Her parents dedicated this playground to her so she can be remembered for the positivee/radiant way she lived as opposed to a gravesite with flowers. The playground is a blast for kids of All ages. It has multiple slides, swings, musical instruments and ways for kids to explore their senses.. it has become my favorite park in Coral Springs. It has plenty of shade, seating and best of all, it is completely enclosed with only two exit/entrances. I highly recommend this playground for those with kiddies. Such a beautiful and honorable way to remember this young soul, her name will forever live on with the laughter and joy this park brings!

I felt like after many degrading years of travel soccer, high school soccer really lifted my love for the game back up. Because of this field (and the many hours spent on it) we were 4x District Champions, 3x Regional Champions, and 2x State Champions. Plus there is sort of a path that goes around the park (if you include the regular sidewalk on one side). There are a lot of nice trees, but I would say there is about 50% shade coverage. So for me that may not be enough. But for others who want to use the facilities and don't mind the heat, it could be nice.

This small neighborhood park is just a bit over one acre in size. It's right behind one of my…read moredoctor's offices and next to the Imperial Point hospital. Although small in size, it's got a lot to offer. It is totally enclosed by a fence. There are shaded benches under large, gorgeous trees. And children's playgrounds -- including one under a tarp so it is covered from the sun. Swings. A basketball hoop to practice; facilities including a water fountain. In addition, there's a path around the outside -- a "health trail". This is like a parcour with different physical level exercises at each stop. Signs explain that there's no alcohol allowed and no pets except on leashes. Also, no smoking. I loved seeing a favorite -- the small free lending library box near one of the fences. It had a nice mix of adult novels and children's books in a colorful little structure. This is a great place for a respite from visiting a loved one at the hospital, a nice lunch break area, or just a fun place to bring the kids to play.

So glad some friends told us about this place awhile back when we were talking about places to take the grandkids in the future. But even if you're just a kid at heart, You may want to visit here. Wear your bathing suit. It's easy to find. And there's ample free parking out front. Mid week when we stopped by it wasn't very busy. But if I had kids, I'd be here every weekend -- especially in our recent hot weather. First and foremost is the interactive water/splash pad. So many machines spraying water, buckets dumping, etc etc. The three kids there were squealing with joy and excitement. Such fun. There's also a story walk/trail for children with various stops plus a regular walking trail. A covered playground with equipment for kids. A Volleyball sand court; basketball court; grills; picnic areas... all with a large swath of green grass in the middle -- perfect for events/concerts. On the south end is the canal C-14 with a fishing pier. More "waters edge" as in the name. And also for adults, there's a covered area right near the water with all sorts of gym/exercise equipment. Don't know what more you could want except maybe a few more resting benches along the main trail for the older folks... Go check it out. Bring the kids.

This is a wonderful and somewhat hidden ten acre park in the Gates of Hillsboro neighborhood in…read moreDeerfield Beach. The park is along the G-08 Hillsboro Canal. There is a boat ramp so you can get your watercraft onto the canal and a fishing pier. Parking is free for boat trailers. This is a great place to boat, fish, and bird watch. During my visit I saw an osprey dive into the canal for fish and a limpkin on the pier. Other park amenities include restrooms, a playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, a sand volleyball pit, and a fitness trail with 12 exercise stations. Several small pavilions and a large main pavilion can be rented by Deerfield Beach residents from the city for a fee. I closed my exercise ring today using the fitness trail and some of the stations. It's nice to see the kids out again using the playground equipment after so many months of it being closed. This is a great spot to enjoy the best of South Florida's weather.

We arrived early, and although the parking lot is pretty large, it filled up quickly because of the event. I'm sure on regular days parking is much easier to find. Right at the entrance there's a drinking fountain, which was nice on such a hot Florida day. The park has two playgrounds -- one for younger kids and another for older children. There's also a covered pavilion area where the restroom is located. The restroom itself looked quite old and unfortunately wasn't very clean. Also, the park closes fairly early (7 AM-7 PM), and they actually lock the restroom at closing time. Huge thanks to the park ranger though -- my kids needed the restroom at the very last minute, and we literally ran to make it before the door closed. The ranger saw us coming and kindly waited for us. Very appreciated! One thing I really liked about this park is the amount of shade. There are huge trees all around the playground, so even during the heat it feels cooler and breezy. We were also surprised to find a small gazebo with a roof fully covered in solar panels -- it even had lights in the evening and a spot to charge your phone, which was such a cool detail. There aren't many benches around the playground, so my little life hack: bring a folding chair or a picnic blanket. And definitely bring mosquito spray for the evening. The playground surface looks like rubber, but somehow my kids still ended up super dusty and dirty after playing. An ice cream truck came by during the event, and the entire playground rushed toward it immediately -- of course we did too The ice cream was actually really good. I got the orange & cream flavor, and my kids chose mango. Around the playground there are walking trails and a lake with a small bridge nearby. Just something to note: the bridge doesn't have side rails, so keep an eye on little kids. Overall, it's a nice park with great shade, lots of breeze, and a relaxing atmosphere.

When my daughter was in elementary school and played for the city recreation team all of her soccer meets were held here. In addition to the soccer fields there is also basketball courts, sand volleyball court, a walking/ jogging path, picnic pavilion, restrooms and a playground. Coconut Creek residents can rent the fields for a discounted rate. Prices are on the Coconut Creek city website. The lights here are great so you can play at night. On the evening I stopped by every court and field was filled. If you rent at night the fee is a little higher for use of the lights.
