I take my dog here every once in a while and have been for almost two years now. My dog is a medium sized dog and I normally take him to the bigger dog side(over 25 pounds). Sometimes I will take him to the smaller dog side(under 25 pounds) after making sure the smaller dog owners are fine with this. Most of the people who bring there dogs here are very nice. The people on the smaller side are normally more talkative and nicer but that's just from my personal experiences. The bigger dog side can also have some mud puddles if it had rained that week so keep this in mind. My dog loves the mud so I don't mind when he goes in it. The park also has a hose station so you can wash your dog off before you take them home. I appreciate this because my dog likes to get dirty. The bigger side has a lot more trees and more shade for the dogs versus the smaller side. read more

Barkland is a convenient dog park in Parkland. It has two sections, large and small-- Cutoff at 25lbs. While it's so nice to have a dog park in this area, unfortunately not many people take their dog here and it's often empty. Maybe 5 years ago it was more busy but it's not the best place to go to get your dog playing. There's also the big flag pole in the area that may frighten some dogs. Overall, nice if you want a local park. However I'd recommend other parks like Canine Cove or Mizner Bark. read more

I really wanted to love this place, I really did. My two Golden Retrievers were attacked on two separate occasions by an aggressive Rottweiler, and German Shepherd. When I confronted the dog owner he stated "dogs will be dogs". When a dog is biting to cause injury you should remove your dog from the park. Seriously some of the owners of dominant breeds need to have control over their dogs. When my dog was bitten by this uneducated owners dog I immediately intervened. The incompetent dog owner then became upset because I separated my dog from being seriously injured. When he threatened to contact the police I gladly showed him my badge. This is a dog park not a dog fighting ring. I will never take my dogs back to a dog park after these two separate incidents. Aside from my personal experience the dog park was beautiful. It's upsetting that some people don't have the dignity or respect to have control of their pets. read more

I love this dog park! ~ Barkland is just over two (2) acres in size and it is clean, has poop bags, water fountains for your doggies and humans and it's a very nicely detailed fenced in park. ~ There's a section for dogs "Under 25 lbs." and one for "Over 25 lbs." and a separate section to wash off your dog if necessary. ~ When I was there it seems that all the dog owners where very nice and their dogs well behaved. ~ They even have covered pavilions, walking trails, benches and picnic tables. Their early warning "Lighting Alert" sensors (see photo) just puts this dog park over the top in technology. Opened in 2012 Barkland is a little over 2 acres and includes separate areas for dogs under 25 pounds and a larger area for dogs over 25 pounds. The park is open every day 7:30 AM until sunset. Amenities provided included a dog washing station, water fountains for both pets and people, walking trails, covered pavilions, and benches. There are also things for the dogs to climb through and climb over. You don't have to register your dog to use the park and it is up to you to be diligent to watch and protect your dog. You are also expected to grab one of of the bags and clean up and properly dispose of waste if your dog goes to the bathroom. Parkland did a very nice job on the park. They added a lot of trees and pretty landscaping. There is a kid park next door with bathrooms and vending machines for drinks and ice cream but there are signs advising the dog park people to not take the dogs on the playground side. read more

Hose for cleaning off the pups. Not everyone picks up after their dogs so be careful where you step in the grass. Came on a Monday morning and there were about five dogs to play with. Gladly they were all well behaved to make our first trip a successful play day. read more

At first when we arrived to the park, we were actually nervous, since it was Thomas first time going to a dog park, we really like that the park was actually very clean they had waste bags and bowls for him to drink water from, we also like that the park was divided in two sections ( dogs under 25 pounds and over 25 pounds) Tommy had so much fun and the people there was so friendly, we loved spending the afternoon just watching him play, we will be definitely visiting this park often. We are glad that we were actually able to find the park through yelp!!! read more

Barkland at parkland is my favorite local dog park in the coral springs/Parkland area. It offers a small dog area (less than 25 pounds) and a large dog area (over 25 pounds). They have plenty of benches for the dog owners, poop bags available throughout, and water fountains for the pups. My favorite feature is a gated dog bath area for when your pup gets dirty and sweaty. Overall a clean and generally pleasant place to tire out your canine and enjoy other dogs and their company. read more

It's well kept in comparison to most dog parks in the area. It actually has grass, not just a big mud pit or small fenced in area filled with overgrown weeds. it also has several benches to sit and watch the dogs run. This is a great dog bark. There are 2 sides , one for larger dogs and one for the smaller ones. Everyone was friendly and attentive to what their dogs were doing which is always a good thing in the event one of our furry friends doesn't like another. There are poop bags available as well as a clean water fountain for the dogs to get a drink when needed. Each side has a sidewalk path which is very convenient if you have a fit bit and want to get some extra steps in :) There are even benches and covered pavilions for those who want to relax and watch the kids at play. Bar none, a great facility for small and big dogs. There's a common holding area, but the small dog and big dog enclosures are separated with large and proper signage to distinguish the two. I have a pretty tiny pupper, so the small dog area is just right for him. There could be more agility course offerings, but there is plenty of space for the dogs to run around. Obviously, it's a fantastic location; quiet and tucked away in Parkland, next to Liberty Park. Everyone I've met there have been really friendly and ready to strike up a conversation. There are water baths (hoses) to cool down and "clean" your dogs in the common holding area, along with drinking fountains for the fur kids. Overall, a pleasant experience. read more

in the small dog park there is an area where the fence doesn't meet the ground and a small dog can escape. my dog is only 5 pounds so i didn't feel safe putting him down to run freely because I didn't know if there were other areas not secured. people were friendly enough but there were a lot of aggressive dogs in the big dog park. read more

We take our three cockapoos here all of the time, it has a large park with a side for big dogs and a side for small dogs. The big dog side is relatively larger than the small dog side and there seems to be more dog fights that happen between the bigger dogs, otherwise for the most part the dogs are well socialized and the people are very friendly. The only thing that can be improved is people picking up after their dogs. read more
