I'm so glad I got my roof redone, to fix up the mess FHR had made! They did my roof years ago... the guy tried to overcharge me by "miscounting" how many sheets of plywood were left after replacing the rotted wood. Years later, I had leaks here and there and found out why... the installer didn't install the roof tiles correctly, so over time moisture and water got in leading to rotting wood, a crack in my ceiling, water gushing in from outside, and water leaking in down the wall between my Florida Room and dining room due to the lines where the rooves met not being sealed properly; all that rotten wood inside the wall had to be replaced! At the time the installer just slapped on cement in the space between the chimney and roof, so over time it all cracked. At another part of the roof, instead of using flashing the installer used caulk over the screws. The folks who installed my new roof were appalled at the previous job, and after taking pictures and showing me, I was appalled as well. At the time they did the roof on my house they had gotten good reviews and I'm not sure why. I will never ever trust these guys to work on my house after I found out what a horrible job they ended up doing on my roof. At the time my husband and I were new homeowners still learning the ins and outs of home repairs, and they totally took advantage. Buyer Beware! Please make sure you inspect all work closely and do your own research before handing over any money and trusting people to work on your house. Lesson learned! read more

FHR , Jim gave me a reasonable estimate, then sent handymen who were doing roofing work between coming to my home instead of professionals ie: electrician, plumber, tile installer! Pictures below show uneven grout lines even with the spacers used as well as mixing stacking and offset patterns on tile! When I called Jim out on the mess his men were making he became insulted! I insisted they remove the tile, then found out his men didn't seal the durarock at all and his tile installer Nelson who he said was his "best" put tile adhesive on like pancakes instead of troweling it on as seen in pics! After a couple of years these tiles would have started coming off which would have been catastrophic with the tiles above my head!! And as far as the electrical, he put in the cheapest hi hat lights and put in led bulbs instead of using sealed led lights and his man also took out my gfi outlet and put in regular instead! The fan was also the cheapest you could buy and nowhere near the power needed to handle the size of the bathroom! Also while pulling out the existing floor his men ruptured my baseboard heater knocking out my whole second floor for which I had to call in my own plumber to fix at my own expense!! Jim then refused to send competent workman to redo job and wanted to back out of contract with only minimal money back! After going back and forth I did get more of my money back but not all!! Please stay far away from this company, Jim will promise the world and give you a fistful of dirt!! He's a smooth salesman but he seems to subcontract out to workman he picks up at Home Depot or outside 7-11!! read more

Owner is a used car salesman, promises the world and never delivers. He doesn't come on site or do any work, instead uses subcontractors he communicates almost none of the details to so you essentially have to act as you own project foreman. Expect endless delays and multiple call backs to get the project completed (if you're lucky). As they always say, you get what you pay for. read more

On November 3rd, 6 months ago now, my mother recommended this company to do my windows in my house. I sat down with Jimmy and they threw me a hell of a sales pitch. He told be he hopes to have the windows done before Thanksgiving, if not definitely before Christmas. He told me he was going to put the order in immediately and that he did not have to measure my windows because he has the measurements of them already through google... I thought that was strange and have never knew you could do that... but I'm very new to this and gave him the benefit of the doubt.... handed him a deposit and then he disappeared for a short time. He was very bad at keeping in touch, constantly screening my calls (I know this because If I called from an unfamiliar number he would answer) and always had an excuse. Anyway... he did not make his Thanksgiving or Christmas dead line... then finally in early February he sends "His best window guy" to measure the windows at my house... obviously the Google measurements was a made up thing... then he finally puts the order for the windows. 3 weeks go by and the windows show up at my house, so I put them in my garage and inform him that they have arrived. Then he tells me he should be there by the weekend. He tells me he will be here next weekend every week for a little over a month before he finally sets up a date. Mind you he is still very difficult to get a hold of and never has a definite answer. So he tells me he will finally be sending a crew and I need to take off Monday and Tuesday. Monday morning he calls me and says his guys are stuck on another job and will be there in the afternoon... those guys never showed up. I took a day off for nothing. But Tuesday morning a DIFFERENT CREW shows up and takes out 4 of my windows... and when they went to put the new windows in NON OF THE WINDOWS THAT HIS "BEST WINDOW GUY" MEASURED FIT! THEY WERE ALL OFF BY AN INCH... ALL 13 WINDOWS. And they broke 4 of my windows coming out... so they SCREW my windows back in and left... now I can't even open them... a week later he sends another crew to remeasure all the windows... but then decides he wants to make these windows fit by hacking up my frames. I told him to give me my money back and take these windows back... again... a month of screening my calls goes by as I sit here with no money to move on and screwed shut windows... thanks fhr construction. Update: finally got some of my money back. Jimmy shows up at my house and offers to properly reframe my windows and trim on him. He figures he would rather lose on material then the 4k on windows. Makes sense. He gives me some time to think about it. After he leaves that night I call him to take him up on his offer thinking... hell how much more can he really mess up... I made it this far... BUT CAN YOU BELIEVE HE BLEW ME OFF. He did answer me... I called him the next day... he told me he would call me back and never did... so now I have these windows sitting in my garage and I still have to chase him for the rest of my money Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER RESPECTABLE COMPANYS. Do not make the same mistake I have. read more

As New home owners looking for a trustworthy construction company is both daunting and stressful. This was not the case with FHR Construction. Jimmy was patient and explained the roofing processes. When the day came to install the new roof, the FHR crew team was so well organized & efficient. Even the clean up was great, they were so careful to clean up the nails and debris because of our dog. Hired them for windows and siding. Tried to install windows not agreed upon. Got right windows but installation was not done correctly. Leaked because of caulking not done right. Will not use again. Will warn anyone who ask. Had more problems just do not use. read more

Jim {FHR owner} and I contracted to remove 2 layers of shingles and install a GAF deluxe 30 year roof system plus all new 1x6 composite facial boards plus a new chimney cover and cap.
