I thought everything was a-ok here. Even on Labor Day weekend, it wasnt terribly packed. Theatre was clean, prices lower than big city complexes, friendly service at the concession stand. Yes concessions are expensive. But for me its part of the experience, I love a big tub of buttered popcorn and ice cold pepsi with my first run movie. Sound was decent for small venue. Seats were comfortable enough and clean. Movie times posted were accurate. I'd recommend this place if you're looking to see a flick out here in my hometown of Astoria :) read more

Haven't been to a theater for a movie in years, and we thought "hey let's go see Project Hail Mary on the big screen!" When we got in we found that the movie was showing in the little theater (#2). So, not so big a screen after all. The seats were pretty filled up and we were towards the back where there was a faint but distinct puke-ey smell and a nearby sidewall light that shined in our eyes even after being turned down for the movie. After 20 minutes of commercials the movie finally started, and the sound was so low that we could only make out half the dialog. Walked in 2 adults 3 young children, ordered one large popcorn with a drink. Old red headed lady kept trying to add another drink no matter how many times I said no thank you. Got some candy for the babies. paid, went to movie. 15 min later redhead showed up demanding I pay for another adult. Now how is that professional and proper? Why, just why if I said 2 adults, 3 children, paid then stalked to pay more? Won't be back I guarantee that! read more

We've been going to this theater for a long time, and while it's definitely the best option for the area it still has some downfalls. We saw Avatar the Way of Water today and both the movie & trailers/preshow were blurry. I was hoping once the film started it would get better since the cgi is the main attraction for it but it was pretty much the same the whole time. I dont know why this would be, possibly their equipment lagging? Not sure. I was going to speak to someone about it after the movie was done but they had a long line so I didn't want to interrupt. Overall it was a pretty disappointing experience but a pretty good movie despite the quality issues with the projection. In the future if there's a movie I'm really looking forward to I'll drive up to portland to see it, but this theater will be fine for just the average movie night. read more

8 dollars!!!! That is it! Unassuming 90s era outfit. Concession stand is friendly and reasonable. Sound isn't overbearing or loud. Don't look for state of the art here. This place is your cozy neighborhood theater. A good rotation of movies. They even text movie times. read more

A nice way to stay out of the rain. On our camping trip in the winter we decided to get out of the rain and see a movie. We picked the next one that was playing which was the new James Bond. Apparently, we picked opening weekend so the movie theatre was packed but still plenty of room for all to enjoy. Nice seats and reasonably priced. They have stadium seating which is nice some other older coastal theaters aren't there yet. Small cinema but adequate choices and current movies. I would definitely come back again. read more

You have to wait in the concession line to get your movie tickets. Took forever to get tickets. One person working with a line of 15+ people. All in all an average movie experience. read more

Worker is rude af. My brother tried showing his ACTIVE student I. D. It's supposed to be cheaper. Dude said "don't need it already seen it" He wasn't even looking. movie time posted online was 12:20, get to the theater it shows 12:50 as a show time. we wait about a half hour and the theater is still locked up. signs state theatre opens half hour before first movie. First movie was posted to start at 11:30. Lots of people waiting for theatre to open, someone calls and we all listen to the recording. The recording states different times and no movie starts before 2:00. Watched about 20 people leave very unhappy, we drove over 20 miles to get there will never go back read more

First run theatre that seems to do a better job than its sister location in Seaside. No frills, clean, way over-priced concessions, staffed by very young employees that have either been above and beyond awesome, or an evolutionary u-turn. Show prices are decent (much cheaper than Hillsboro / Burbs of PDX). They have a rewards program. Also,get your gift cards at Costco and you save $5 per gift card. If you are not in a rush to see a release, wait and go to the Columbian Theatre in Astoria, sit in the balcony, drink beer, eat a pizza, and grope the wife / girlfriend like you are in high school again. This was my first theatre that I caught a show at upon moving to Oregon, so good memories. read more

This is a first-run movie theater with 8 screens. For a small town cinema, it's quite nice. It's part of the Coming Attractions Theatres chain, and they have a Rewards Club card. The place is kept very clean, the seats are comfy and the staff is friendly. There is plenty of parking. You often buy the movie tickets inside (and avoid waiting in the rain). Theater to myself and no waiting in line? Yes please! I came here on a Tuesday afternoon ($7, they have student and military discounts) and saw five other people throught my visit. I bought my tickets inside at the concession stand and both employees were super nice and friendly. So happy to refill my popcorn and soda! Justice League playing, had to listen to 2 little kids throughout the movie. One under 2. A man in our row drunk, reeked of it. He fell into my son, later he passed out. Row littered with beer cans. He came drunk but let in. When I talked to management I was told they bought tickets. So ok to be obnoxious assholes and wreck everyone's movie as long as you buy a ticket. It's a clean theater, unlike Seaside... and like every one around, the junk food is very overpriced. Ticket prices are reasonable tho. It wasn't crowded and no one was talking or texting on their cell phones, which was nice. But we went to an early showing, so maybe that helped. Experience was perfect. No line. I bought our food & tickets. The service was friendly. The Asst Mgr & his employee prepared & brought the food to our seat. Super nice I accidentally dropped my wallet under the seat and left the theater. Later when I came back they had it and said they had tried to go to the parking lot to catch me. All the money was there. They were awesome every time they had an opportunity to provide service. We were in movie theater 6 and watched beauty and the beast. read more
