A sample was shown to me prior to my ordering in the seller's showroom. The cabinet doors that were manufactured and installed, in my kitchen, looked dirty with random black splotches and in no way looked like the sample shown upon making the original order. When I explained that the hung cabinets were an embarrassment due to the appearance that they were dirty, the owner of the company remarked that I did not choose high end custom cabinets. I explained to him that the cabinets shown to me in his showroom to represent these cabinets looked very different. I also felt violated that he offered me a product that he considered inferior. When he showed me the doors in his showroom, he explained that they were fine cabinets. I in no way ordered black splotchy cabinets. Nobody would have ordered cabinets that looked like the ones that were originally hung in my kitchen. Upon my insistence, the doors were re-manufactured and were installed five weeks later with a marginal improvement. There are still random black splotches. Reluctantly I accepted the doors having no other alternative. I am dissatisfied with the product, the service, and the ambivalent attitude of the owner.

Roman the owner spent a lot of time working with me to create my perfect kitchen…read more Unlike many of the kitchen designers I worked with prior he actually seemed to care about the final product and his experience clearly showed in the many recommendations on ideal kitchen design he recommended. From the start, I told him I was on a strict timeline with COVID and really needed to get everything done as quickly as possible. He gave a competitive price and the cabinets I selected was the exact cream wood cabinet I had been dreaming of.However I never received an invoice detailing the exact cabinets bought. I requested that he accept the cabinets from the factory and inspect them prior to delivery to my home to reduce incorrect cabinets being delivered and any damage. He agreed and and advised that should not be an issue. On the date of likely delivery I called to find out the status of my cabinets. After several calls /emails Roman informs me that my cabinets did arrive (like a week prior!)but one of the cabinets was not ready so he did not accept delivery and those were sent to storage. I was not happy since I had emphasized the need to get everything as quickly as possible and he had not even communicated this information to me or given me a choice. I requested that all cabinets minus the pending be delivered immediately . When they arrived my contractor called me frantic about multiple cabinets with damage. 3 cabinets had significant damage and others had more minor scratches or paint dents. Cabinets were delivered in cardboard boxes with no protective coverings. I called Roman immediately to relay what I had been told by my contractor. I was upset after not receiving my cabinets on time and to find so many with damage. His behavior was rude unhinged and unprofessional. Yelling at me throughout -He was completely unapologetic - as if it was completely normal to have so many damaged cabinets. He was dismissive - as if I was unreasonable to expect the cabinets to be packaged in a way that would minimize damage. After essentially hanging the phone up on me, as I tried to follow-up the status of the return of my damaged cabinets he refused to continue any contact with me and transferred me to a rep named Skye. In the end Skye was able to get my damaged cabinets changed. However he was snippy and rude in the process. Even to get them to pick up the damaged cabinets initially I was given a ridiculous song and dance that I needed to depose of them even though the contract states clearly it's their responsibility. I would certainly advise anyone to avoid this kitchen design store after my horrific experience. I like to support small businesses but they also need to earn the love. And this place is full of a lot of unrestrained craziness.

From minute 1 I knew that I could work with George. He was personable, knowledgeable, honest and didn't play games. He didn't overcomplicate things and make it seem like a kitchen was a mountain. He filled me with confidence that the job would be handled by a professional. They remodeled my downstairs, from the radiant heat, floors, gas fireplace, kitchen, electric, smart "stuff".. The Ringer team showed up every day, rain, snow, sunshine etc. The team was polite and truly a pleasure to see each day. And my downstairs is gorgeous!! I can truly say I made the right choice with my contractor. I would choose Ringer Construction again and recommend them to anyone that asked and even those that don't.

This was a a very involved project which included a new kitchen, an extension encompassing a new family room downstairs with a master bed/bath above it. We also did the roof, the siding and all windows. Needless to say we were very stressed out and ,after saving for almost 10 years, were not about to hand this to anyone. We interviewed several different companies, from close and far, and couldn't commit. After our first meeting with Gary and Sean we knew we were on to something good. They were personable, flexible and actually listened to what we had to say. Their documentation was complete and made us feel confident we were making the right choice. Was everything perfect, no. The renovation had it's high and lows. Considering how old the house is, we had only a few bad surprises but always felt that they were there for us. We lost power during storm Sandy (before all the walls were in!) and were not thrilled with some of the sub-contractors they hired, which actually brought me to write this review today. One of the few things we weren't completely happy with was the master bathroom tiled floor. Somehow the installation was not up to par with the rest of the work. Gary and his crew never stopped trying to fix it, even after we were set, paid and done. The kicker came a month ago (almost 3 years after the renovation) when my wife noticed that the floor tiles were not sitting properly. We called GB for advice, without any expectations. They called us back right away, as usual, and sent Sean over. What happens next left us absolutely stunned. GB Construction scheduled a day to come and fix the floor for good. They ordered tiles for the entire bathroom, brought in a different crew and redid the floor. Entirely. Left the bathroom cleaner than it was before, and no bill. So here we are, saying thanks and showing our support to a great family-owned business, with good values and the right attitude. Highly recommended!

Where there was a wall leading to nowhere, now there is a solid, beautiful, secure staircase leading to the most bright, sleek looking basement with a three-piece spa-like bathroom. I was a little nervous because I unexpectedly could not be there to give my opinion every day. Boy, did he not need it! Gerry is a genius and more importantly a VISIONARY. There are so many personal touches that on the day I walked into the finished basement I just about cried. Let me begin with the list: He created a finished basement from scratch. He added an egress that is so ample and easy for anyone to climb out of. He added a splitter that has moisture control, air conditioning and heat. He added doors to our water heating unit, just because he thought they would look better enclosed (boy was he right about that). He CREATED a bathroom from scratch. It includes beautiful tile work that he installed; a three-piece bathroom set, an exhaust fan, a special bonus of blue and orange colored lighting (just because he heard that I am a diehard Mets fan) and blue tooth for music! Who does that??? He does. This kind, courteous, good natured man, that my husband enjoyed talking to every day, that's who, Gerry Salzman. As to pricing, I had three estimates. His estimate was the most reasonable. Look no further, trust no one else because his word IS his word. Whatever he says, he means. There were no unexpected "add-ons". The estimate was the final, except anything I wanted in addition to the original contract. We have had multiple projects, from bathroom remodels to kitchens, dormers, etc. My husband and I consider ourselves veterans to the consumer side to home remodeling. In our 30 plus years, we have never dealt with someone this professional and courteous. I hope this helps you to choose Gerry as your home improvement specialist because you will not be disappointed.
