I have done a lot of my own research but I am not a roofer so his patience and willingness to go over every aspect of the project in detail was appreciated. He was transparent both in regards to what needed to be done and the methods of accomplishing it and what he considered superfluous marketing. He took the time to ensure I had a detailed understanding of the industry standards regarding labor, techniques, and roofing components. Pricing was also transparent and he tried to accommodate my needs. I wanted someone who had good BBB reports and was master certified by CertainTeed and Gaf. DO NOT HIRE BEFORE READING THIS…read more Horrible experience. I have been waiting a little to write this so my emotions can cool down. I had leaking in my roof and met with many roofers to get an estimate. I hired Peter, giving him half upfront, because he seemed real nice and was able to do all of the work and warranty it all. I gave him the job in early April and was working full time while studying for my masters so I did not stay on top of him. For months he kept saying he would come and never did. Eventually he came and started to do the work he agreed to. Six months later (early October) the roof was not even half way done. I fired him and presumed to meet with other roofers because winter was coming and he was never going to finish. I hired another roofer and in his estimate he explained how and why Peters company did a "horrendous job and poses a real threat to the structure". His words verbatim. After the snow storm last week I had major leaking in an area that never leaked. So to summarize, Peters company took my money, didn't finish the job after 6 months, and the job they did do was worse than the roof originally was. I would never recommend him to do a job and pray for anyone who does.

He left the samples with me for a few days giving time to absorb the various materials and colors. As part of his school, Gary explained what the roofing shingles are made of and informed me about the company that makes them. That being said, upon my approval to go ahead with the work, his roofing staff showed up promptly and they did a great job. I have not had any leaking. I needed new ply wood which cannot be seen until the old roof is removed, but the added expense was reasonable. There was one area that I didn't find flat enough (even though it was placed correctly) and Gary's assistant, Filipe immediately got on the ladder and flattened it out completely. They also came back as promised to replace some caps on the gutters. I found that some of the older roof had fallen onto a historic lamp in the front of my house and Gary and one of his staff returned to fix it. He then followed up once again to be sure it was holding and then again via text. Very reliable.
