We have redone bathrooms, the kitchen twice as well as the laundry room. What I appreciate most about this establishment is the staff. They never fail to aim to please. They are extremely patient and make a concerted effort to listen to our needs without pushing the envelope for expensive materials. They always take the consumer's budget into consideration and stay with in those parameters. It is also incredible to see the longevity of the sales people there. I have not seen a huge turnover in there been people that I can remember from many years ago. In these days, the new trend seems for people to go from one job to another after a couple of years. This is certainly not the case at Old Country Ceramic and is definitely a testament to the way they the employees must feel about their work. They have a huge selection of beautiful tile's in every price range possible. I am proud to share some recent pictures of two bathrooms that were renovated within the last year in our home. All the tiles, grout, etc. was purchased under the guidance of some incredible sales people. They were so helpful in making my dreams come to reality. For my master bathroom, I wanted to achieve a very tropical,zen, spa like retreat. The guest bathroom was previously a bedroom and I wanted at perfectly elegant , yet understated place for guests. I explained it was a small job in a 10x10 room with a closet and the oak floor had been covered for at least 30 years and in rough shape. We discussed some options and I answered all of his questions about the floor and the room and he said, sight unseen, it just needed a sanding and new coat of finish and would cost X and he could come do the job in 3 days and would only take 1 day. With some mild doubt I agreed but bored for the best, we've been screwed by contractors before. The day and time he said he'd arrive he did. He came in, looked at the existing floor, the bad floor and immediately said it would take 2 days not 1 because the existing floor was oil based, not water which I thought it was. I was pissed because now I'm assuming the job would cost twice as much and this already felt like bait and switch. Luis explained the job would overall take less time to do in total, but has to be spread out to allow drying time between 2 oil based coats rather than 2 water based coats and the price would be impacted. I got ready to ask him to leave and he said the price would GO DOWN $75!!! I asked him to repeat himself, he laughed and said rather than spending the whole day doing the floor it was only going to take him a few hours now, and come back tomorrow for another 30 minutes and that's it. Let me tell you how shocked I was at his honesty and professionalism. I'm today's market with inflation and all the nonsense that goes on with shady people Luis and his team were exactly what you'd hope them to be. They did an immaculate job on a really rough floor in the time they said and under budget. If I could give them more stars I would.
