Last year, they had the BEST warm apple cider donuts - and their hot apple cider was the real deal, not that watered-down stuff you get everywhere else. It was the perfect combo for a chilly autumn day. I was really looking forward to making Dressells Farm a regular weekday stop this fall for that specific treat, but it's a shame they only offer it on weekends. Hopefully, they'll consider offering the hot cider and fresh donuts every day next year so more people can enjoy them!

They've got all the varieties you want, but be aware that depending on when you go, only a couple of them are ripe for the picking. We just came home with a giant bag of Empires, and I couldn't be happier. Pumpkins. They have tiny decorative ones, medium ones for painting/carving, and larger ones for real deal jack-o-lanterns. Fun for the fam. There's a corn maze, a hayride that takes you around the farm and to the apple orchards, animals to feed, an obstacle course, zipline, water cannon, sandbox, tractors to sit on, tires to run on, a giant bounce pillow (like a big trampoline without the hard edges, and the one my girls live for: the giant slide. It's a pretty great slide. We've been the past couple of years in a row, and I'm not going to mess with a good thing. See you out there.

The pricing was affordable with a pint for $6. The docs Pumpkin cider was so good. The apple picking was further in and there was signage directing you to the area. They have 3 different sized bags ranging from $25-$42. We opted for the middle size $35 to fill 20-24lbs of apples. The $42 tote was for the same amount of apples but you paid extra money for the tote. If you brought the tote back to reuse you get $1 off next time. They offer these tools to pick the apples that are high up in the trees for $5. They gave us a map and was told there were tractor stops throughout. If our bags got too heavy we can leave it there and they will transport it back for us. Each bag had a ticket stub so we keep one and can pick it up after. This was the first time I saw something like this done for apple picking. We started all the way in the back and they had a ton of apples. The hike up was very steep though but the views were amazing. The shop sold Apple cider donuts which were freshly made. They also sold an assortment of apple cider with the different apple varieties. The honey crisp apple cider was my fav.

It was a little pricey but it was better than anything I had this year. For the week, we bought a large ham steak and a ham hock for pea soup. I saw something interesting, a black futsu squash? I told my wife, lets buy one and take a chance. Amazing! My wife cooked this squash and it came out deelish. Dessert? My sons inhaled the apple cider doughnuts we bought home for them. Zafars is a hidden gem literally. The road to get here it's right next to the U-Haul store. They have bulk quantity of everything from eggs to French fries and they even have a deli counter. The building itself looks to be fairly new construction. Overall I almost don't want to yelp this place because I don't want too many people to know about it. But places like zafars deserve recognition. I will 100% be back here.
