This is one of the better parks that I have been able to take my daughter in recent times, and it was something I wasn't expecting at all. The park has two playground areas - one for toddlers aged 2-5 and one for 5 and on, and they are both extremely well kept. Each side has about 6 to 7 age appropriate swings in excellent condition. Additionally, there are a variety of slides that can be used, including one that makes it seem like it's a volcano ("Floor is lava!" anyone?) There are cargo nets and different bars that give it that obstacle course feeling, which makes it a great park for both the adult and child to participate in. I was pleasantly surprised to see bug repellant being readily available for use by the park patrons. The vending machines were in excellent working order, and the bathrooms were clean. You can catch an amazing reverse view of the sunset from the different tables and gazebos, as well as from the grass right next to the park too. You can occasionally see people riding horses in the area. Great sight for kids!

What a great playground! I came over to use the dog park but this amazing play space caught my eye. The park is 7 acres and includes two playgrounds and a splash park. The playground had a tiered play structure, slides, and swings. The splash park was upgraded in 2016 from the original 1997 version. It includes a small freedom boat water slide, a silo with four showers, a palm tree shower and two water cannons. The kids that were getting hosed down by the water sprays were having a ball. Other park amenities include a restroom with both soda and ice cream vending machines, barbecue grills, and a large pavilion that can be reserved for parties from the Parkland parks and recreation department.

Wow what an adorable hidden gem! I took my almost two year old here and he had a blast. They have a park for older children, one for toddlers and then a decent sized water area with slides. We came during the week so it wasn't overly crowded but we will definitely be back!

By far the best park for little kids! I had no clue this park existed until my fiancé suggested I take my 3 yr old and 7 yr old little cousins here. It was literally like 5mins away from my house. There are not many parking spaces but you can park in the grass area near the park. The weather was perfect and the park was so cozy and beautiful. It is all made from wood and they have so many tunnels, slides, monkey bars, things to climb on and swings. There is plenty of shade and tables to sit near the play ground. Restrooms were clean. You can rent out pavilions but they don't have many. So make sure you book early. I love that the park is section off with a wood fence that way the kids do not have access to run out near the road. You feel safe and comfortable letting them run around.

Great park for my 4 year old! Very clean and organized! We love it that is shaded and not so hot during the summer time!

Love love love this park! Beyond clean, and lots of things to entertain the kids. They have a separate toddler area which my 2 year old took advantage of and the small splash pad as well!

A little splash park for a hot sunny day

The park is just down the street from the Westchester Elementary School and adjacent to Westchester Park. The dog park is named for its sponsor, Dr. Steven G. Paul who dedicated his life to animals and creating this park for the community. Dr. Paul was a veterinary graduate of Ohio State University. He ran two veterinary hospitals and gave public lectures on pet care, wrote newspaper and magazine columns, and appeared on local television to give pet tips. Dr. Paul attended veterinary conference in Massachusetts in 1992 and saw a dog park in Boston Commons. He loved the idea of dogs playing freely and decided to bring the idea back to South Florida. The dog park was built in the mids 90's in the Coral Springs Sportsplex. A non smoker, he lost his battle to lung cancer at the age of 50 on February 7th, 2007. The park restrooms on the outside of the fence, Inside the dog park are two areas, one for small dogs and a much larger open space for the big dogs. New agility equipment and water stations have been added for the dogs and there are benches and shade areas for the people. There are two entrances to the dog park. The one on University Drive is through the Sportsplex. The back entrance is in Westchester Park. I have always enjoyed this dog park. I used to take my Jack Russell once a week for years while my daughter was at karate class. I would walk the path for exercise while he would play and follow along. Now there are signs posted warning to beware of coyotes which have been reported in the area lately. It is nice to know the park is treated monthly for ticks and fleas. This lovely park that is enjoyed by people and their pups is open daily from sunrise to 9 PM.

On one side you have the dog Park, and on the other side you have a memorial. On the side where the memorial is, which is closer to University drive is, sometimes a farmers market operates during the weekend. On the dog park area there isn't much going on other than a parking lot and the actual dog enclosure, but it is very busy. I have observed many people come in with their dogs, and I only stay a few minutes every time I come in. But in those few minutes I can tell the traffic is high. One thing worth mentioning is that Pitbulls are not allowed unless they are registered in the city of Tamarac. Overall a cute little park to bring your dog for a run!
