Very Disappointed - Would Not Recommend My 83-year-old parents hired Great Rock for new quartzite countertops and backsplash after multiple in-person meetings with the owner. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a huge letdown. Each time the crew came to install, something went wrong -- cracked quartzite, poorly cut cabinets (for a sink we ordered directly from them), and rough, visible seams. Despite sharing a detailed list of concerns, the owner never returned as promised. Instead, he sent different crews each time, none of whom corrected the issues. The craftsmanship was sloppy, the crews were careless, and my elderly parents were treated as if they were a nuisance. The final straw was when they failed to properly measure for the cooktop, leaving my 83-year-old father to figure out how to reinstall it himself. What started as a hopeful project turned into a stressful, frustrating mess. We chose Great Rock because the owner seemed committed and involved -- but after the first day, we never saw him again. Sadly, I cannot recommend this company. They did not deliver on their promises, their work was subpar, and their treatment of my aging parents was deeply disappointing. read more

Last week I had my old granite removed and replaced with new beautIful granite by Great Rock Granite & Marble. They came highly recommended by a few neighbors. The owner, Freddy, promptly came to look at the job and within a day I chose the slabs in his yard and a template was made. On recommendation we visited Great Rock for new Quartz counter tops for our baths. Selection was excellent and the store staff very helpful. However after that did not work out so well, The measuring folks showed up 6 + hours after their appointment time The installation crew 4 + hours late after their appointment time That's 10 hours we had to wait for them On installation 1 vanity they pulled away from the wall and wall had to be repainted 1 vanity they cracked the drain pipe on removing the old sink and wall had to be opened up and repaired On a double sink they supplied with 2 different kinds of drain trim I nicely emailed to them twice to just send me a new one and I would install it ,no answer till I called and was told they are waiting for it. Finally i just bought a new one on my own to match. The job did turn out very nicely in the end but all this should never have happened. read more

After getting frustrated with Home Depot and Loew's I went to Great Rock I dealt weith Katy who is very knowledgable and professionable .I told her of the long wait for installation between removal and replacement of the new tops and she worked with me so that they removed the old tops and installed the new ones the next day and beat the big box retailers prices. The granite tops look beautiful. Freddie did a great job and Katy saw to it that it was done on schedule. I couldn't be more pleased. read more

Buyer Beware, I'm so disappointed, we walked into the showroom of a local business, a very nice place and very nice people. Having problems with The Home Depot I decided to shop around for a small granite counter top. They were $20 a square foot cheaper so I jumped on the opportunity. Now, I'm a union tradesman and I've worked side by side with the granite guys. 1st I asked the very nice young lady: if we could use the cut out from my sink, which was going to be bigger than the piece that I needed for the end? She tells me that when they cut the sink out that piece falls to the floor and breaks, now I always thought that the granite slab was placed on a cutting table and cut with a very high pressure water jet. The slab gets lifted and the cutout stays on the table. But I don't question it and set the appointment to get measurements, for an accurate estimate. A very nice and professional young man showed up with top notch modern equipment. Now I say this because these people are professionals and seem to know what they're doing.. Again, professional and great equipment to insure accuracy. So why is it that when I measured the square footage of my counter I had one number, and on their "Professional and Accurate" estimate, it had another number, and guess in who's favor? $260. In their favor, 4 square more. Makes me wonder how many people actually measure their own countertops? Now, I don't know. Hay, it could have been an honest mistake, but if you are planning to get your countertops done, I suggest that you double check and measure it yourself, because honest mistakes can cost you a lot of money. I had my kitchen redone 4 years ago in August. Great Rock installed a new quartz countertop and a stone counter for an island. Part of the contract signed was for an undermount sink to be installed on the quartz countertop. This past week the undermount sink detached from the counter. Upon inspection of the sink, it was only attached using silicon. There were no undermount clips utilized for the install. When I contacted the company I was told that they wouldn't repair the sink. I was told that the warranty on the work was over and would need to pay to fix the damage caused by their company's negligence when installing the sink. read more

Very friendly and professional staff at Great Rock from Katie and the front desk to the guy who comes and templates the counter tops. They go above and beyond when they can, I usually have to stay within a budget for the kitchens I do and they make sure I get the counter top I need for the budget I have. Katie is very knowledgable and even takes the time to take me in the yard to show and explain the granites. I have had 3 kitchen counter tops installed within the last 6 months and every one has been a perfect fit. Went to Great Rock because they did an amazing job for my in-laws and the service that they got was exceptional. When I went to remodel my bathroom I did not even bother to shop around, this was the company I wanted to use. So why 2 stars? In the beginning the person who priced out the stone gave us a much lower price ($65/sqft vs $90/sqft). They apologized for the error and extended me a discount to $80/sqft which I was ok with. We went back, picked the stone we liked from their nice selection and gave a deposit. When we knew a date with the general contractor when a template could be made we made the appointment a week in advance and they arrived on time to do so. Installation date was set up on April 24th for installation on May 4th between 9 and 11am. My contractor only had a few punch list items so he was on site that morning however at about Noon he messaged me asking where they were. I contacted Great Rock and they "had to call the driver and get back to me". At 1pm I had to call them back to get the run-around that they would be there in about an hour. When they showed up it was very unorganized. They brought the slab in and it was too large, back out it went where they cut it down to size, chipping the edge. Back upstairs to install and now the sink holes were cut too large for the sinks they had with them (that I paid them to supply). So... back out the entire thing went again. Additionally to install the top they cut up my vanity base and over-cut a few areas touching the finished surface, thankfully not easily seen . I never received a call from them, it was my contractor who checked in later that night (after 6pm) who let me know that they would need to come back again and all the mishaps. My contractor ended up staying there an entire day for what was to be half a day and now had to return again. I called the next day at 12:45 on Saturday and "they were going to call me". I spoke with Freddy who was in charge and told him everything that happened. I informed him that this was going to be an added day of labor on my end because of their tardiness and mistakes. He told me that he would take care of the added expense off my bill. We scheduled that Monday May 8th for the 2nd attempt to install the vanity top. May 8th came and they arrived within the window and installed the top. They were able to take care of the chip without using a filler and the stone looked great. My contractor was very unhappy however because the holes they drilled for the faucets were set too far back to the wall. Because of this the Great Rock installers had to drill out parts of the vanity and my contractor had to modify the faucet assembly so that he could squeeze it up into the area, more additional work caused by Great Rock. Following project completion their office called to get final payment. I informed them of the conversation with Freddie and they agreed that we needed to wait for my final bill from the contractor before making the final payment. I offered to pay everything but $500 so they could get most however they declined saying that $500 was too much ( I was unsure what the additional 1 day labor was going to be for 2 men). A few days later they charged my credit card I gave for a deposit without my authorization for the full amount. Everything installed the stone itself looks wonderful. If you did not know the story and my frustration behind the top you would never guess it. I'm not going to argue over the additional labor cost or the fact that they did not honor their agreement... instead I'd rather just give a total experience review of the good and bad this company has to offer. John C, I had Great Rock install my countertops in my Kitchen about 15 months ago. They turned out great. Freddie showed up because we were not sure how to get the island top up the stairs, its 7'x 42", but after a lot of huffing and puffing it's in place and perfect. 2 months ago I ordered two 48" vanity's from consumers and decided for a couple of different reasons to order Quartz tops through them also. Big Mistake two months later no tops their fabricator still had not done a thing with my order and had an attitude about it. Now it's Corona Virus time and everybody is shutting down. I called Freddie and Katie at Great Rock and boy did they bail me out big time with two Calcutta Gold Quartz tops. Fabricated them in two days and they look awesome. Both Katie and Freddie are a pleasure to work with. And the best part they were 30 percent cheaper then Consumers. Thank you guys, my wife loves the tops read more

We shopped around and decided to deal with Great Rock because they were local and recommended. We went a few times before picking out the right piece. Everyone was so kind and patient. They even delivered my countertops a few days early. Our problem was that the granite wasn't sealed right. It has constant "spots" throughout my island and a chip on the end. When we called and called and called and even showed up in person, we were promised Freddy would come by, but he never did. This went on for months until we gave up and dealt with a different company to finish our reno. I would not recommend this company no matter how friendly and fair prices they seem. read more
