Spacious dog park with lots of other friendly dogs to hangout with. Tons of walking trails, grass fields, water access and bridges with tables and trashcans along the way.

Did tai chi with a group one Saturday morning here. Had never been to this park before. It's conveniently located just off Lake Ida and hiding inside is a great lake!! The group was meeting under the banyan trees. Perfect for tai chi (to me there was a theme). The view facing the water was so great. It really enhances the experience. There is a walking trail, there are picnic tables alongside the water, I know there is a dog park in there somewhere but I did not venture all the way in or to that part of the park. Parking is easy and plentiful in different areas throughout. I like it here and will be back.

My Boujee, loves to go to the Lake Ida Dog Park. It is a wonderful spot to socialize your doggies and give them free reign to romp around unencumbered. This is a regular happy spot for me and my American Eskimo dog. There is a large dog area and a small dog area. For the most part the park is clean, and most pet owners pick up after their animals. An unfortunate few may not, or may not notice when their dog has done their business.

Nice park in Delray. Easily walkable with various change of scenery to enjoy and pass time. On the weekends, you will see people painting and having fun strolling along. While I didn't use this option, it does look like there's a boat launch option for easy access to the lake. In addition to that, There's a nice dog park in the center of the park which has different areas for dogs over 30 plus pounds and those that are less.

This park isn't just for pups. There is a lot for people to enjoy too. The actual name of this place is the Lake Ida Park and Dog Park. Including the lake the linear park is 189.26 acres. In the back of the park is the Dog Park at Lake Ida. There are two large dog sections that are rotated and one small dog section. Amenities include a dog was station, dog fountains, restrooms and benches. The dog park is open daily from sunrise to sunset but is closed for maintenance on Thursdays from 12-3 PM. There are many things for people to enjoy it the park as well. There is a two mile walking and bicycle path, canoe, kayak, and jet ski access to the lake, lake observation platform, fishing pier, playgrounds, picnic pavilions and grills. During my visit I saw many people enjoying the park. People were jet skiing, exercising, fishing, cooking out, watching their kids play at the playground, and photographing the wide variety of birds at the edge of the lake. I came to watch the sun set on another beautiful Florida day. This peaceful park offers an oasis of nature in the urban sprawl.

This is such a great dog park! First time there with my puppy - at first ap was a little nervous but this nice woman helped me thru my nerves. There is an area for small, med and large dogs! Perfect! B/c I have a 3 month old puppy 20 lbs. The people here were very nice too which was gr8! The dog park tired my pup out and that was perfect! it is clean- parking is easy - and ai love that there is a double gate so if your dog gets out of the area she is protected by the next gate! It's only 10 minutes from my house!

It's great that the parks are now opened. Great park to take a breezy walk during the week. On the weekends, it's quite busy with boaters and dog owners. Play areas and large pavilions are still closed for now. Thus limits the number of visitors.

Anyways, pay $20 to park in the dedicated parking lot, pay your $11/dog for your dog passes, & then walk through the long tunnel into the beach, you can only go left once entered the beach with your dogs, must show your tickets/"dog pass" to whatever security guard that is at the beach entrance, should be a very quick ordeal and go about your business. Extremely packed beach, packed with a TON of dogs, very oddly enough, not everyone in the dog beach is "dog friendly" so keep an eye on your dog. Best deal is to come towards closing (for the sunset & the heat decrease) especially if you weren't planning on spending the entire day.

If you live nearby and love the outdoors, this is also the perfect spot to get your steps in while soaking up nature and staying active -- a workout that doesn't feel like one! My husband and I originally planned a quick visit and ended up staying for nearly three hours -- this place has a way of pulling you in. We chose to walk the boardwalk first and save the nature center for last, but if you're visiting from out of area or just want more context before you explore, I'd recommend flipping that order. The nature center is packed with information about the wetlands ecosystem, the wildlife that calls it home, and the fascinating history of the site itself -- none of which I knew before visiting. Grab a map before you head out! On our walk, we spotted an alligator gliding through the pond, turtles, and an impressive variety of bird species. The sounds were incredibly peaceful, and the stretches of shaded tree hammocks offered the perfect reprieve from the sun. We came across Gumbo Limbo trees, sabal palms, and strangler figs among other beautiful native species. It was truly a magical experience, and I cannot wait to come back!

In 2008 and 2009 the park received 1.5 million dollars of improvements, paid for in part by a grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Education. The land for the park was purchased from the Florida Inland Navigation District. This park has been named the Jaycee Park for about a half century even thought the last local Jaycees chapter closed in 1999. The front section of the park has the improvements made in 2008 which include two children's play areas, one for younger children and one for older, with slides, swings, and climbing structures, shaded by a large ficus tree. There are also two bocce ball courts, sheltered picnic tables, restroom and a walking path. Along the paved path is the Boynton Beach Maritime Heritage Trail which tells you about the history of Boynton Beach, the early settlers, sport fishing, the Boynton Beach inlet, and more. There also signs throughout the park about nurturing nature. The eastern edge of the park has a mangrove nature preserve. Mangroves are important to the environment because hey clean the water and they provide a protective nursery for sea life to spawn. In 2009 a 300 foot boardwalk was added to the park overlooking the Intracoastal for fishing and nature observation. Manatees have been spotted here. It also provides a front row seat for the annual holiday boat parade. To the north of the boardwalk is a small ramp where you can launch a canoe, kayak, or paddle board. I loved reading all of the signs in the park relating to history and nature. There were also several beautiful public art pieces to view as well. This park is a wonderful spot to take the kids to play, picnic, fish, and enjoy the beauty of nature. It is easy to see why this park is such a beloved destination in Boynton Beach.

This park also known as the Spanish River Athletic Facility has a lot of amenities. It is ADA accessible. It has many sports fields including 4 baseball / softball field, football field, and 4 soccer fields. There is restrooms, concession stands, a playground, picnic areas with tables, and exercise paths. Lacrosse and rugby are other sports played in the park. My favorite part of the park is the exercise path that runs around the 20 acre lake. I loved watching ospreys diving into the lake and coming up with fish. This lake attracts a wildlife including birds and even a snake that crossed my path. There is a fitness zone with outdoor exercise path along this path but it is currently closed because of Covid. This path connects under the bridge to the path that runs through Pondhawk Natural Area across the road. That path also leads to the Spanish River Library. You can really get a great running/ walking workout here. There are even more exercise paths that run behind the athletic fields in the back of the park. Another great thing about this park is that there is a lot of security which puts your mind at ease that your car is less likely to get broken into compared to other parks. I saw security driving around on the golf cart several times during my visit. This park is open every day from 8 to 11 except for Sunday when they close at 6. I love working out at this lovely park.

There are signs at one part of the lake that say Dog are prohibited, but people seem to ignore that. To sum it up, it's a nice place to ride or walk except for inconsiderate people.
