Very disappointing experience. We were planning to see the movie with an 8:00 PM showing and…read morearrived around 8:05, assuming there would still be previews. The website on facebook says the theater is open until 9:00 PM, so we had no reason to think it would be closed. When we arrived, the doors were locked, nobody was at the front, and the OPEN sign was still lit up. An employee came out from behind the corner, saw us through the window, looked directly at us, and then completely ignored us and walked away. No explanation, no acknowledgment, nothing. If the theater is closed, the hours and sign should reflect that. And if customers are standing outside confused, the least you can do is acknowledge them and explain what's going on. Extremely poor communication and incredibly rude customer service. And we did try calling the theater multiple times and there was no way to actually get a hold of customer service and the AI receptionist hung up on us twice.

The concession stand was great and their combo deals were awesome. We got two sodas, two candies and a large popcorn for around $22! Very reasonable for a movie theatre. We were staying in Astoria and it was definitely worth the 30 minute drive to come out to Neptune theater! We will definitely be back!

I visited here to see one of my favorite bands, and was VERY impressed! It is owned by Sue and Bill, two impressively gracious hosts and just amazingly kind people. The concert room is very comfortable and intimate, but not at all crowded. Volume levels are perfect, and the mix is great. All seats have a great view of the stage, and lighting is exceptionally well done. I was very impressed with and appreciative of the complimentary water, tea, cookies, crackers, and other snacks. There is a donations jar to assist with expenses if you're so inclined. There is plenty of on-site parking as well as free street parking. Peninsula Arts Center is truly one-of-a-kind, and I'll plan my next visit to Long Beach around Peninsula Arts Center!

Goonies never say…read more..... Some movies are classics. I will forever love watching the Goonies. It has always been one of my favorites. The fact it was made in my home state of Oregon just makes it a little bit more awesome. Being in Astoria on vacation made this house a bucket list item. We didn't need to look through the windows at what the new owners had done. Or take items. There is a donation box. Please help pay for the constant vandalism. There was a time a previous owner had stopped access for obvious reasons. Let's try and respect the current owner and not keep the true fans from enjoying a bit of Oregon movie history. Just being in front of this actual lived in house from the Goonies movie is amazing. I really enjoyed thinking about all the movie scenes and how cool it would have been to be on set for filming. So much history. I know we've seen it already but I can't wait to see it up close again.

It's in a neighborhood on a private driveway. Be sure to not park in their driveway or the neighbor's spot. You can park in the neighborhood somewhere and walk up. There's a sign at the bottom of the driveway too, the owners know people will come by to take photos etc, so they aren't bothered by it. Just be respectful and you'll be fine. For any inconvenience, they put out a donation bin if you want to drop a few dollars for coming by. Cool to see the house that I admired as a little kid. Glad to have come by to snap a few photos and see it in person. We walked the neighborhood too, we were out of there in like 20 mins. Childhood memory fulfilled.

This is a fun festival to attend. There are so many great parts about it, but the beer garden is…read morenot one of them. Sorry, lost a point for that. It used to be better but now they are limited and I feel that the area is not as fun as before. Let's talk about the festival.... The mascot is a Razor Clam! Yep, it is! Pretty funny. I actually go every year because I like when the town is booming and this seems to bring people out. Must dos are Chowder competition. You get to sample about 10 of them (2 oz little cups) and vote on your favorite one. It's fun when yours wins. There's free fritters but you only get a small piece (it's free) but it's fun seeing them make it. There's always a band playing. That's kind of fun. Booths, galore. One even had a mermaid in water once. I have seen the festival evolve. They got rid of some things but kept others and made others even better. What I do miss was the free items you would get if you visited specific stores. You would get a little booklet and if you visited one place, you'd get a magnet, if you visited another place, you'd get a key chain, another, you'd get something else. It made it fun to check out different places in the area. Again, it's worth going to and just enjoying everything... Oh, and the best part is that it takes place on a clamming day so before all this, you go clamming bright and early so it doesn't interfere with the festival. The festival even offers razor clamming lessons. I have never gone, but for those who don't have someone to teach them, it's probably worth checking out. April 2025

Hopefully I'll be there in 2016. Long Beach, a town of less than 4,000 souls on a windswept peninsula in Southern Washington opened its doors in April of 2014 inviting seafood lovers and nature lovers to come and visit. I would say the event was a success as I heard one visitor say all the hotels in town were full. Small town, homespun hospitality. Corn Dogs, Bumper Cars, Mini-Golf, what else can you ask for? The bonus for us was,we were staying across the street. The Corn Dogs were busy. We happily waited watching Bumper Cars. It really brought back memories of being at the State Fair. The Bumper Cars were awesome and so were the Corn Dogs.
