'm getting quotes from businesses using Chinese imports and they don't work with those. I called another place and they had someone here the next day- he discussed so many options with me! Asked me questions I didn't even think of before like spacing between top and bottom, and counter height. Just provided so much more productivity to our consultation and spent 40 min talking with me, where NDA guy was here for 5 minutes total. He said he'll work on getting something over to me by end of week and gave me his card to contact him if I think of any other questions or possible modifications to what we've discussed! That is the level of service I'm expecting and especially when you want to come at with me an insane price! Bring your business elsewhere.
